Maybe you thought we were exaggerating when we said capitalists don’t see the rest of us as human.

In the most populous state in India, this month during the coronavirus pandemic, when the migrant labourers in the country were frantically trying to reach their homes, hungry and penniless, the state government suspended major labour laws. The suspension of these laws means that the workers now have to face the lack of proper hygiene and safety in workplace,employment uncertainty and lesser wages.Paying the price for profit of capitalists, in their sweat and tears.The state government suspended labour laws because it believes it would invite more investment.

During the coronavirus lockdown, the condition of the working lower class people was abysmal, the government hardly provided any transportation for them to reach their homes, some of them walked hundreds of kilometres. Some of them died while walking those kilometres on foot.

The urban upper class population is comfortable inside their homes and unsurprisingly not outraged over the treatment of workers like animals. I feel like there is civil unrest on the horizon with wealth disparity through the roof.

When one class of people are spending their time deciding which fancy Instagram-able desert to bake and one class of people's every rights are being cut off, then it won't take long before the screams of their sufferings start the glass doors to your comfortable home.

As I put my head out of the covers to look my table lamp, the exhausting process of thinking over and over again has calmed down, although just for some seconds. The need to press the buttons on the phone screen searching for someone, anyone to share this anxiety seems fruitless. All those questions that seek answers are just maybe seeking attention. How can another human being from birth who has never seen this world like you did, tell you anything about those questions in your head that has birthed and germinated in this your impenetrable skull. Where all physical happenings don't have answers, how can something intangible , unobservable, unquantifiable have any answer.

Maybe the overthinking is not the cause of my discomfort, maybe it's a symptom of something else.
