Now, I was thinking about this a lot this year, at various times. It came up when I tried to decorate my dining room for Rosh Hashanah but couldn’t find anything I like that really fit. It was still on my mind when the jack-o’-lanterns and bats appeared and then disappeared again under an onslaught of red and green. And then the Chanukah sections.

more juke as gymmates plsssss

lmaooo why is this so funny

uhh

both luke and julie start looking for excuses to hold hands around the gym because ‘they’re looking at us weird’ even though literally no one is looking at them

alex rolls his eyes at them a lot. the frequency of his eye rolls increases when he finds out they’re now “””married””” and decides to switch his gym schedule because he can’t be there at the same time as them without losing it

for the first few weeks julie has to rely on luke to show her the ropes - she’s never really gone to the gym so he helps her out........,,she may act a little stupid at times to get him to show her again because 👀 yknow 👀 *gestures at luke*

everyone at the gym think they’re adorable. obviously

reggie considers joining because he thinks this is all super hilarious but he also super ships juke. so 👀 (flynn pops in every now and then to laugh and throw looks at her friend. also to be supportive ofc)

reggie asks to be adopted by julie and luke but is surprisingly turned down

it’s fine he thinks it’s worth paying a little extra to get to watch his two dumb friends who are obviously very much in love with each other act like they’re in love even though there’s not much acting going on

julie gets caught by reggie staring at luke while he’s doing push-ups and ends up avoiding reggie for about a week

the gym ask if they can take a picture of juke working out to post on their social media/insta and they both awkwardly agree - it ends up being the picture with the most likes because of the way luke is staring at julie as she tries to focus all her energy on lifting the damn bar (idk i don’t go to the gym she’s lifting something)

when they’re nearing the end of the year (julie and luke had initially agreed they’d do this for a year and then stop) both kind of quietly agree to keep doing it because 1. julie’s kinda getting used to the whole gym routine 2. fake marriage means hand holding

just want to reiterate luke ‘THATS MY WIFE’ patterson walking around the gym

one day luke’s working out a little more aggressively than usual, he’s frustrated and angry and julie’s kind of worried about him (both his mental and physical health). so she walks up to him as he’s bench pressing at an alarming speed, and places her hand on his.

he stop at her touch, looking up at her with anguished eyes. he sits up and she immediately wraps him in a hug, luke pulling her down onto his lap, wrapping his arms around her tight as he buries his head in her neck.

they stay that way for a while.

things change a little between them after that.

no one wanted to interrupt them at the gym.

Another PSA for my Darlings!

You a quick reminder of a few things as we go into fall, spooky season, thanksgiving, and the winter holidays 

1. No matter what, bellies are cute. Your belly is cute, so don’t bully yourself over it. Your tummy isn’t ugly or gross, and it isn’t ruining that outfit you love on the hanger but hate on yourself. It’s making it better, and keeping you alive. 

2. Eat the yummy treats! There is no harm in letting yourself enjoy that cookie that looks good or the candy you’ve been eyeing. Cake and pie is not your enemy and you aren’t failing if you indulge. 

3. Life is a constant journey, and nothing is going to come from punishing yourself over nothing. You’re allowed to enjoy food, and you’re allowed to eat. Be conscious of how wonderful your body is and how much you’ve earned a treat. 

You’re allowed to snack, you’re allowed to try everything that looks good, and you’re allowed to let yourself. Don’t feel bad about doing something everyone else does without a second thought. 

4. Being bloated or gaining weight isn’t the end of the world. It happens to everyone and fluctuating in your weight is normal during the holidays. It’s going to start getting cold and some people suffer from seasonal (or all the time) depression. Do what you have to do to feel better. 

5. Let yourself live, and when you feel bad about yourself, come back and read this message and remember I love you, and everyone in the PSR community is supporting you.
