Give me a story where the love couple turns into a POWER couple.

None of that stupid nonsense of trying to save each other

Give me a couple where they have full trust and confidence in each other, to the point that they will stand with them and go toe-to-toe with some of the biggest threats they’ve faced

Give me a couple that will TRULY go through hell together and come out on top in the end

Oh wait…I’m a writer. I can do that too

The Crow’s Parlor

She was too focused to notice the shift in the air. There was a low buzz, almost like crackling static. It was as if someone had rubbed a balloon on her arm and made her hair stand up with static electricity. It was a weird feeling that should’ve alarmed her had she not been concentrating so hard. 

Asher glanced over his shoulder in her direction. “So, that’s how you wanna play?”

Before she could react, he snapped his Energy outward like a whip. Raw Energy slammed into her physical body through the tender connection with a force she wasn’t expecting. It speared through her Energies, mind, and body in one go. The surge overwhelmed her senses in a jarring, split second breath.

She gasped, hand grasping her chest as she fell back. The buzz coursed through her body and blurred her vision, canting the room abruptly to the right. She dug her nails and boots into the wood floor in an effort to ground herself. The room wasn’t actually tilting but it sure felt like it was about to plunge her into the depths of Asher’s icy darkness.

His dark frame blended into a single shape as her world finally rightened, and she discovered he was standing over her. She struggled to breathe, let alone think, and desperately tried to regain control of her heavy limbs.

names are important. but if you spend three hours naming a side character, they better have their own spin-off.

Monthly writing: three stories written, two contests entered, one deadline missed. One extra long chaos draft to wrangle into a larger story in the future. I do love writing about the WWJ clan.

just started the publishing process and I hate when I miss the deadline by like a day or two :(
