if by references she meant a missing finger then yeah. it almost felt… too easy in the end. if that is possible considering being buried alive and almost shot multiple times. the stakes were high this entire debacle, but they’d been that way the first go around with Jason’s murder. maybe it’s the additions of veronica’s father or the red circle crusade or – the list goes on forever. he swirls the straw in his milkshake halfheartedly. “but if I had a chance to catch the right guy and didn’t… then aren’t I responsible?” archie isn’t trying to be difficult, but values her opinion. talking things out is something that works well in their relationship. she keeps him from being too much in his head as long as he’s honest about what he’s thinking.
