There is an unspoken believe that black women are responsible in leading “The Revolution.” As if our pool of emotional labor is unlimited.
This “black women will save us” ideology forces black women into the role of “The Savior of Mankind.” It is also a belief that doesn’t allow self reflection amongst the liberal white and model minority communities.
#can't push off the responsibility of revolution to someone else#especially those most harmed by our current shit castle of a society

Quote
The big lie about capitalism is that everyone can be rich. That’s impossible. Capitalism works only if the vast majority of the population are kept poor enough to never quit working, are kept poor enough to accept distasteful jobs society cannot function without. If everyone were a millionaire, who would empty the trash or repair the sewers? It follows that the poorer the general population is made, the greater the worth of the money held by the wealthy, in terms of the lives which may be bought and sold with it.

you do not want to find out the hard way how our society treats misfits who’ve made mistakes.
(written out and formatted below the cut)
I am your clock I am your religion I am your shotgun mechanical pride Nothing is done without my approval I own you I own you I decide how long you sleep and how much rest you are ever allowed I decide what you desire I deny you time to think I am the mirror of constant humiliation that follows and shadows you wherever you go be on time be on schedule Always feel like you are always late Do not daydream Do not fall behind Wings are flapping right behind you as I swoop down like a hungry owl and sink my talons deep into your back No time allowed to try something you like- The bills were all due yesterday
I am your teacher who yelled at you for not paying attention in class and shamed you in front of the entire class and dragged you around the room by the hair this is what happens to boys and girls who’s handwriting is messy Be neat, like the others- follow orders- obey what is put in front of you
Imagination is a sin.
I am your counselor. We need to have a little talk if you like school, you’ll love work You can’t be creative the rest of your life! Resign yourself to a job you’ll hate. Get a hobby! But keep it to the garage. Despise your ideas your boss knows best. Always settle for what you’re told to expect we can’t all do what we want to do.
Do not take chances! You might fail. And you do not want to find out the hard way how our society treats misfits who’ve made mistakes.
I am your calendar I leave you exhausted, hen-pecked, and afraid I lead you down garden path after path with carrots on a stick I will let you taste but never embrace Do not peek through that door, I’ll slam it on your fingers— No! No! Adventure is Not Allowed! you don’t have time, you don’t have time Never enough energy at the end of the day to recharge your batteries and reclaim who you are, or try to build something better than the grind you call your life.
I am your Blackberry you must submit unto me demonically possessed by your handheld guardian angel You take me to bed, put me beside you on the nightstand you take me to the beach, you text while you are driving out of fear you’ll fall behind One interruption after another Try with a pitchfork to beat them all away, from every direction what was I trying to get done a second ago? You’ll never know! Concentration out the window, stop everything for every goddamn instant message, playing ping-pong with the inside of your head.
More every week More every year When was the last time you got a good night’s sleep? or stopped the smell the roses or even stopped to think
Instant this/instant that How much of it ever really matters? Keeping up with every tweet and every blather You wind up missing everything else and wind up becoming that much easier to manipulate.
The hatch of your guinea pig cage is open but guess who waits right outside the door— Stay on that treadmill, keep running on your little metal wheel briefcase in hand, money raining just out of reach
The house the car the kids mortgage payments The more you own, the more you owe to maintain it.
No matter how much money you make you’re barely making it.
More and more overhead but where is the shelter?
You’ll burn out soon enough it’s all part of the plan When you’re no longer useful, you can finally retire Free at last in the glue factory of your choice to scratch your head and wonder What happened to me?
Free at last— tic, tic, tic, I bid you goodbye on your own to wait and die.
Jello’s spoken word in particular doesn’t translate great to the page, and some words I may have heard incorrectly (shotgun mechanical... bride?bribe? idfk) so apologies and enjoy.

Sources on capitalism and world poverty
Who is not Poor? Proposing a Higher International Standard for Poverty - Poverty reduction is now, and quite properly should remain, the primary objective of the World Bank. But, when the World Bank dreams of a world free of poverty—what should it be dreaming?
Exposing the Great Poverty Reduction Lie - Poverty is not disappearing as quickly as they say. In fact, according to some measures, poverty has been getting significantly worse. If we are to be serious about eradicating poverty, we need to cut through the sugarcoating and face up to some hard facts.
The True Extent of Global Poverty and Hunger: Questioning the Good News Narrative of the Millennium Development Goals - Closer inspection reveals that the UN’s claims about poverty and hunger are misleading, and even intentionally inaccurate.
The Contradictions in Global Poverty Numbers - Analysis on the World Bank’s report.
World Hunger Again on the Rise - After steadily declining for over a decade, global hunger is on the rise again, affecting 815 million people in 2016, or 11 per cent of the global population, says a new edition of the annual United Nations report on world food security and nutrition released today. At the same time, multiple forms of malnutrition are threatening the health of millions worldwide.

I remember trying to reconcile this in middle school. I remember asking every adult I knew what the difference was and never getting a direct or non-hostile answer. The message I received: poor people’s lives are valued on a different scale because poverty is the modern world’s way of thinning of the herd - read: poor people are poor because they’re fundamentally less Human - read: those in poverty deserve to suffer.

Read this 👆🏾
Historically they have been just as involved in upholding white supremacy and racism as their male counterparts.
Theres an article about MODERN alt right women
Many of these women came into the alt-right initially as anti-feminists. “They were people who felt that the feminist progressive agenda was not serving them — in some cases they felt like it was actively disregarding them because they wanted more traditional things: home, family, etc.,” she says. “And they came into the movement through that channel and then ultimately adopted more pro-white and white nationalist views.”
