Imagine coming back from a three year long absence only to get slam-dunked by a post that had no reason hitting me so far

I just reada really good fic but halfway through I realized "oh shit this is really familiar.... didn't I write something like this once?" And as I kept reading I kept predicting what happened next and the further I went the more convinced I was that they'd ripped off my story-

like, copied the ENTIRE plot and re-written it, just better than I had? The characters were more fleshed-out than mine were, and the POV was more interesting, and the pace made more sense- but it was MY STORY?

So close to the end I was like "holy shit.. do I message them? Ask if my story inspired theirs? Should I be angry? Flattered?" Cause their tags and description didn't mention me AT ALL, which, sure, it's fanfiction to begin with, but if you're using my work than at least credit me as inspo, right? Just to be courteous?

But I get to the end of the final chapter, and it's not finished, and I'm kind of disappointed cause I never finished my story and I was really immersed in their version now and had been looking forwards to seeing how they tied up my loose ends- so I scroll to the bottom to leave a comment, and.

Vox Machina as cats:

Vex and Vax:

- Jet black longhair littermates.

-Vax knows how to open doors. And food containers. And treat bags. If it's tasty, he will find a way to get into it.

- Vex is the huntress queen. She's usually the reason there's a dead bug on the carpet. She also loves to "catch" a toy and then meow as she parades around with it in her mouth.

- They look for each other when they're not in the same room.

Percy:

- Brown striped tabby/white shorthair.

- Knocks things off of ledges when he's bored.

- If Vex wasn't the reason there's a dead bug on the carpet, it was him.

- Don't even try to clip his claws.

- Will watch you when you're on the computer and/or walk across the keyboard without a care in the world.

Keyleth:

- Orange striped tabby longhair.

- Catnip addict.

- Cat grass addict.

- Her spot is at the top of the cat tree, always.

- Chatters at birds in the window.

- Somewhat skittish.

- Tries to run so fast she skids across the floor.

Grog:

- Grey/black spotted tabby shorthair.

- Huge, as in "taller than the coffee table" huge.

- Puffs up at his reflection in the mirror.

- Easily the friendliest cat in the house.

- Also the one most likely to get himself into predicaments, like getting his head stuck in a box.

- Aggressive head-butter.

Scanlan:

- Brown and white Munchkin.

- If he fits, he sits.

- Very talkative.

- Also very loud. And demanding.

- Shoves his butt into peoples' faces when he wants attention.

Pike:

- Cream Munchkin.

- Grooming is her love language.

- Shares the bed/couch/wherever with you all day when you're sick.

- Probably loves catnip even more than Keyleth does.

I'm getting back into it after like a 4-5 year hiatus and there's so many things, I didn't even KNOW that there was a fandom on here! I wasn't super far into the series, either and I was gone long enough to not remember a whole lot.

Glad to see I'm not the only one haha

I’m sure many folks are already aware of this, but somehow, this was something I only recently discovered - so I’m sharing it here, just in case.  In Twilight Princess, Midna’s voice lines were actually recorded in English, then scrambled after the fact to be unintelligible - but in 2010, a YouTuber by the name of Inumarou went to the trouble of piecing together what a few of them (mostly) sounded like in their original English, which you can hear above.  (Link to the original video here.)  Basically, this is what Midna’s voice actually sounds like.

There are nine lines in total - three spoken when Link attempts to warp, three that are story-related, and three that “are just there for fun”:

Which one will it be? Have you made up your mind? I’ll take you there with my power!  What do you think happened to those who tried to rule with sacred magic?  I have a request… Would you find the mirror?  Don’t go running off!  I’ll be watching… I guess you AREN’T stupid!

There are an abundance of other voice clips in the game, but as of my typing this, these are the only ones that have been unscrambled.  I’d love to hear more one day - in particular what little she says while in her true form.
