Not mighty med posting but oh my god I think I just had the strangest experience ever because I just sat for a whole hour or so sobbing over Harley Keener (kid from iron man 3) for??? Some fucking reason????

HI actually info dumping about this bc i wanna.

So basically the OC I have works at the DOC-U (look at prev tags for overview) which was created in 1956, HOWEVER, there was a much smaller 4-man group that would handle the cleanup of hero events. (Originally referred to as the clean up crew, each with a different power than aided in the cover-up of these events)

Now my OC is about 14 or so years old, he has lived in the DOC-U main building since he was born and doesn’t know much else. He’s extremely cheerful and tends to infodump quite a bit about the origins of the DOC-U because he finds it extremely cool. He works with a normo girl as his partner agent (she was only hired due to the news of two normo doctors being hired by mighty med, which would be used as evidence to make a case for her employment.)

Now throughout their story, it’s believed that the original DOC-U was only 3 people, as the fourth member turned evil and stuff, so their existence was covered up. However, since the original 3 missed their old friend dearly, they cloned him and intended to raise him right and make sure this clone would stay on the good side. This clone is my OC, he’s unaware of the clone thing and that’s a big plot point in the story BUT. Because he’s a clone, and the original versions powers were not a genetic/dna thing, he’s basically a normo himself. Which also ties into why his partner agent was hired as the og 3 already knew normos were more than capable.

My OC and his partner agent do attend public highschool, the same one Kaz and Oliver do in mighty med. they’re friends with Gus, sometimes, and some other girl I made up named Caroline. My OC is sorta like Skylar in the way that he’s kind of unfamiliar the idea of highschool, so he comes off really strong to some people. He talks ALOT and really fast, and people get overwhelmed by it easily.

Yeah that’s about it so far.

ADDING TO THIS. I don’t like that they have Skylar her original powers back. I think they had like 7 different ways of getting around it that were 10x more creative. Alas I fear the EF writers did NOT watch mighty med so they used some charcoal bs

EXACTLY. I also just generally felt like it was a lazy way of doing it. Using the arcturion would’ve been a genuinely amazing way to give her powers again if it was really necessary. They could’ve brought back the key-keeper guy from that one s2 episode, it would also be kinda left field but nonetheless I feel like it would’ve been so much better than what they actually did 😭

To be fair, the powers they gave kaz and oliver are okay. I just think it would’ve been way better to give Oliver some kind of healing power so he’s

1. More connected to Horace as he’d kinda be Oliver’s dad now. Having similar powers to him would be meaningful

2. Thematically beating the shit out of his mother. After everything it’s to be expected that he would struggle with his esteem and even identity knowing that his mom was literally one of the worst villains ever and she said she was evil because of him. Giving him something that’s meant to heal as opposed to his mother’s destruction would be cool.

Alas this is a Disney sitcom and it’s not that deep however I believe it could’ve been

Me when i remember mighty med only has two seasons and the only semblance of a continuation made the worst plot choices for the MM characters. Also gave Oliver and Kaz some kinda buns superpowers 😕
