okay but genuinely i would’ve loved for us to see more of rosamund actually reacting and responding to the fact that her whole fucking kingdom is either asleep or dead. we already got such a beautiful, potent story about grief through ylfa, but i think seeing that same story told in a completely different way with rosamund would be so fucking awesome. because rosamund has some degree of separation that ylfa clearly doesn’t have with her grandmother; it’s been 100 years, and the one time it’s mentioned that her parents are either dead or asleep, she brushes past it almost immediately. ylfa’s entire story is about a little girl drowning in grief and pain and uncertainty, and seeing the sort of inverse of that with rosamund, a young woman who, despite everything, is moving forward and away, would be so fucking fascinating, especially with the dynamic they already have. someone smarter than me needs to write an essay on how rosamund’s first instinct (and only choice) is always just to continue forward
