link & finn / @hiddendarkrosesx
“an adventure? not sure how much of one you’ll find in the city.” link shrugs. admittedly, maybe they’re also in search of adventure, to which they settle for doing different tasks around town. “you could come ride horses though, if that’s something you like.”

brennan & xaden / @tragcdysewn
brennan knocks on the door, a tray of coffee balanced in his free hand. he’s taking the polite approach, instead of ambushing xaden on the way to work, as tempting as it is. he hadn’t exactly let his sisters known his plan, but surely they’d expect he’d have a talk. “coffee?” he raises the tray. “thought we could catch up. y'know, brother to brother.”

charlie takes a step back. he’d never seen this person before, but they appear to know his name. “um, sorry … i don’t think we’ve met.” his grip tightens slightly on his book bag. “do you know one of my classmates by chance?” maybe this was simply about a uni project.
@wndrstruck [Charlie + Tori]
"wait a moment...charlie? is that you?" victoria asked the younger spring, giving a soft smile. "no way. I've been looking for you everywhere!"

Clark decides to visit the museum on his lunch break. If you could call it that. He has a timed interview with a curator right after, so he thought it might be nice to observe some of the pieces before. His footsteps falter, blinking a few times. Did he get enough sleep last night? Cause he swears the paintings are walking off the canvas. His gaze whips to the person close by. “Ah, are you … doing that?”
closed starter for @wndrstruck (loki x clark)
Loki was bored today working at the museum. It wasn't very busy with all the kids having gone back to school, though some school trips were running around the space. His flicked his hand and some of the paintings in the section he was in came to life with his magic. Moving around and letting the scene unfold in front of him.

the edge of her lips quirk, just barely, in amusement at her friend. “you make it so easy to sneak up on. maybe we should work on that.” she takes another big drink of coffee, already knowing she'd need a re-fill. “aw, you'll get over it, dan.”thankfully, fury knows for a fact this diner has top-ups on black coffee. the waiter comes back around bringing a second cup and taking her order. “think it's a joint scam? i can look into it for you, if you want. are you still doing self-defense?” fury shoots danika a look. “better not hear about you on the news.”
"god dammit, fury--" danika jumped as fury slid in next to her, their eyes having been glued to their phone for far too long. "'you never know who could be waiting for an opportunity', or whatever phrasing.. but you are the only person i know actually trying to sneak up on people." they laughed, rolling their eyes as she snagged their coffee from her. "sometimes i wish i liked those desserts with a side of coffee just so you wouldn't steal it." she added. "i don't think it's better news, but it's definitely interesting." danika prefaced, before continuing. "met some woman in an alley who claimed i had a partner, and i think i met the guy they were talking about but he didn't say anything about it."

Kell wishes to help, despite their protest. However, he understands the need for independence and knowing one’s abilities and limitations. “Apologies, I did not mean to assume you needed help.” They rise back to their height, letting the stranger collect the item. “Is it… difficult? I don’t suppose you’ve always needed the cane?”
closed starter for @wndrstruck (Kell x Percy)
Percy was holding onto his cane still. He wasn't as strong as he wanted to be. He worried he would never be able to be fully without his cane ever again. "No, no I got it." He said as the other tried to pick up his wallet that Percy had dropped. "I need to work on being able to move more freely."

“sounds like maybe you dodged a bullet.” ithan shrugs. sometimes the compatibility just isn’t there, no matter how you want it to work. “bet he left his socks places,” he jokes, hoping to lighten the mood. “whether you want to get back out there or not, i can hype you up.”
MEME CLEANOUT!!
@wndrstruck asked: ♫ + 10 ithan and rikki
"he's funny, now all his jokes hit different. guess who he learned that from?" really rikki was sick of all these flings that she had been having that weren't working out. in the end they were all turning out to be terrible and well she had to just vent about it to someone. "at least i gave him a better sense of humor, it might make his personality somewhat bearable."

“lehabah?” his brows knit together in a moment of disbelief. he hadn’t expected to see the fire sprite again. not that he knows the rules of this town and how the magic works. “it is me.” he debates with how much to explain. “bryce is here too. a lot of us. it’s a long story... first, maybe we should get you somewhere safer than the street.”
lehabah & hunt athalar ( @wndrstruck )
"athie?" lehabah blinked a few times as she stared at the male in front of her. "please tell me that's you - I don't know what's going on in this place - the last thing I remember was micah coming into the archives, and attacking bryce,"

“you started it, quinlan!” he lets out a genuine laugh. a laugh that only bryce seems to spark. part of why he does in fact love her. a warm playfulness together and the ease of being able to let go of tension from decades of battle. he steps in closer, quick enough to wrap his arms around her, but not too fast for someone to notice his abilities. “i do love you.” he brushes a thumb across her cheek. “sorry it took me a while to get back to you.” hunt shifts them to the side, to avoid bryce getting hit by stray snowballs. one clips his wings but snow and feathers never really mix. “should we get warmed up?”
"of course i did. why are you shocked, athalar?" she grins, already hefting another snowball into her hands to throw in his direction. though before she can actually throw it, a snowball hits her square in the chest, and she stares at him in false awe for a moment. "i can't believe you threw a snowball at me, i thought you loved me!" she exclaims, putting a hand to the star on her chest as if she's going to collapse from the trauma.

“a friendly drink.” he tips his beer before taking a sip. “it’s good to see you. when you’re not running me though.” he cracks a small smile. “don’t worry. won’t make you grovel or anything. you weren’t fully aware.” hunt can’t say he wouldn’t have the done the same if he’d showed up with only partial memories of his time before. “danika will come around. have you talked much?”
"is this a friendly drink or a 'helping out a sad stranger' drink?" if hunt's himself, that'll make sense to him, and if not, it's merely nothing but drunken ramblings. it might not be friendly even if hunt was himself, considering how they'd ended things, but he was trying to assume the other would be able to forgive it in time. "define 'okay'. i'm alive."

gods … maybe this would be funny one day. but right now he can feel the makings of a headache. of course danika’s memories are gone. the group of them can’t seem to catch a break in this city. granted, there’s no asteri and world-ending ploy. “there’s no angle.” it’s all wasted breath. no point in trying to explain the truth to danika like this. she’d chalk him up to crazy. even with some photos, would it do them any good? “course. sorry about the mix-up. my wife has a friend with the same colorful hair. my mistake.”
okay, immediately danika was leaning back a little, caught off guard by him knowing her name.. had he just really memorized her id or something? weird way to start this whole thing. "you'd think finding my name in that pile of cards would be an indicator for it." danika raised an eyebrow at him, not knowing what he was on about, shaking her had at the question. "yeah, i have no idea who you are, dude, why would i? i haven't met anyone with those names, so.. i don't really know what your angle is here, but i'm just gonna cash out, actually."

Link nods at the owner, Juniper, he thinks she'd said. "It was a nice bath, thank you. I'll definitely recommend it to other people I know." His muscles feel more refreshed than they have in days. If he'd known about the spa maybe he'd visited sooner. "I will! I actually found the place by chance. A nice surprise."
@wndrstruck Juniper & Link
"I hope you enjoyed your bath. Feeling invigorated? Refreshed?" Juniper certainly hoped so. They'd used one of the tubs she was testing a new elixir in, one that was meant to restore stamina. "Be a good boy and leave a nice review on the website, will you?"

“you really don’t like fluff pieces do you?” clark can’t help his smile. there’s something endearing about lois and her journalist drive. he admires her constant work ethic for the hard-hitting truth. clark on the other hand, doesn’t mind the winter market and getting to talk with local vendors. he holds out a warm cup of coffee to lois. “got you some coffee. figured it’d be colder out here.”
lois & clark || @wndrstruck || mini event
" smallville, over here!" lois waved to her photographer and co-journalist for the project. she'd nearly screamed at their editor when he'd assigned them the winter market, before realizing how badly that could affect her career later on. trying not to slip on the snow, she moved towards him. "ready to get this over with?"

charlie spring and nick nelson / @hiddendarkrosesx
the dropped pen seems like a perfect excuse to go talk to the boy. nick nelson. he’d only learned it in passing from other people around campus. is it silly to believe someone like him would talk to someone like charlie? they don’t even share any classes together. before he can think the better of it, charlie approaches the library table. “hi.” one simple word that somehow has him wanting to smile.

“i do,” she replies, a hint of teasing in her tone. she would bite if it came down to it. she takes a seat at the table, fully prepared for this conversation to not go much further. usually, fury looks too unapproachable, or so her friends have said. “thanks.” she sips her coffee, pulling out a notepad. “fury,” she says after a long stretch of silence.
nesta archeron & fury axtar ( @wndrstruck )
"you can sit down if you'd like, I don't bite," nesta raised a brow at the other. she'd been in the cafe for a few hours now, planning lessons and different dance classes she was going to attend and it had slowly gotten busier as the afternoon had gone on. "you'll most likely not find a free table,"

“i guess i did.” he smiles with a light shrug. serendipity more like it. link hadn’t even known zelda would be in the city, let alone this specific market. “right, you probably don’t have my u.s. number.” he pulls out his cell, opening up a new contact. “i’d have picked you up, y’know.” link holds out the phone to zelda, entirely with good intentions. they glance at the table of jewelry again. he can’t help but think they’d compliment his old friend. “are you … busy right now? i’d love to catch up.”
zelda's eyes widened at the familiar face, hand landing down on the stand table a touch too hard as she moved away from the necklace they had been looking at. "link!" she tried to regain herself quickly, offering him a smile that mostly felt legitimate. she had wanted to see him, she was happy to see him, zelda just wished they'd actually got to plan how it happened a little bit more. "I- yes. i'm in the city for just a little while now." they said, hoping link wouldn't take that to mean the months it had actually been. "i was going to reach out and find you, but i guess you beat me to it."

link prefers to think of life as an adventure, no matter the mundane tasks. while many might find volunteering at a holiday market trivial, he enjoys getting to meet new faces. they’d put in enough morning hours to go explore around the market and happened upon the archery booth. “not sure, but this looks like fun.” although a more toy version of a bow, it rests familiar in his grip. it wouldn’t be that much of a game for him. years spent aiming arrows at targets pinned to haystacks back at the farm.
winter starter for @wndrstruck link
abby was surprisingly enjoying herself at the little popup market that was happening in dc. she's celebrated christmas before, but it was nothing like this. it was pretty low key in seattle..and mostly for the kids. the adults didn't really do much as there were still rounds to make and infected and scars to fight off. this place though, was a breath of fresh air compared to what she's used to. it seemed like there were a lot of cute (very) low stakes games in the carnival area. she decided to try out the archery one (though she was better with a crossbow). someone approached the booth at the same time, making them her opponent. "prepared to lose?" she taunted.
