Some things to remember this season when looking for that perfect gift.
The thought only counts if you put honest thought into it.
A perfect gift doesn't have to be expensive, a person's favorite sweets or baked goods just for them is very special.
A gift of a spa trip, meal at a restaurant plus 1 doesn't have to be shared with the gifter(it's not about you).
Instead of looking at the "must have" things influencers or Amazon try push at you, ask the recipient "what would you like?" "What are you into these days?" Or if it's someoyouwho lives in the same household watch them a little closer, see if you can figure out something they need or something that would make their day to day easier.
Gifts are NOT a competition if someone else gets a "better" l, more expensive, or more exiting gift for someone you care about, that's great! you should be happy they have other people who love them too, and it doesn't make your gift any less special because your gift is from you!
Some of my favorite gifts I've received have been worth very little dollar wise, but worth so much because the gift was so me, an example is one time my mum and I were out grocery shopping and were to meet back at the car, when she got back she had a little cactus for me(i love houseplants!) I absolutely treasure that little thing if I remember correctly it was about $1, but when I think of the best things I've been given that little cactus is always the first thing that comes to mind.
I just love seeing gifts I've given used year after year, or in the case of foods/experiences used up fast, sometimes the gifts that get talked about year after year are simple easy gifts, I often make homemade hot cocoa for one person and get great feedback on it even though I do other gifts that do get good use that cocoa is a highlight every season!

What's everyone's favorite version/adaptation/retelling of A Christmas Carol? It's one of my favorite Holliday stories, and I've seen several versions, but I'm always looking for a better version, at this point I think I've found my ultimate favorite/ rewatch during the holidays but I'd like to find a version that I can watch with people and not get side eyed.
So please comment or repost without ultimate favorite, and why it is!
