Hey, lovelies! My doctor recently recommended I start taking inositol and metformin to help combat potential PCOS and pre-diabetes. I’ve been doing my own research, but I thought I’d reach out and ask for some community wisdom. Have any of you worked with inositol before? If so, do you have a brand you trust and love?
I’m also exploring holistic ways to support my body alongside the supplements—especially for those of you on similar journeys with PCOS or managing pre-diabetic symptoms. Any tried-and-true remedies or rituals you’ve used to regulate your body’s rhythms or boost fertility would be so appreciated. Herbal blends, dietary adjustments—I’m open to it all!

Outlive the motherfucker. That's what you're going to do. Survive and thrive out of sheer spite if necessary. Live for the day that nature takes it's course and you wake up in a world that no longer has them in it.
Apply where applicable. Repeat as necessary.

Enchanting with touch -
A lot of witchcraft seems to be focused on visualisation as a means of imbuing things with magic, energy work seems almost entirely written to suit those who can visualise images. I am extremely tactile, I am a touchy feely person with busy hands so I decided to share how I “enchant” items.
Enchantment in my book means to take an object and make it magical, whether it be a charm, a ward, an agent of the spell itself.
Kissing things - your lips are far more sensitive than your fingers, they are also very close to your nose so you can incorporate smell into this, too. Take the item, and bring it too your lips gently, place a plush firm kiss whilst focusing on planting your into into the item.
Stroking or brushing - I have heard people try knot magic by braiding their hair, my hair is too short for this, but you could start by brushing your hair. Really smoothing it out, deeply brushing hair or even fur is a great way to transfer magic from your mind to the hands to the object, brushing is very therupeutic and could almost be a trance inducing activity. When I had hair I could sit on, it was a wonderful sensory experience to hand brush it after a wash.
You could also feel the surface of your item by smoothing it with you hands, really get to know the texture, let the magic explore the grain of the wood, the crevices in the stone or the cool touch of the metal.
Crumbling something - You could do this with breadcrumbs for kitchen magic or a bath bomb for bath magic (I wouldn’t crumble a bath bomb imo but I have heard some people prefer to do that.) Guide your intent to your hands and let it over whelm the object in your palms.
Stepping on something - This could be very destructive and great for curses.
Walking around it - Walking around an object features a lot in folk lore, perhaps you could use it to slowly build up intent and magical energy within you?
Throwing or juggling - Juggling is a great skill to learn and I can well and truly say kinetic energy is magical very powerful, throwing and catching something in the air until your satisfied is a fantastic way of enchantment, the weight as you catch it in your hand and watching it fly in the air is just fantastic.
Rubbing it to give it body heat - This is very physical, you can feel the warmth you’ve transferred to this object and its very responsive as well.

I believe in magic.
I believe in science.
One does not cancel out the other.
I can charge my tea with intention, using certain herbs to help with what ails me and take my antibiotics.
I can trust in my spells and get vaccinated.
I can balance energy work and seek therapy/psychiatric care
I can carry crystals and charms with me but they won’t set a broken bone or heal an infection
Magic is powerful, but modern medicine is essential. The two can be paired. The two should be paired.
Heal with both hands—one grounded in science, the other in spirit.

Gentle reminder to all my neurodivergent followers: medications and therapy do not make you less spiritual, less magical, or less witchy.
You are valid and your practices are valid. I'm proud of you.

When I got into witchcraft, I wish someone I'd spoken to or one of the authors I read would have said just once, "None of the items or incantations in spells are necessary or powerful on their own. These words only work if they resonate within you, and this whole process is a symbolic ritual meant to get your mind to focus on your intention and to feel that it's being done, because YOU are the operant power!"
I'd always wondered why I needed to say something like "So mote it be" to end a spell, which meant nothing to me; or what I was supposed to feel when I read someone else's incantation, which never quite resonated; or follow what I consider to be silly rules about snuffing out candles versus blowing them out. I even read in one of those books written by a well-respected Wiccan author that it was an "insult to the element of fire to blow it out." I laughed out loud and discarded the book. (Btw, stop blowing out candles on your birthdays, you disrespectful jerks! 😹)
I felt like all the complications of spells and rituals that I found were distractions for me rather than aides. I forget which book it was in, but in the beginning it described a woman picking a blade of grass, thinking about her intent, and releasing the blade of grass into the air - and that was her whole spell. I'll always remember that as the moment when it clicked that I am the Power and need nothing outside of myself to create the circumstances I want if I can properly utilize my imagination, will and emotions.
When I discovered manifestation, it only further confirmed what I'd come to realize, and all the remnants of feeling I needed rituals or tools vanished. Now my imagination is my only tool.
Everyone should use whatever method is most effective to manifest/perform magic (they're the same thing in my opinion), and as long as it gets you to a point where you're focused and feel that your will is done, it's a good method.
