I’m Leaving Tumblr Criticisms about The Platform

I’ve had awhile to reflect on leaving Tumblr and the community as a whole. Ever since I’ve stepped into the platform, and thereby the Witchcraft community, it’s been nothing but a toxic cesspool. Sure, there was some good parts of Tumblr, some useful spells, people who I could connect to and follow to get advise. But however, most of the bad things outweighed the good. Here are some of the reasons I’m choosing to leave Tumblr: 1. Racism against white/European people, regardless if mixed race or not.  

The amount of ‘wHiTE PEoPlE ArE EviL’ I get is astonishing. I get literally shit on by the community for being white, called ‘people of mayo’ ‘birdshit skinned’, etc etc. Many of these racists will claim it’s because my ancestors colonized the land and stole artifacts, but somehow miss the fact that I myself, a white person, do not support such practices, even in the modern day. Nearly all of these racists will skip over the fact that most white, European people simply wish to live their day to day lives, but instead get villianized for the sins of their past, in which they had no control over.  2. The Staff on Tumblr cannot do their jobs, and might be handed off to worse companies.  

To allowing porn bots and pedophiles to run around, unchecked, for years on Tumblr, before finally cracking down on the situation. When the people of Tumblr cried there was too many porn bots and pedophiles running around, Staff responded by banning all porn (even though most of it was nipples and trans) which caused the mass exodus. Still unhappy, now the company might be bought by a much stricter, and “buy-your-rights” company such as PornHub.  3. The Witchcraft and Witchblur community I have disagreements with.

From telling white people to completely shut up about certain issues to cultural appropriation, the Witchcraft, and by extension the Wicca/Wiccan community, does not align with my personal views. The only time I ever brought something good to the Witchblr community was when I made my callout post on The NightShade Network, which kickstarted my blog and got me some followers. I continued to warn people about certain Discord communities in an effort to warn others from legit toxic and unsafe communities.  I also have have disagreements with the Hoodoo and Voodoo communities, Satanism community (namely CoS, JoS, and 094), just to name a few. 4. In real life stuff. I now have three jobs and have to support my family. I don’t have to the time to be on social media like I used to when I was younger.  I’ve unfollowed all of the tags and unfollowed most of the people I used to follow. I’ll no longer post here aside from advertising new witchcraft communities. I’ll be also closing my anon asks and asks. I’ll be moving my operations to Wordpress.

Dream + Scrying

A white gleaming lab. Somehow I was in control of this, there was two people inside who I’ve never met. A red head and a boy with short brown hair. They moved, for reasons unknown through the lab, toward an unknown goal. Somehow I was in control of the walls and the situations they went through. When they got to the end, I told them the zombie virus had been unleashed on the world, and one of them would live in this lab while the other turned into a zombie. I didn’t know why I said that, but the next thing I knew, my vision cut to the brown haired boy shambling down the streets with the other zombies. Before I could even react to his choice, I was yanked by a familiar figure, a man in a brown trench coat. I was in a pitch black room and was suddenly hugged by the figure, when that happened, I felt peace and tranquilly, and fell asleep in the dreamworld. When I woke up, I did a scrying session first thing. I was back in that dark room, I was dancing with the figure. He was teaching me how to, guiding me, our shoes nudging together as he corrected my posture. That’s when I returned back to reality.

Would Heka reconsider?: Yes. Would Thoth reconsider?: No.

So, Wepwawet, Hathor, and Heka is left.  Wepwawet, I understand your a war God and a funerary God. I don’t often fight or partake in funerals, so I think I’ll have to pass on you.: Well, you’re impulsive, overbearing, and have unachievable expectations. 

Hathor, I understand you’re the Mother and you deal in romance and sex. Are you still ok working with me, even if I don’t want to be a mother?: No, you’re too lazy, you obsess over things, and you work without reward.

So, do you think I could be a mother? Do you want me to be a mother?: Yes, but it would require sacrifice. 

But, I really don’t want to have kids. So if being a mother is required to worship you, I think I’ll pass, sorry.: I understand you don’t want kids, you want a community and a home.

So you want me to be a mother, but you understand why I don’t want to be?: Yes. 

I’m still going to have to pass. Motherhood just isn’t for me.
