Something Weird is Happening at Work

Okay so I have a pretty normal job, as far as jobs go yeah? I work at a paint and sip, which is basically where you come in and take a class where you learn how to paint a painting. And usually the classes are public, but we also offer private classes for birthdays and stuff.

So anyways, I was scheduled to bartend/assist on Sunday (tonight) for a kids’ birthday, but they showed up yesterday instead. So obviously we got the date wrong, because the lady showed us an email from the manager with “Saturday the 22nd” as the date, which is wrong since the 22nd is Sunday, and normally this wouldn’t be a problem but we had full classes yesterday, and only an hour to fit them in, so we were all set to turn them away and say come back tomorrow, which is harsh, I know, but that’s just how things go sometimes. But one of my coworkers was just like “hell naw, this kid is gettin’ her birthday to-DAY” so she squeezed them into an hour long class. Now normally these classes cost 200+ dollars with a 100 dollar deposit, but we figured, since it was half the time and really rushed, we would just charge the deposit, to make up for it y'know? So they left without paying because the deposit is done beforehand.

Now, here’s where things get weird. We got a call this afternoon, asking to confirm the EXACT SAME CLASS, but for today. So, needless to say, we’re pretty freakin confused. So the manager starts making calls, verifying everything, and it turns out that one of these parties was a fake, but we’re not sure which one is the real one, so I get sent down to the studio and things start getting weird.

Okay so first, the two parties are in the exact same age group, all girls, painting the exact same painting, with the exact same number of guests. But the girls are different?? And the parents are different? And like we were joking that the mom from last night was going to come in in a wig or some shit, trying to get another free class, because this is just too confusing. But it’s a different mom and dad, and a different birthday girl with a different name and that’s why I’m now convinced that there are very clever little shape shifters currently eating cake in front of me.

Schlagobers' scarf is finally finished. It was knit on 1mm needles and I just love how it turned out! It has been a while since I did stranded colorwork. This scarf is the first finished item of his #treeofsavior inspired outfit- I am making him the male shepherd costume. I love this little fella! #realfee #bjd #knitting #microknitting #realfeepano

Yay another nano’er! I also survived day 1. Hope to win again this year :D I succeeded last year, but man was it tough!

First chapter is DONE!! Knocked out 775 words in my first word sprint too, so that’s exciting. I’m currently at over 2K words, and I’m planning on doing some more writing later tonight. My first day of my first NaNoWriMo is going pretty well I think!! :D

Realfee Pano finally got his boy body! I'm so happy that I found someone willing to trade, because he just wasn't right with his girl body. Anyway, he also just told me his name. Schlagobers, German for whipped cream. 😒 I hoped for something more fantasy-ish but damnit, these rascals can be very persistent sometimes! So Schlagobers it is.

Some people don’t see their YOSD’s as little kids. When the only dolls I had were my two Pukifees and my Littlefee, they were teenagers to me. So if you take that into consideration maybe YOSD lingerie isn’t all that weird!

There’s nothing worse than finding YOSD lingerie :/

How do I make my acquintances,parents friends etc get the point I'M NOT in love with somebody?

It is likely too late.  Announcing things with a capital NOT leads to suspicion.  (“There is NOT a prisoner in my basement,” for instance, is likely to summon the police.)  Wander around weeping bitterly, and perhaps others will believe that, while you were in love previously, it has ended dramatically and left you bitter but wiser.

Perhaps this person doesn’t even realise that she’s doing this. Have you told her that you feel your relationship isn’t balanced? If you don’t express your needs and boundaries, there’s no way for the other person to know she’s doing something you’re not comfortable with. Try talking to her and then decide. It’s a shame to lose your friends.

There’s this person I met on an FB group and at first they were really sweet, but time passed by and she’s gotten so unbearable to talk to. She will never listen to a word I say, and wants every conversation to be about her and her dolls. I don’t mind about being confident about yourself, being selfish is okay once in awhile, but when someone has something to say about themselves at least listen to what they have to say before you change the topic to fit your needs. I feel bad for even thinking that I need to stop being friends with her, but I think it’s better that I get out of this friendship if she’s giving me a hard time? I don’t know what to do. I’m just extremely upset at what happened between us, and I hope that there will be a little bit of a chance that she’ll start to realize how our conversations is making me uncomfortable.

This is the coolest BJD project I ever did! <3 I made in-scale coins! They're pictured here with a Minifee hand. Anyway, this is so cool! I made them from different types of (non-magnetic) metals and they look just like real coins. They're purposely made to look slightly uneven just like real medieval coins. Super super excited about how these turned out <3!!! //Edit: now with leather satchel!

I believe you can’t stay emotionally healthy if you’re unable to receive as well as give. And well, with her bright personality and beautiful soul Denali has certainly given a lot. That people care deeply enough about her and her story to give this gift is a beautiful thing that proves exactly that. Her acceptance is a gift in return - it shows that she acknowledges and respects these feelings. Her story has become bigger than herself. Isn’t that wonderful? P.S. Anon, have you watched this video? 

So you bought DenaliWind a doll and it was a nice gesture, very kind and all, but how she can accept it just like that without a single blink is beyond me. Someone did this to me once and it made me feel hella uncomfortable. In the end, I sent it back with a thank you for the lovely gesture, but this is WAY too much note.How anyone can be perfectly ok with taking money like that, for a non-emergency situation, from a bunch of relative strangers is just not something I understand at all.
