ARLO:

“So romantic, Win, I’m so in love.” Arlo grinned, pushing his hair back from his face and trying to make himself look more presentable the moment she picked up her camera. “Hey! You wouldn’t dare— you know I’m self conscious about these black holes. How do you want me?” 

“I know, I’m a modern-day Shakespeare. Everyone’s falling for me.” Winnie nodded affirmingly. “Your ‘black holes’ are wonderful and photograph beautifully.” She said, the click of her camera confirming she took the horribly angled photo. She jumped up before he could protest even more with a smirk and began directing him. “Okay, since you’re already kinda indie with your laptop and everything pretend to be doing shit on it, but keep your back straight. This assignment was about taking a photo about student life or whatever and this seems good enough.”

OWEN:

Owen listen to Winnie speak as he nodded”Yeah I do because I kinda own a company and need to get the work down so people don’t think I’m stupid as fuck.” The male smiles as he replied”Okay you can photograph me.”

“Dude, that’s way too much responsibility, I would have jumped off a cliff by now if I was you. Kudos.” Winnie angled the camera around her neck and aimed it at the boy. “Thank Bejesus, this is due in an hour. Gimme a second to figure this out.”

TYLER:

Tyler couldn’t help but laugh at the girl’s words, his eyebrows quirking up as she stated that she wanted to photograph him. “Wow, I’m honestly hurt, Win. I mean you want me to model for you, I get it. You don’t have to fake all the anger.”

“It’s anger in the college system and how it forces me to work not anger at you.” She looked up at him, sighing slightly. “You already know all your best angles, this should be fairly easy. Just hold a flower in between your teeth or something, that’d be funny.”

“ so you were together with me cause i’m ugly and i have an amazing personality? - sounds fake but okay, i’ll take it. “ he playfully hummed shaking his head at her sour expression. “ i’m not doubting that for a second you know. one could wonder why you’re only doing this now? i don’t like your accusatory tone. ” he says placing his hand over his heart, feigning a look of offence. “ i always listen. want me to loose the shirt or is that too much of a distraction? “ he laughs just messing with her.

“Yeah, totally, completely amazing.” She grumbled, knowing that at this point they were going to continue to go in circles. “Mhmmmm. Homework is such shit why wouldn’t I only be doing it now? It’s not like you get any more points for doing it early.” Winn began adjusting her camera’s settings, not even looking up to glance at Sam. “A stray dog listens better than you. And keep your damn shirt on, I don’t need you breaking the lens. Follow me.” She began walking towards some trees in the courtyard, silently praying to no one that this process ended fast.

VICKY:

‘ well, color me surprised ! ‘ she laughed with a roll of her eyes. ‘ no problem at all ! ‘ vicky said with a wink as she started to lift up her shirt but then put it back down. ‘ ok, i’m done goofing around. i promise. ‘

“Yes, hun, do it for the vine.” Winnie took a picture of Vicky barely lifting up her shirt and sighed when she brought it down. “You know, my creepy photography teacher would have probably really liked it if you did, that perv. Honestly, I just need something that looks candid and I’m homefree. We could go get coffee or something and I take a picture of you drinking? So indie.”

ARLO:

Unable to keep the facade up any longer, Arlo let out a laugh and wrapped a long arm around Winnie’s small frame when she sat down, pulling her in close to his side. “I knew it. I knew from the moment you invited me back to your place the night we met.” He grinned. “Alright– alright. As long as you make me look hot.” 

“Ah yes, Romeo Romeo where the fuck are you and all that.” She agreed, giving him a small smile. With his confirmation she twisted over and grabbed her camera. “Eh, I don’t know if that’s possible. Maybe I’ll just take a picture up your nose and send that in. I’ll call it, ‘I’m a Little Nosy.’ Genius.”

SAMUEL:

cracking a wide smile at her he shakes his head. “ yeah no i’m pretty sure they’re telling the truth and i recall you being quite fond of this handsome face as well, and now you’re just sour which by the way is not a good look on you, babe. “ he shrugged and carried on with his thoughts. “ look, i’m offering you help, it’s very rare, take it or leave it. “

“Sorry, I don’t recall that ever happening, you must be thinking of someone else, babe.” She imitated, cementing the sour look on her face even more. “You know, I would much rather photograph a dog eating its own shit but my deadline is in half an hour so you’re the next best option. If I give you directions will you listen?” She looked him straight in the eye as she asked.

VICKY:

vicky glanced up at the brunette who walked towards her and grinned. ‘ wow, this is breaking news ! ‘ she simpered, her voice dripping in sarcasm. ‘ photograph me ? wow, this could be my big break into the modeling industry. how should i pose ? ‘ she joked, a giggle escaping her pink lips.

“It’s making worldwide headlines!” Winnie sassed back before holding up the camera that hung from her neck. “Yeah, you’re the next Victoria Secret Angel. I need you down to your bras and panties.” She smirked at the girl and she jokingly got into position.

ARLO:

During a break between his classes, Arlo was sat outside on a bench staring at his laptop with a blank expression. God– he was tired. “Shocker.” He drawled, recognising the voice and groan instantly. He glanced up and smiled too sweetly at Winnie. “Why me? Ya fancy me or somethin’?” 

Her expression flattened as she deadpanned, “Oh yes, Ar, I’m madly in love with you and have just been too afraid to say anything until this very moment. Please fulfill my fantasies and let me take pictures of you.” She plopped herself next to him on the bench and leaned her head on his shoulder. “I just need something for my portfolio...” she whined.

SAMUEL:

noticing the familiar voice close by, sam turned around and walked up to the small group, leaning in right in front of the person winnie was talking to. “ i’ve always been told i’m quite model material. “ he nonchalantly says, waving the other irrelevant person away.

She turned around and crossed her arms, her attitude not improving with Samuel butting in. “By who? Girls who want to blow you? Newsflash Sammy boy: they’re lying.” Winn looked him over once more, wanting to bang her head against a wall for considering the situation.

Winnie trudged over to the other body, heavy steps thumping and an expression of pure pain. “So like, apparently you have to do actual work in classes and shit to not fail so —” She groaned and gave a huge sigh. “Let me photograph you.”

NATE:

❛  — GREASE IS NOT a classic. singin’ in the rain is a classic. there is no way john travolta could ever compete with gene kelly, okay ? he’s a legend of the silver screen and the only decent film travolta has ever put out is PULP FICTION, which by the way, is no where near as good as reservoir dogs.

“You know what’s also classic? Talking about movies people actually fucking care about.” Winn glared at Nate with knives in her eyes. “Like, everyone and their mother as seen Grease but people can only suffer through one movie with singing in it. Gene Kelly can go suck it.”

heyo friends the excitement is real let me just say that i barely got into this group and im so glad i did omg OH AND im ella, she/her, mst. below the cut is my newborn child winnie lets jump right in (ps. im coming for ya’ll for plots here’s ya warning)

winnie is a little firecracker. she doesn’t like to take shit from anyone and will 100% call you out if you’re being a dick. 

she came from an abusive and neglectful household where she tried to avoid whatever way she could. most of the time she was busy working during high school so honestly it wasn’t too hard

she worked multiple jobs while in high school to support her own interests and her siblings. she was the oldest of three: a younger sister who stayed with them at their parents, and a younger brother who lived with his friends

she’d provide for her siblings since they were so young and like hell her parents were going to do an adequate job 

drinking? hell yeah. smoking? hell yeah. drugs? hell yeah. 

she barely finished high school because 1. the only time she really had to sleep was during school. 2. she hated listening to people tell them what they should and shouldn’t know. 3. she got into so many fights.

when she got suspended or sent home, she’d just pick up extra shifts

now that her siblings are old enough she only had to work for herself and she sort of lost that ideal of responsibility because their siblings were worth it but herself? nah.

her idea of partying is drinking so much until you become unconscious 

really needs a hug but won’t say that out loud

she really knows how much of a shitty childhood she had and blames that for how crass she turned out but a part of her wishes they would have been born to literally anyone else and lived a happy life 

aesthetic: cigarette smoke lingering on a cotton sweater. purple bruises aching. unruly freckles splayed across sun-tanned skin. sunglasses perched atop dirty hair. band-aids worn for too long. rain lingering past its welcome. fire crackling in a dumpster. a pair of grimy shoes with holes in them. days-old waterproof mascara smudged across eyes. a wolf inching its way into a trap. wind blowing in every direction.
