A NEW CHARACTER DROPPED ON GENSHIN!!!

Or rather, I just dropped a new OC on the Genshin Fandom, because, YES I CAN AND I WILL.

I have been playing with Genshin quite extensively in the last few weeks, it's one of the few things that actually helped me keep my anxiety under control, with the beautiful soundtrack, the environment so colourful and so gorgeous, and the cute characters. It just spoke to me on a whole different level, so I truly felt compelled to create a character for the game, even if it's only for the fun of designing a new oc.

So, here you have, my feisty little spitfire, Eos of Mondstad, the Bringer of Dawn. She is a true force of nature, resilient, unafraid, cheeky as heck, even more flirtatious but a true sweetling at heart.

I cannot wait to finish drawing her twin sister too (am still finishing designing her).

I truly loved putting together her outfit, letting the fantasy just go wild, and choosing and her palette that would truly suit her name and her whole essence.

Genshin Impact- Dorothea Morgenstern

Good Morning everyone.

Couldn't really sleep last night, so I just decided to work some more on finishing my Cryo!Dorothea.

ngl, I am actually happy with the way she turned out! Her hairstyle in particular is heavily inspired by the one I gave her in one of my own AUs (one of my personal ones), because the whole vibe I was going for her was "Opulent Ice Queen". I love the fact that, normally, as per my own canon, Dorothea has a strong "Queenly Vibe" that comes from both her personality and demeanor, so, I am always happy to give her outfits and garments that suits that.

The whole theme for her outfit was ice/frost and roses and thorns and, of course, her omnipresent Morning Star and I actually enjoyed mixing up different fashion eras (such as Victorian and Renaissance, with an HEAVY flair of pure Fantasy -my jam-)

As per her story, within the context of Teyvat Lore, I have mentioned earlier that she is a denizen of the frosty land of Snezhnaya (and because it's a region that's yet to be shown to us, I decided to have fun and create my own decal for her Vision, trying to also kinda sorta reconnect it to the land Snezhnaya is based upon), and her family is primarily composed by her father, a Diplomat from Mondstadt and a member of the old aristocracy, and her mother, one of the richest merchant in Snezhnaya, along with her cousins, merchants in their own right. They may or may not have some sort of bond with the Harbingers and the Fatui, and they may or may not serve under the Tsaritsa. 👀

I gotta say, one of the thing that I had most fun with was actually trying to parallel and mirror Dorothea's whole family into their Teyvat's counterparts. It just all work itself so easily and smoothly, it truly brought me so much comfort.

hi everyone! been so long since I posted anything here lol

I am still very much on my self-imposed hiatus, still very much taking my sweet time to rest and overall recover from this freaking burnout (thanks to work and ADHD), but I just wanted to pop up on here and just share this small quick messy concept art I did for Mirana, my Genshin OC (another one lol).

She is Eos' adoptive sister, and if you remember, I already started to share a small wip a while ago. I am extremely happy that I managed to get the vibes I wanted for her. This is truly nothing more than a study I did to get the whole idea on digital paper, since thanks to a song I was listening while thinking about her, I felt all the pieces of the puzzle fell into place.

I am seriously excited about her whole lore and backstory, I shall indulge in it some more.

Yes, I am back working on my Genshin OCs and their canon loves and/or family and/or friends, and I am digging this A NORMAL AMOUNT (untrue, I am so in love with Genshin is not even funny). So here you have my Mirana braiding Diluc's hair.

Allow me to say this immediately: they are not a couple. Not even in the slightest. Like. No.

Mirana has known Diluc their whole lives, because their fathers were business partners and old friends, and these two are truly like bro and sis to one another (Seriously. Never mess with Mirana because Diluc will come after the ass of anyone that tries anything fancy with her *sideyes a certain Geodaddy*lol).

This is also true between Kaeya and Mirana, even more so than with Diluc, because Mirana, despite her gentle and calm demeanor, is always up for some mischief with Kaeya (especially since they are set to do all in their powers to hook up MIrana'ssister Eos with Diluc, since those two they are both so emotionally constipated and they are clearly so much into one another and yet in denial, it's not even funny)

So yeah. This is my latest wip and what I will be working on later on tonight, once I am back from dinner!

Good evening, good evening!!

I am finally done with the artworks I have had in store ever since the "thunder of ideas" struck me last week and I decided to keep Dorothea's design for Genshin.

And let me tell you.

I had so much fun.

SO MUCH FUN.

And because while I draw I also brainstorm, I decided to catch two birds with one stone, and draw Dora and Itto's son as well, little Hokuto, a literal flying ball of sunshine.

I know that Oni in Genshin do not fly, but I decided that little Hokuto is a special case, ( I couldn't let the chance to reference the first manga I ever read, Urusey Yatsura, pass me by like that. Rumiko Takahashi my beloved); so, because of this, little Hokuto flies around (much to his father's delight and his mother's worry) and generates MASSIVE electric discharges each time he gets excited or mad about something (thank goodness Itto has a Geo vision, since apparently, he is his son's favourite target).

Also, his name, Hokuto, is the way the Ursa Major is referred to in Japan (and a small connection to Dora's own status as Morning Star), but also, in Kanji, 歩來翔, the last Kanji means "Soar,fly". (If you know me by now, you know that I go deep with the details and layering lolol)

In the first picture, I gave Dora a striped Haori because I like to think that Itto gave it to her once while they were stuck together because they were caught off guard by a thunderstorm, and Dora kept it with the intention of having it washed and then returned to him, but Itto being the adorable himbo, refused to take it back and just gave it to her, so that she would remember "The One and Oni".

Needless to say, she kept it and, after having had Hokuto and Hotaru (I need to draw her too lol), she decided to use it to make a jinbei for both children.

(also, fml I finally got the chance to draw a Furisode and a Yukata,fml. It has been YEARS since I last drew Japanese traditional fashion <3).

I was too lazy and tired to draw the background though,so I took a screenshot of Inazuma and just used it and modifying with the proper lighting.

I truly had lots of fun doing these!!

And before I go to sleep, I decided I will share also Eos and Mirana's design when they were two wee babs.

I have to be honest, I wasn't truly planning to post this, because this is on those references that I usually do just for myself,so that I have a clear idea of the palette, the general vibe of the character and the details of the outfits, but I decided to make a small exception.

Tbh, I am glad I worked on this, because these references will be useful when I will be working on the whole "This is my idea" redraw project that I have in mind.

I mentioned in a previous post, a while back, that I had to rework Eos's design to better fit the new ideas that I thought about for her, and I have to be honest, I am quite happy with the direction I am taking for her! Mirana, instead,was pretty clear from the beginning, so her whole design will pretty much remain untouched. But I am particularly happy with how both my cinnamon rolls turned out.

One thing that I love is the dichotomy they represent: in fact they are Dusk (Mirana) and Dawn(Eos) and their colouring is inspired by the colours of the sky at dawn and sunset (also, along with Dorothea, I have completed my Sun-Moon-Star trifecta for Genshin as well! Call it a sort of "brand" that comes with all ocs that I create).

I swear, I can see these two ending up in SO many TROUBLES with baby Diluc and Baby Kaeya, with Diluc probably trying to be the voice of reason, and Eos trying to lend a hand.

Too bad Kaeya and Mira are busy causing havoc around the Von Rosenberg Manor of ar the Dawn Winery!!

Tonight I decided to upload something new! :)

I usually do not record any timelapse of the artworks I do, mainly because of the ENORMOUS amount of memory they occupy on my computer.

But for a couple of artworks I did, I decided that it might be fun to share a little "behind the scene" of my artwork of Mirana and Diluc (I shared a little WIP here a while ago.). I added a little music from Genshin as well, because, why not! :D

Am still playing tetris with all the stuff I need to rearrange in the apartment, so my mental spoons are limited. But, when I am not busy unpacking, I am trying to relax a little working on my own little Genshin Side project, when I am not too busy with my CoD project lolol

So I took the occasion of rework Dora and Theda's backstory and lore, as well as put down a quick design for Zahrah and Raniya, my other two Sumerian sisters <3

Now, I am only missing my Euphemia and Mirana from Mondstadt, and my Makoto and Fujiwara, and my entire set up is complete <3

NGL I am catching up on Genshin, and I am finally doing Nathan's Archon Quest...but the whole vibes I get from Natlan would be much more suitable for a Pokemon Game than Genshin itself.

I cannot truly explain why, could be the character design as well, but to me, it screams POKEMON.
