it was quite simply the most adorable performance i have seen in my life! you're so cute i just wanna pick ya up and put you in my pocket. maybe we'll be able to meet up on the trip to Australia! maybe snag a quick coffee or a drink out there? LA is a wonderful place, i have been thinking, myself, about getting a place out in LA as well. even if it's just a small one for when i want to visit friends out there and not have to stay in a hotel. not that i don't love a good hotel but i'd love something more homey. i hope i can find the time to jet over and come see you on stage! i know you're just going to be absolutely wonderful as usual, darling!

you too and oh, thank you ! i swear i felt myself so much in that performance like i did with my tour, which so ready to be back on the road soon. i'd have to see about coming for a visit then as i got a bit of time still before tour prep for the next leg. ooh, good luck with tour, babe ! i'll have to see a show one day — but i'm stuck with my own tour in march. currently i'm in LA with my friends, debating the idea of a second place here as it'd be a nice idea with friends here.

i feel like everyone these days is Cady Heron from Mean Girls at Prom. breaking their crowns to share with everyone. which i simply adore! i can't imagine not giving you my support, babes! yes! i knew you would be the queen who had all of the plans! we have to! i think an entire stadium would erupt if we came out together! color me heart aching to get out there with you just as much as yours is!

I am always out here to make you blush. Please, you are too much. We really could and I love that for us. Seriously, knowing that I have your support means so much and I am always going to have your back. Exactly, there is enough crowns for both of us. Funny you should mention that because I do have plans for us to take over the world. Ah, yes! We will make it happen. After seeing you at the Grammys, my heart is aching to perform with you.

oh my gosh that sounds like all of the video's i've seen with diving mothers and fathers because their little one is like a weeble, y'know those things that wobble but don't fall down? yeah, except babies do fall and falling is terrifying. not only in thought but also in practice. i absolutely love that name too! it's absolutely adorable and unique! madness is beauty! the only reason i even said any of that is because i can only imagine chasing after a little one and having a puppy trotting around under your footsies. absolutely! baby bare feet are the best kind of barefoot days! ooh definitely! warm living rooms with carefree dancing especially with the little one, it sounds fantastic! i get to have dances with my dog, hippie but that's about the closest thing i get to little ones haha. that actually sounds like a wonderful way to spend a laid back day. i can't deny the fact that i'd pick up every cute animal i see if i had the time to dedicate to taking care of them. with being on the road, on tour like i am i know that i can't be there to spend time with them. otherwise i'd have an entire zoo in my backyard. it is always fantastic to slow down and have a break after working hard like you have! you're an absolute super star! kicking back isn't totally in my forte but when my family and my manager are pretty much making me take the time to relax i like to go riding. i love my horses and they show me a beauty to life that without them i probably wouldn't have. horses are definitely living the best life that they possibly can.

Okay, maybe I was being a little dramatic, Lennox is only five months old, so the chasing is mostly me diving across the bed to stop her from rolling off like a tiny daredevil. But still, she keeps me on my toes. And yes, adding a puppy into the mix is probably me signing up for extra chaos, but hey, what’s life without a little madness? I love everything you said about barefoot days. It’s the kind of wisdom I didn’t know I needed, but now I’m fully on board. Lennox and I will be kicking off our socks and making it a tradition. Maybe not outside just yet because Scotland is...not exactly warm, but definitely some cozy, living-room, music-blasting, carefree dancing. As for what I do to unwind? Well, when I’m not debating my husband about the necessity of adopting every cute animal I see, I love curling up with a good book, baking something unnecessarily elaborate, or going full movie nerd and rewatching old Hollywood classics. Basically, anything that makes me slow down and just enjoy the moment. What about you? When you’re not on stage or writing your next hit, what’s your go-to way to kick back?

i am so grateful that you have chosen to be in my life! and i'm excited to see what this friendship is going to bring into both of our lives. from here on out i am practically at your beck and call, you need somethin' i'll be there. that is so fantastic, i am definitely excited to hear that! something that i always do when i'm sick is i practically worship a container of Vicks Vaporub. it is the only thing that i have ever found that has made me feel better when i'm not feeling well. this cowgirl is always on your fighting side! oh my gosh that is so great! there should be love stories written about those two!

Daw so honestly flattered and honored! You are really something and Im the lucky one to be in your life! well in me you got the most loyal friend one could have! Oh yeah well nothing time wont fix with me but Jason is doing alot better. See yup totally the person I want in my corner, a real cowgirl who can fight! figuratively. Oh they are in the same paddock now and they deeply love each other. So look forward to it!

My Spotify Wrapped exposed me for… Being a Hilary Duff fanboy. I may sing more like Paulo from The Lizzie McGuire Movie, but let’s be real — her songs slap. I did have a little “Runnnn” moment like in the film though. That cartoon was hilarious.

The last thing I hyper-fixated on was… (and I regret nothing). Convincing myself I needed a new hobby, buying all the supplies, and immediately forgetting about it. Goodbye pottery.

If I could guest star in any TV show, it would be… Alone. Is that a guest role? Not really, but I know I'd do better than my brothers.

What's on my mind 24/7? Dogs, food, surfing, and I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was… I'm 35 and single for a reason.

oh girl, trust me it is and has always been my dream to just sit in my home and have almost not a care in the world besides what i'm going to wear on stage for my next show. chasing after a tiny human might just top my dream life by like a million and one, though. that is so cute. i've heard the stories about moms not being able to keep coffee hot while having the little goobers around. oh my gosh, you want to have a pet to add to the chasing around of a little one? i applaud your commitment to cardio haha. definitely! if you can involve the little one in the barefoot days that'll make it even better. i feel like it's only right to teach 'em young that kickin' off your boots every now and again isn't just for when your feet hurt. it's when you need a good time to just be you. there has always been something about dancin' barefoot around your house that awakens something in my soul. i think a lot more people should do it. you have no idea just how much that means to me. we know what i do to relax. but before you decided to try my barefoot blessin' out what do you do to just kick back when you need a break. what takes your mind off of the stress of life?

Listen, if you don’t think planning killer outfits, feeding your dog, and writing music isn’t the dream life, then I don’t know what is. I love what you said about everyone having their own version of normal. It’s so true. Mine just happens to involve chasing after a tiny human, trying to keep my coffee hot for longer than five minutes, and convincing my husband that yes, in fact, we do need a pet. Oh, and now? Apparently, scheduling in some barefoot days because if Lainey Wilson says it’s a religious experience, then I’m treating it like gospel. You just keep doing you, because trust me, the world needs more of it.

i wish i was that person who cared about what people thought when i walked outside, pretty sure my PR manager wishes that as well, but i've never been one to give a rats ass if my hair looks like a rats nest and people saw it haha. i feel like that's why a lot of people do enjoy me the way they do. 'cause i really don't care what i look like when i step outside. i mean, granted, i prefer not to have my bed-head plastered as my next album cover but i still think there is something to being genuine. the fans really enjoy when they can relate to you. the more normal you seem the more likely the fans are to enjoy you. it only helps a fuck ton when you are naturally a hot mess haha. i definitely think that all it takes is one time of feeling the lights on you, to almost make it like an addiction. i used to dress up like Hannah Montana to make some extra cash when i was younger and it was so worth it to show that little girl that it all paid off. keepin' it real is the best way to do it. if i am known for nothin' else at the end of my life i hope that it is for keepin' it real. you don't do half bad yourself. you seem like you're a genuine soul who hasn't let the 'name in lights and millions of fans' give you a big head or anything. i know all of this can get a bit overwhelming and though you might be younger than me, i'm sure you've been in the full spotlight longer than i have. got any tips to keep the terror that you might screw up away?

i love that! honestly, who can relate more than the person who’s walked that same path? we all have those “cousin it” mornings—bedhead and coffee, and no one’s seeing us until we’ve had a chance to fix that mess. and falling asleep on the couch watching something dumb? i feel that too. no shame! it’s real life. you’re right, though—the whole thing about dreams feeling so out of reach until they aren’t is exactly what makes the journey so powerful. it’s that build-up, that anticipation, that makes it all feel even more incredible when it actually happens. i remember that feeling at my first concert too—feeling like maybe it could be me someday, but unsure how or when. i get it! that’s the beauty of growing up and learning what makes us feel alive, right? you’re definitely shaping the future in ways you might not even realize, especially with how real you keep it. the kids who look up to you are lucky, because you show them that it’s okay to dream big, work for it, and stay true to themselves along the way.

I will so gladly take that title! I felt that way totally from the beginning but didnt want to be too clingy. Sorry this is me getting back to you late but things have been crazy on the farm and both Jason and I have been sick. haha I love that image and more importantly I can so see you doing that when you are older! Pwshh you give back already in so many ways, but also I can attest to the fact they would probably love to see it! Oh we got him last weekend he's a draft horse, our irish pony is making him his best friend at this point but we will see when we let them in the same paddock for sure this weekend! i agree. just being and being happy is all i think any of us could ask for. we are just as normal as anyone else on earth, we're only human. but people seem to think that we are super human or something. but i think being alone with my thoughts sometimes really brings me back down to earth. it's why i really enjoy riding horses i my down time when i'm not working on new music or touring i try to spend my time behind the reigns. it really clears my mind. do you have anything that you do in your down time to shake the thought that you feel like you might not belong where you are? i'm sure everyone has a trick, they have to. like mine being horses.

It is strange, being in a never-ending comparison of yourself with someone perceived by others, when all you wanted was to simply be. I supoose getting to that point where it doesn't feel odd anymore is in your cards. It goes on fading into the nothing behind your back until one day you wake up and realize that you are not doubting that anymore. You see, you don't even have to try to be impressive because you already are. Just by being yourself. I really hope you learn how to keep those thoughts away from your mind, even if it's a long way, I'm sure you will.
