New : Buckingham Palace announced the birth of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's second daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi.

The statement reads : “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, born on Wednesday, 22nd January, at 12:57pm.

The baby was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces.

The King and Queen, and other members of The Royal Family have all been informed and are delighted with the news.

Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.

Her Royal Highness and her daughter are healthy and doing well, and the family are enjoying spending time together with Athena’s older siblings, Wolfie and Sienna”

Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has already a son Christopher Woolf Mapelli Mozzi from a previous union, and has another daughter with Princess Beatrice, Sienna Mapelli Mozzi -January 29th 2025.

New : In his Christmas speech on Christmas Eve, Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg announced that he will abdicate on October 3rd 2025 and hand over the throne to his eldest son, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg.

Grand Duke Henri is Luxembourg's Head of State for nearly 25 years as his reign started on October 7th 2000.

The Hereditary Grand Ducal couple, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie will become Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Luxembourg and their eldest, Prince Charles of Luxembourg, will take the title of Hereditary Grand Duke of Luxembourg -December 24th 2024.

So… I got a notification from the State Department at like 8 PM Pacific that my passport was approved, and I was quietly thankful and stunned bc my legal gender in Oregon is listed as X, or undeclared, and that's what's on my passport. I'm pretty sure someone(s) worked late to get the X passports done today.

I was already really grateful to whoever in the Seattle Passport Office worked late to get these things processed on the last Friday before That Man gets back into office... and then I got a notification that my passport shipped at fucking midnight Pacific and whoever got that shit out the door so it couldn't be picked up on Monday and like, denied and shredded?

They're my fucking hero.

What do you think about the settlement? I'm glad Harry got an apology for himself and Diana, but I think the push from Murdock to settle, demonstrated that he had a real case and getting access to messages between Murdock's news groups and the royal family communication houses would've been interesting for the public, and Harry to see, no?

All Harry wanted was an admission of guilt and an apology. That's what he wanted when he won his last suit, and that's what Meghan wanted when she won her suit against the Mail. Neither of them got it. They only got the financial settlement, which wasn't their main priority. So I think they realized that if they could get exactly what he wanted without the risk of losing the case, it was better to take the settlement. Don't forget that Harry wasn't suing Murdoch for a financial settlement. He just wanted an admission of guilt, and he got it. Now that they publicly admitted their guilt, the case can be passed on to the police where they can open a criminal investigation. This isn't over yet. This wasn't just a huge win for Harry, it is also a huge win for everyone involved in the phone hacking, including William and Kate, who will no doubt want to see the people responsible persecuted.

Lord, I've seen so many derangers coping spectacularly today. Let's get one thing straight, Harry did not settle. NGN settled. For EIGHT figures plus a public apology. The financial settlement is one thing, but a public apology and admission of wrongdoing? That's unprecedented. Plus, despite what the Derangers have convinced themselves, NGN is also covering legal fees (to the tune of £7M?) in addition to the settlement sum. The case going to trial and Harry winning would have resulted in a similar outcome, only now, instead of a court finding NGN guilty of wrongdoing, they admitted it themselves. I can only imagine that NGN preferred to get to the point rather than go through a trial because of how bad things would end for them if all of their misdeeds were made public. Make no mistake, accepting this settlement was a total, unequivocal win for Harry.
