This YouTube comment had me leaning hands braced on knees like that person who had to take their shirt off to process Destiel becoming canon.

Just an FYI. The FDA is not allowed to announce any food recalls due to the health communications pause the current administration enacted. You can still find this information by visiting USDA the site directly.
https://www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls
Heres the fda link to use to search for recalls, safety alerts, and market withdrawals.
https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts
So, while you are making your grocery list, you may want to visit the recalls list since there’s no public communication right now.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2025/01/27/white-house-pauses-federal-grants/
So, the facts are, most universities in the US are kept in business by grants. Professors and researchers apply for grants, grants pay their salaries, their equipment, their space, their travel, and their students. This includes Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants, Project Assistants etc. this is true across pretty much all academic disciplines. Often what this means is, the professor does their thing, their TA teaches the bulk of classes, students get taught, all while the university makes a profit.
If you kill grants, you kill all of this. This will give universities the excuse to cut tenured faculty, because the university can't afford them directly. This will cut grad students, because this is the only way grad students are paid for. With no grad students, many classes will suddenly not have teachers. Classes will be cut, teachers fired, and the universities will likely have to increase tuition to make up the difference. Knowing universities, they will not cut the number of incoming students coming in (that's their money!) so now classrooms will be packed to the gills with professors that are both underworked and underpaid.
This is just one segment of the people being impacted by this week of horseshit, but believe me, colleges will be permanently altered.
But isn't this just temporary, you ask? Possibly. Much of this is likely to be permanent, definitely in my field. This is coming from the executive order that includes
So anything that can be argued as "woke", "Marxist equity, transgenderism, and green new deal social engineering policies" will not be funded. You can tell those words are squishy to the point of meaningless, but that's the point. Anything can be squished into those categories. Certainly my ecology work is toast.
Anyway if you see a scientist or an academic or a doctor or what have you, please be kind to us. This is... unprecedentedly bad

Homestuck Theory
Okay so in Homestuck, Hussie often depicts himself wearing this green shirt
This shirt is actually a real piece of MSPA merch for Problem Sleuth
However, as you can see, the real shirt’s design is much more complex than the one worn by in-comic Hussie.
So my theory, what if every shirt in Homestuck is actually a simplified stand-in for a more complex design?
What if we’ve been doing Homestuck cosplay all wrong?

Honestly as someone who reads tarot, has tarot, and is also WKM themed but *well done at that in using visuals to read cards*—
Honestly, this is good. Make sure to if you do keep going, look into symbolism of how the cards also *thematically* work with eachother, the suits of cards, clear down to Major and Minor Arcana.
As they say, the reader of the cards with a good made deck; whether the card is upright, or reversed, should be able to discern the general message and meaning of the card, based on the detail/nuances therein to the meaning itself; making the rest of the deck along with it easier to decipher during readings.
The minimalist design on these, is perhaps best for that dramatic traumatizing "story" we all know and adore.
Because [not that OP doesnt know], every Major Arcana, is also a part of the Fool [0]'s journey through the Major Arcana, life cycles and lessons abounding.
Good luck on your makings, you did really nicely imo OP-!
(I need coffee and it is early.)

Did somebody say WKM Tarot? No? Well, I did now! It was very fun to sneak all the little references in :) I found the cards to fit very well.
As a Tarot enthusiast, I needed to put them into this little cross over. I hope the idea is new enough, I haven’t dug into deeply the fanart yet!!

hey. You should love trans women more than you hate terfs. You should love trans men more than you hate radfems. You should love nonbinary people more than you hate conservatives. You should love intersex people more than you hate bio-essentialists.
That’s all

in the coming days in the united states, countless people are going to get food poisoning. some of that is from eating recalled or contaminated food, some of that is going to be from leftovers being left out too long, and some of that is going to be from people who do not normally cook and might not know food safety very well cooking for a group.
if you get food poisoning, I want you to know this:
gatorade is usually baby shit in terms of electrolytes.
look at nutrition labels for electrolytes. you want something with high sodium, and ideally other electrolytes like magnesium and potassium.
there are so many electrolyte brands out there beyond gatorade that only have a drop of salt, and it is absolutely fucking pathetic. a lot of what people associate with gatorade and many other popular electrolyte brands is basically sugar water with food coloring. things like v8, vegetable juice, and broth can often do a better job than many well-known electrolyte products at keeping someone hydrated. gatorade does have some saltier products, but make sure you read the label.
when it comes to rehydration: salt and water. salt and water. lot of salt, lot of water. and you also want other electrolytes like magnesium and potassium in there when possible. dehydration from diarrhea or vomiting can be deadly. electrolyte imbalances can be deadly. right now there is a shortage of IV fluids across the united states due to hurricane helene hitting major IV fluid manufacturers. the IV fluids given to dehydrated patients are largely salt water. the shortage will improve with time, but you do not want to be in a united states emergency room for dehydration right now. CHUG
this is not an advertisement, but the main electrolytes I (rune) personally use right now are LMNT, liquidIV, and saltstick vitassium capsules. there are plenty of electrolyte brands out there, whether it is a dry powder or pre-mixed, just make sure you know what to look for on the nutrition label.
so many of what are advertised as electrolyte drinks or sport drinks are mostly sweeteners, dye, and water. there are so many disgusting, misleading, and inadequate electrolyte drinks out there. they can be better than nothing, but try to get something salty if you are trying to stay out of the ER. salty foods can also help, which is part of why chicken noodle soup is often so recommended.
know what you are putting in your body. read the nutrition label and stay hydrated!
