Honestly as someone who reads tarot, has tarot, and is also WKM themed but *well done at that in using visuals to read cards*—
Honestly, this is good. Make sure to if you do keep going, look into symbolism of how the cards also *thematically* work with eachother, the suits of cards, clear down to Major and Minor Arcana.
As they say, the reader of the cards with a good made deck; whether the card is upright, or reversed, should be able to discern the general message and meaning of the card, based on the detail/nuances therein to the meaning itself; making the rest of the deck along with it easier to decipher during readings.
The minimalist design on these, is perhaps best for that dramatic traumatizing "story" we all know and adore.
Because [not that OP doesnt know], every Major Arcana, is also a part of the Fool [0]'s journey through the Major Arcana, life cycles and lessons abounding.
Good luck on your makings, you did really nicely imo OP-!
(I need coffee and it is early.)

Did somebody say WKM Tarot? No? Well, I did now! It was very fun to sneak all the little references in :) I found the cards to fit very well.
As a Tarot enthusiast, I needed to put them into this little cross over. I hope the idea is new enough, I haven’t dug into deeply the fanart yet!!

I've wanted to write about this, in case some of you wonder what kind of witch I am/ is a Solitary Nature Witch? I found this Finnish blog text about nature witches/ witchcraft and I'll translate here the parts of it that fits into my own thoughts of what sort of witch I am. First here's a definition of a solitary practioner/ witch from Wikipedia:
"A solitary witch is one who chooses to practice their spiritual faith in the privacy of their home or other designated space, without the need to participate in a group such as that of a Wiccan coven; although it's not uncommon for solitaries to participate in some communal activities (e.g. Sabbats). Many solitary practitioners are Neo-pagans, who adhere to a diverse group of pagan religions that include various forms of Wicca, Traditional Reconstructionism and Traditional British Witchcraft, among others. About half of all pagans are self-ascribed solitary practitioners."
Now according to the blog text:
"In traditional nature witchcraft, the practitioner has a deep connection with nature and the cycle of nature is a very important part of nature witchcraft. Nature witches follow their environment very closely, observe weather phenomena, follow wild animals and get a lot of different information about the state of nature. Nature witches follow the phases of the moon, according to old folk beliefs, you should do different things in different phases of the moon."
"Nature witches spend a lot of time in nature meditating, hiking or wandering. On the other hand, if the nature witch does not get to nature often enough, she has a great longing for it inside her, which can make her feel almost sick. That's why many nature lovers have a piece of nature in their home, stones collected from travels, green plants, cut flowers... Anything that brings a piece of nature into the apartment."
Now, I don't meditate myself, but otherwise everything matches me so far. I love to walk in the forest and take photographs or just breath in the fresh forest air and admire the trees etc. but I don't get to go out in the real forest too often, so I've almost created one inside of our house. I have an actual tree inside and many many branches, dried flowers, pine cones, rocks etc. 😄 I don't have a green thumb, but I yearn to live amongst green plants so I've got some artificial houseplants around the house.
"Often the nature witch sees divinity all around her, in rocks, plants, people, animals. Divinity is divided into masculine and feminine energy, i.e. Mother Earth and Father God. Some nature witches honor multiple gods and goddesses. Nature witches also respect other life forms. Nature spirits, fairies and elves are part of our surrounding world, and do necessary work with nature."
I like to think that there's magick all around and inside of us. Everything is magick. I don't really believe in any Gods, but I like to think that there is Mother Earth who gives life to us all, the planet Earth. Then of course there are the Sun and the Moon. I want to honor them both, because they have so enormous affect on us and everything on this planet. About nature spirits, fairies and elfs... I've always said that I'd rather believe in Santa Claus, elfs and fairies than in God. I like to think that there are nature spirits etc. around us. I don't deny the existence of God(s) either. I think I believe when I see or experience them personally. Meanwhile I continue believing that there's magick everywhere. 😊
"Nature witches celebrate the cycle of nature on Sabbaths."
You may already know that I love to decorate an altar for the 8 sabbats that are: Yule, Imbolc, Ostara, Beltane, Litha, Lughnasadh (Lammas), Mabon and Samhain. Although, I rarely build my altar on Ostara and Beltane. I don't know why... well, Beltane is after Walpurgis Night and my energy usually goes into that. Ostara feels a bit boring to me I guess. All I can think of is an egg. 😂 But I think that I'll decorate my altar if I feel like it. It must be fun afterall, not forced.
"When the nature witches return from work or school, take care of their housework and exchange their day's happenings between family and friends, their free time begins. So what do witches do in their free time?"
There is a list in that blog text, but instead of writing that here, I'll just tell you what I do myself. I'm often on social media watching art, photography or reels, I photograph outside/ inside the house and edit & post my photographs, I read books, create art, watch series or films, observe animals & seasonal change in our garden, write messages (letters) to my friends... just normal things that anyone can do. I am an introvert so I spend most of my time alone, yet I live with my mother so I'm hardly never alone. 😄
Now you might wonder, since I call myself a witch, do I practice magick? To that I'll just answer like the people in my region in Savo (Finland) usually do: "it might be or it might not be". It's my business. 💜
If you want to read the blog text yourself (in Finnish), here's the link to it:
Luonnonnoituus
If you have any questions about what I just write here or acording my art etc. feel free to ask. I'll try to answer, if and when the question is decent and not too personal. 😊

'Brooklyn Knight' Book Review By Ron Fortier

'Brooklyn Knight' Book Review By Ron Fortier
BROOKLYN KNIGHT By C.J. Henderson Tor Books 2010 335 pgs
Writer C.J. Henderson (December 26, 1951 – July 4, 2014) was an American writer of horror, hardboiled crime fiction, and comic books. His comics work includes books for Marvel Comics and Valiant Comics. His best-known work in the hardboiled genre was the Jack Hagee detective series and his supernatural detective Teddy London series, as well as many other short stories and novels featuring many characters from Lovecraftian fiction and Kolchak: The Night Stalker, as well as his own.
He was also a friend. Thus, after all these years, we picked up his two Piers Knight books of which “Brooklyn Knight” was the first. It is a terrific pulp adventure filled with many of the tropes Henderson frequented in his fiction. Knight is the curator of a museum in Brooklyn as the tale begins and in classic form, he is getting acquainted with his new assistant, a lovely redhead from Montana named Brigit Elkins. It reminded me of I.V. Frost’s first meeting with the sexy Jean Moray. Bridget is awed by the grandeur of New York as Knight gives her a whirlwind tour starting from the observation lounge of the Empire State Building. She little realizes she’s about to join him in a fantastic adventure that will determine the fate of all mankind.
An ancient evil entity desires to enter our world/dimension, but to do so it must find an ancient artifact known as the Dream Stone; which of course is located in the museum. When a group of mercenaries attempt to steal the stone, they are thwarted by Knight who just happens to be an occult magician possessing his own unique and powerful talent. In the battle, Knight comes face to face with his opponent; another practioner bent upon achieving the Elder God’s wishes.
The action is fierce and fast-paced while at the same time, Henderson’s characterization of both Knight and Bridget is somehow tender. There is sensitivity to these characters we’d not seen in his earlier works and found it totally endearing. Having only completed two Piers Knight books before his passing, we will be very eager to read and review the second; hopefully before the end of the year. Meanwhile, if you’re an old C.J. Henderson and have yet to meet Piers Knight, get with it.

Introduction: Fake Witch
Just a disclaimer; I am not a proper practioning witch, nor solitary, just a full blown athiest who has respect for the craft but to clarifiy. I am fascinated and like to document all the information I've found into one place. I'll post links/site my sources/books and anything of use and will make sure to post things that are as accurate as I can manage.
But overall this is research purposes. Whenever I write stories or fiction I find movies like; "The Craft," "Practical Magic." "Charmed," "Witches of Eastwick," and even "Sabrina the teenage witch." Even tho personally thats not my favourite I can still tell hints of Wiccan story line interwoven in the new series. I can't help but be drawn to these films and find that doing proper research adds a certain magic to these stories.
So is this just me compiling research just for magical world buidling in fiction? Yes. Yes it is. So if thats off-putting fair warning now.
Honestly whenever I touch it with a ten-foot pole [Theory work is one thing] But in practical bad stuff just happens, as if something is telling me that Wicca is not for me. Just cases of bad luck and bad vibes all around. Meanwhile others who do Witchcraft at home things just work out well for them, their plants grow, spells work, and things look up.
Meanwhile little things happen and come in threes then turn into twentys and I'm just riding out a bad month of bad luck. Don't know why that happens -_-
Also The images I'm posting here are placeholders until I get my tablet and create my own illustrations :D So bear with me for the time being and with that note, "Blessed be."

This December, FOX takes TV's #1 show and adds a little twist. Based on the smash hit FOX series THE MASKED SINGER and inspired by a popular segment featured on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," all-new celebrity competition series THE MASKED DANCER will have a special premiere Sunday, Dec. 27 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/5:00-6:00 PM PT, Live to all Time Zones), before having its time period premiere Wednesday, Jan. 6 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). Hosted by comedian/actor Craig Robinson ("Ghosted," "The Office") and featuring celebrity panelists Ken Jeong (THE MASKED SINGER, I CAN SEE YOUR VOICE), world-famous choreographer and singer Paula Abdul, actor and the former "Giraffe" Mask on THE MASKED SINGER Brian Austin Green and actress and singer Ashley Tisdale, THE MASKED DANCER will feature celebrity contestants shaking their tail feathers, while covered from head-to-toe in elaborate costumes and face masks, leaving audiences to guess their identities. Costumed celebrities will be joined on stage by masked partners and back-up dancers, as they perform a series of dances together; spanning from hip-hop to salsa, jazz to tap dancing and more. When it comes to dance styles, the sky is the limit. Each week, a series of clues will be sprinkled throughout packages, costumes and routines, leading the panelists one step closer to figuring out which famous faces are freestyling behind the masks. THE MASKED DANCER is produced by FOX Alternative Entertainment and Warner Bros. Unscripted & Alternative Television and is based on the South Korean format, THE MASKED SINGER, created by Mun Hwa Broadcasting Corp and distributed by MBC America. James Breen, Craig Plestis, Daniel Martin and Ellen DeGeneres are executive producers of the series. Breen will serve as showrunner.
New comedy CALL ME KAT, starring Emmy Award nominee Mayim Bialik ("The Big Bang Theory"), and executive-produced by Bialik, Emmy Award-nominated producer Jim Parsons ("The Big Bang Theory," "The Boys in the Band") and Darlene Hunt ("The Big C"), will have a special series premiere Sunday, Jan. 3 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), following the NFL ON FOX doubleheader. The series then makes its time period premiere Thursday, Jan. 7 (9:00-9:30 PM ET/PT). Based on the BBC UK original series "Miranda," CALL ME KAT stars Bialik as a woman who struggles every day against society and her mother to prove that she can still live a happy and fulfilling life despite still being single at 39. Which is why she recently spent her entire savings to open a cat café in Louisville, Kentucky. It was expected of KAT (Bialik) to be married with kids by now, but for many reasons, she's still single - and totally fine with it. Of course, Kat's mother, SHEILA (Emmy Award winner and Golden Globe nominee Swoosie Kurtz, "Mike & Molly," "Sisters"), views her daughter's single-hood as her own personal failure, but Kat remains determined to live a fulfilling life, and charts her own course to happiness. Working alongside Kat at the café are RANDI (Kyla Pratt, "One on One"), a confident millennial and self-proclaimed "non" cat person; and PHIL (Emmy Award winner Leslie Jordan, "The Cool Kids," "Will & Grace"), who recently broke up with his longtime partner. Although Kat celebrates her independence, her single-forever plans may begin to veer off-course, when her former crush and good friend, MAX (Cheyenne Jackson, "American Horror Story," "30 Rock"), returns to town and takes a job as a bartender at the piano bar across the street, working with his friend, CARTER (Julian Gant, "Good Girls"). CALL ME KAT is produced by That's Wonderful Productions!, Sad Clown Productions and BBC Studios' Los Angeles production arm in association with Warner Bros. Television and FOX Entertainment. Darlene Hunt is the executive producer and showrunner. Additionally, Jim Parsons, Todd Spiewak (That's Wonderful Productions!), Mayim Bialik (Sad Clown Productions), Miranda Hart, Angie Stephenson (BBC Studios) and Beth McCarthy-Miller also serve as executive producers. McCarthy-Miller directed the series premiere.
Entering its ninth and final season, hit comedy LAST MAN STANDING will have a special season premiere Sunday, Jan. 3 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), following the series premiere of CALL ME KAT. LAST MAN STANDING makes its time period premiere Thursday, Jan. 7 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT). The series stars Tim Allen as MIKE BAXTER, a happily married father of three daughters, who finds himself the odd man out in a home dominated by women. The series also stars Nancy Travis, Amanda Fuller, Molly McCook, Christoph Sanders, Jordan Masterson, Jonathan Adams, Krista Marie Yu and Hector Elizondo. After the events of the eighth season finale, during which Kristin (Fuller) went into labor with her baby daughter, while Mandy (McCook) was pregnant with her first child, the series will jump ahead into the near future, when Mike and his wife, Vanessa (Travis), will contemplate their own future, including Mike's imminent retirement from his lifelong job at Outdoor Man - and who could be his successor. LAST MAN STANDING is produced by 20th Television. The series was created by Jack Burditt. Kevin Abbott, Matt Berry, Kevin Hench, Ed Yeager, Tim Allen, Marty Adelstein, Shawn Levy, Becky Clements, Richard Baker, Rick Messina, Pat Bullard, Mike Teverbaugh, Linda Teverbaugh and John Amodeo are executive producers. Abbott serves as the series' showrunner.
Also on Thursday, Jan. 7 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), hit culinary competition series HELL'S KITCHEN returns for its 19th season in a flashy new setting, as Chef Gordon Ramsay takes the show to Las Vegas, the city that's home to the world's first Gordon Ramsay HELL'S KITCHEN restaurant at Caesars Palace. For the first time ever, 16 aspiring chefs from around the country will roll the dice and head to Sin City in the hopes of winning big. Each week, the competition will get hotter as the chefs are put through rigorous culinary challenges - reaping high stakes rewards and punishments, all with a Sin City flare. But only those who possess the right combination of ingredients will continue in the competition, until one is named winner. At stake is a life-changing grand prize, including a Head Chef position at Gordon Ramsay HELL'S KITCHEN Lake Tahoe at Harvey's Hotel and Casino, and the title of HELL'S KITCHEN winner. HELL'S KITCHEN is produced by ITV Entertainment in association with A. Smith & Co. Productions, Inc. Gordon Ramsay, Arthur Smith, Kent Weed, Kenny Rosen and Bernie Schaeffer serve as executive producers.
Season Four of THE RESIDENT, premiering Tuesday, Jan. 12 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), continues to shine a light on the daily heroism of today's health care workers. The provocative medical drama follows the doctors and nurses at Chastain Memorial Hospital, as they face personal and professional challenges and fight for their patients' health. The new season picks up as DR. CONRAD HAWKINS (Matt Czuchry) and NURSE PRACTIONER NICOLETTE NEVIN (Emily VanCamp) tie the knot in an intimate and beautiful wedding, strengthening their already powerful bond. Meanwhile, Chastain is transitioning from private to public hospital, causing the hero doctors to fight to fix the broken machine from the inside. DR. RANDOLPH BELL (Bruce Greenwood) finds himself mining his own past to find his estranged former stepson, elite plastic surgeon DR. JAKE WONG (guest star Conrad Ricamora). Bell attempts to bring Dr. Wong to Chastain to increase the number of world-class surgeries at the hospital and to repair their complicated past. Additionally, as star surgical resident DR. MINA OKAFOR (Shaunette Renée Wilson) and her brilliant mentor, DR. AJ AUSTIN (Emmy Award nominee Malcolm-Jamal Warner), grow closer than ever, they must learn to maintain a professional relationship within the walls of the hospital. The series also stars Manish Dayal, Jane Leeves and Morris Chestnut. THE RESIDENT is produced by 20th Television. Todd Harthan, Andrew Chapman, Peter Elkoff, Amy Holden Jones, Rob Corn, Antoine Fuqua and Oly Obst are executive producers.
From executive producer Greg Berlanti, Season Two of PRODIGAL SON premieres on Tuesday, Jan. 12 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT). PRODIGAL SON follows MALCOLM BRIGHT (Tom Payne), a criminal profiler with a rare talent for getting inside the minds of killers. He learned how they think because his father, DR. MARTIN WHITLY (Michael Sheen), was a notorious serial killer known as "The Surgeon." Now he's using his twisted genius to help the NYPD solve their most puzzling murders. Bright's team, led by his longtime mentor, NYPD Lieutenant GIL ARROYO (Lou Diamond Phillips), includes Detectives DANI POWELL (Aurora Perrineau), JT TARMEL (Frank Harts) and medical examiner DR. EDRISA TANAKA (Keiko Agena). Season Two picks up with Bright's personal life in disarray after the shocking actions of his sister, AINSLEY (Halston Sage), in the Season One finale. Now, he must "take care" of her and protect his mother, JESSICA WHITLY (Bellamy Young), from a secret that could tear the family apart all over again. Further complicating matters, Martin seeks to deepen his relationship with Bright, his "prodigal son," but forging this bond leads to shocking twists and revelations. PRODIGAL SON is produced by Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and FOX Entertainment. Chris Fedak and Sam Sklaver created the series, and are executive producers, showrunners and writers on the show. Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter also serve as executive producers.
FOX's #1 drama, 9-1-1, and last season's #1 new scripted series, 9-1-1: LONE STAR, will have their back-to-back season premieres on Monday, Jan. 18. Creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear reenergize the procedural drama with 9-1-1 and the first extension of its universe, 9-1-1: LONE STAR, set in Austin, TX. Both series explore the high-pressure experiences of police officers, firefighters and dispatchers who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives. The fourth season premiere of 9-1-1 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) kicks off with another jaw-dropping signature disaster that only Los Angeles' finest and fearless first responders can handle. After a devastating 8.0 earthquake and coastal tsunami wreaked havoc in the city, what could possibly be next? Meanwhile, among the chaos, Athena (Angela Bassett) is determined to put her physical and emotional injuries behind her and jump back into the job, as Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Chimney (Kenneth Choi) prepare for the birth of their baby, and Buck (Oliver Stark) delves into his past to help deal with his present. The series also stars Peter Krause, Aisha Hinds, Ryan Guzman, Rockmund Dunbar, John Harlan Kim, Corinne Massiah, Marcanthonee Reis and Gavin McHugh. 9-1-1 is produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear are creators and executive producers. Alexis Martin Woodall, Bradley Buecker, John J. Gray, Kristen Reidel, Angela Bassett and Peter Krause are executive producers. Minear and Reidel serve as co-showrunners on the series. Buecker directed the series premiere and continues to direct episodes of the series.
Actress Gina Torres ("Suits," "Pearson," "Firefly") joins Season Two of 9-1-1: LONE STAR (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) as Captain TOMMY VEGA. But even as CPT. OWEN STRAND (Rob Lowe) welcomes Vega to the 126, he must face the unexpected arrival of his ex-wife, Gwyneth (recurring guest star Lisa Edelstein, "House"), who visits Austin to check on their firefighter son, T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein), following the injuries he sustained at the end of last season. All of this occurs as the rescue squad must deal with an emergency that the Texas capital has never encountered before. The series also stars Jim Parrack, Sierra McClain, Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, Rafael Silva and Julian Works. 9-1-1: LONE STAR is produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television and Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear are creators and executive producers. Alexis Martin Woodall, Bradley Buecker, Rashad Raisani, John J. OPM Webcomic Chapter 124 Review: Comings and Goings
I’m just staying for the dog
We finally get a better idea of what the Neo Hero offer is when we see Forte discussing how much he’s tempted by it with his friends.  Twice the salary, which must be a lot considering that in the manga Suiryu had been tempted by the prospect of making what Snek did  (not enough to be told what to do).  Not just free housing, but also free food and clothing, so that salary will really go far. Access to equipment for all heroes, not just higher-ranked heroes.  An AI that assigns the best group of heroes for a threat, as well as readily-available transportation to threats.  Literally the only reason they’ll kick out a hero is for a lack ‘normative awareness’ which threw me a bit, but it’s a term from psychology referring to a practioner’s awareness of their own ethics.
Just one thing bothers them: who will take care of Rover?  Saitama may be a great hero, but he has no business being a dog owner.  Forte, Chain n’ Toad and Butterfly DX coming to a tacit agreement not to leave the Hero Association because they can’t stomach leaving an innocent animal in the tender mercies of a neglectful owner is touching.  Perhaps they should buy the dog off Saitama!
Tumblr media
Saitama notes that no one has approached him to ask him to join the Neo Heroes -- and then he is.   Approached at any rate.  By a group of disgruntled heroes angry at the shameful names the Hero Association has given them.  As the top-ranked hero, they’ve come to ask ‘Caped Baldy’ to lead a delegation to force the Hero Association to rename them.
Tumblr media
poor dears
We move on to see how the new HA candidate, who we’ve learned is named Suiko, is getting on with her Hero Test.
For this face alone, I LOVE her.  It’s the face of a young woman furious at being belittled yet again:
Tumblr media
She certainly shuts the scouts up by destroying the combat robot tester in grand style, although she’s disappointed to only get an A-Class placement.  Nevertheless, the scouts are extremely hopeful that once she gets actual battle experience and starts to develop, she’ll make it to Class S.   I’m so ready to see a heroine get there by muscle power, yes, yes please!
Tumblr media
I fucking love her attitude
Meanwhile, her slacker brother is considering heroism after all, as he has showed up at the Neo Heroes to give it a try.
ONE has not been afraid to change things between webcomic and manga and it’s in great evidence with Suiryu’s apprearance in the webcomic.  Because the events surrounding the Super Fight did not happen in the webcomic, webcomic Suiryu does not know Saitama and is his original arrogant, lazy, money-grubbing self.  The Neo Heroes must be paying fantastically to overcome his dislike for rules, of which the Neo Heroes has many (certainly more than the Hero Association did).  Whether Suiryu will come to some Damascene conversion like his manga equivalent did or not is something that remains to be seen.
Tumblr media
famous last words, mate
We close out the chapter with Genos getting his long-awaited spar (one-sided thrashing?) and thanking Saitama for the invaluable data he’s been able to gather.  As Saitama turns away,  he starts to ask him about what Saitama did with Amai Mask but stops at seeing how uncharacteristically serious he looks.
Tumblr media
... just what has Saitama had to do?
Genos need not have worried.  Saitama is still Saitama -- it’s the stone in his shoe that bothers him, not the mountain he effortlessly leaped to the top of.  His serious face is because he’s thinking about the Victim Hero Names Association and is looking forward to being able to pick a better name for himself.
Even if the world is on fire, there’s still time to toast marshmallows.
Meta: When the heroes fight each other, the monsters win
Black Sperm summarizes the situation beautifully.   At a time when the Hero Association has come in for some long-overdue criticism, the Neo Heroes has magically popped up as an alternative, giving people something to flock to.
Splitting hero forces this way is only going to confuse the picture and lead to tensions between rival factions, which is space that monsters, villains and no-gooders can thrive in.
The Neo Hero offer appears very carefully calibrated to appeal to heroes.  We’ve long known that Hero Association pays very poorly, particularly at the C-Class and B-Class levels.  Even Class S doesn’t make what it could, if Flashy Flash noting that any hero working for the money is in the wrong field.    We’ve known that heroes are generally expected to get themselves to site themselves,  HA-provided transport is a rarity.   They’ve promised to ensure that heroes are never faced with fighting on their own and that they’ll use an AI match hero talents to the monster threat at hand.  The last point raises an interesting question -- how can they know that?  It’s a problem the Hero Association has been desperate to solve and that Child Emperor took a crack at before realizing that there was no way to tell exactly what a monster was like before engaging it.  Who wrote that AI then?   With 2000 heroes on the books to lavish funds on,  just how long is the largesse of the Neo Heroes going to continue?
So many questions needing answers.

Seon Adventures Episode 22:  Reunions In The Big City
So it’s been a couple of months. We went on a bit of a hiatus, we did o w o;;;
But we had our 22nd session this Wednesday, so we good~!
The night of the inter-party drama goes a bit smoother than the day. With Malak taking to his room, Luctan sitting against the door to keep company, Amelia travels the town to gather flowers from a kindly gnomish  lady named Daffine. She takes a suspicious amount of them, all in good nature as the transaction occurs.
“Quite the bunch, you’re running me out of stock here!”
As the Narahs travel ever the closer to Crystalgate, singing along the way and attracting a crowd, much like in a musical and much to FIcus’ dismay, Mournimar watches from a window, with his dear companion Morgan as Nelatha sneaks her way home.
Luctan, unaware whether Malak is awake or not, talks still, in a Frozen fashion, about the events that transpired that day. He apologizes for the party’s dynamic and makes it clear that he holds no ill will towards the cleric for placing him in a Hold Person spell. He even shares the woes of this happening to him in the past.
The disguised tiefling, who surprisingly would get joined by Archie, who somehow, some way, found Luctan at the Temple, would continue talking about the complications of the lives they live from his youthful perspective. Already soured by his own experiences in the material plane, but keeping that knowledge to himself. As he only knows Malak for aproximately 3 days.
As he tries to express his perspective on morality, given the situation with the old woman from earlier, Mournimar meets up with Nel, downstairs.
“Whatcha doin’?”
“Going back to my home if that’s allowed?”  Nel answers to the taller figure and the two have a bit of a sass off.
As Nel keeps her cards to herself, expressing mainly the point of her mother’s transportation being hush-hush,  Mourni elaborates on the shenanigans of the day. Nel does love a personal story, assuming that something got the other men in the party hot and bothered for each other.
Regardless, with Amelia eventually returning to the Shadowspire Mannor, everyone finds their sleep.
The day after, Amelia is woken up early by the half-elven woman, who takes her to watch the tri-spires of the city in the morning light.
Tumblr media
It is a lovely and romantic experience for the two, to say the least.
Meanwhile, Luctan and Malak also wake, the first much to the dismay of the second. Before initiating any conversations, Luctan feels a familiar pain across his back. An old pain. An ever rebounding one. A Phantom Pain.
Tumblr media
That established, Luctan checks with the Cleric to see how he was doing. Malak has to even point out that the Temple of Kemis had accomodations for guests, he didn’t have to sleep on the ground. But Luctan merely would answer that he wanted to make sure Malak was doing ok. If he still wanted to go with the party.
Malak seems to agree to carry on and the two men make their way back to the SM. On the way, Luctan sings a merry little song, which may require attunement, as Malak points out with the offer that Belli could give him singing lessons.
Luctan’s eyes catch something on the path to the Mannor. Flyers and posters for the Spring Welcoming Festival. Upon it, Luctan sees the names of other groups, who will participate.
“Crystalgate’s Finest”, “The Darksbane Elite”, and of course... “The Traveling Gentlefolk”.
Tumblr media
Luctan has a hard time composing himself, in profile during this, to Malak’s confusion and unawares.
To Malak’s knowledge, TDBE are the token five of TDBA.Crystalgate’s Finest are the local guard. Usually lead by the same Vigilance of the Guard.  Leyla Dustone and Terrorwind the Half Orc from TDBA will be part of the 1st team.
From what Malak knows, TTG travel as a group, typical heroic adventure types. Arrogant, but you know, pretty strong guys. They had recently been asking around the temples for a new magic practioner. But stopped asking 2 months ago. Presumably having found one.
As they carry on their path, Mournimar and Morgan exit the mannor, to search for the other guys, with his trusty dire wolf at his side, after a good vibing session.
The girls come home at this time, laughing and having a gay old time, passing by the tiefling on the way to breakfast.
As it were, the three fellows meet up. With the tieflings almost missing each other again, if not for Malak’s perceptiveness and Dexterous know how.
Tumblr media
After a few jokes involving Mournimar’s hair and squirrels, for some reason, they return to the mannor, for breakfast.
As Amelia picks up her furbal, from Luctan, the lads also have breakfast. Much sweeter than what they’re used to, as Belli’s gourmet usually has a variety to it.
(And we get hungri irl)
Post-breakfast, the party convene on the day’s activities. Missing an innuendo from Nel, Luctan brings out a list on possible jobs they could take:
“ Knight Kelvin Mountainsteel wants a job to be done, qualifications uncertain, ‘till we get there.”
“Ziaz, Teller of Tales, slain in the Silver District. Anyone with clues to report back and can get a reward.”
“ Lord Arwen of Elevir, Member of the Circles, wants help with an issue of possible high powered mage. Needs qualified people, who can handle magic users, rather than the guards.”
“String of Murders in the Bronze District, details inside.”
From Nelatha, the party learn that Knight Kelvin’s demeanor has given her the understandable opinion that the man is, As the word is. A “cock”. A creeper of sorts.
From Nel, the party also learn that Zias was a performer at the Voluptani Mistique, whcih strikes the party as odd as they were still fully operating, in spite of the recent murder. Guards seem to be keeping watch over the body in an alley, still.
As this gets discussed, Luctan would occasionally scratch his beard. The noise of hair being scratched would tip off Nel that something was up. Which signals to Luctan to remember that he hasn’t shared with either of them his true form.
In spite of Mournimar’s poor attempt at a lie, Nelatha suggest it fine for Luctan to keep his secret, if he isn’t comfortable sharing.
Regarding the Lord Arwen job, Nel points out that the Lord, a High Mage, isn’t a complete dick, as long as they know how to handle him during negotiations.
The party offer her a position on the Cultbusters for this job, but Nel has to refrain. As she has work to do in town, involving the training of other bards. Less experienced bards. Barldings, if you will.
Tumblr media
Safe to say that Luctan and Amelia admire Nel in their own respective way. Biggest fans.
Either way, it’s safely agreed upon that the party will wait for Belli’s big return, before they take on a mission.
Nel messages Belli. “It’s Nelatha. We were wondering how close to home you were and how your personal goings on’re working out for you. Will you be back soon? Goodbye.”
Holy shit, Nel?! You can reply to me? Holy god?! Ok, Ficus, me and my dad’ll be coming soon.” The Narahs were hours away. And Belli had elaborated that the family will be partying it up in Crystalgate soon enough.
Nel goes sheet white.
One way or another, something leads Luctan to remember referring to someone in his past as having “eyes like dandelions”.
As conversations go on, something triggers a response from Luctan. Or lack there of as Luctan gets a 1000 yard stare. Noticing the bout of PTSD coming to Luctan, Mournimar takes his tiefling brother in arms out for fresh air, where the two men have a heart to heart about what had transpired. Luctan, in a sour mood, confides in Mournimar about his phantom pains flaring up.
Mournimar offers to cast Cure wounds on Luctan, however Luctan catches his wrist, before he can even cast it. “It won’t work. They’re  scars.”

While the drama occurs outside, Malak and Amelia have a moment between themselves. Discussing Belli and apologizing for the previous day's outcome,   Amelia hands the Cleric one of the sets of flowers she had bought the previous night: The Hyacinth.
Tumblr media
A couple of hours pass and the Narah Bus comes back to town, music blaring and people in the streets, familiar with the Narah family, cheering, whooping and hollering like in one big musical. Nel, conveniently making a quick exit, the big reunion and meeting happens as Belli gives everyone hugs!
Mournimar gets a hug! Amelia gets a hug! Luctan gets a hug! Malak gets a hug! Even a random kid gets a hug out of this situation!
Belli gets like 3 gold and 20 silver from her performance.
And so the party meet Bob. Mournimar and Amelia get easily intimidated by the large Orc Man, hiding behind Luctan, comedic as it is with Mournimar having a few inches over Luck without counting the horns.
Tumblr media
Words are traded, double pistols and winks are had, dad stares were involved at some point as well! The old bard takes a big moment to thank everyone for being there for Belli, when her family couldn’t. Belli counts the others as her family as well.
Tumblr media
Before Bob leaves for the  Tabernax inn, it is made known that a big party will be happening, with the Narahs helming it to make their grand return.
Luctan offers Ficus a position on the team, given his mood and the half-orc rogue accepts, joining them for the quest that Belli picks, in honor of her return: The job for Lord Arwen.
Notably, Ficus knows of the Lord, better than the rest, thanks to his underground contacts. His wife had been, at some point, a mark for a crime?
That said, he would lead everyone to the Dunspire, casting Disguise Self to make himself appear as a more elveny half-elf than he already was.
The Dunspire. Mostly silver with a spiral pattern. Windows repeating on every floor. There’s a magical aura to the place. The specific shape and position of the windows change, whenever the winds do.
The only ground entrance seems to come in the form of a single door, guarded by an interesting pair. A Golliath woman with a shaven head and a halfling man. One with a greataxe, the other with a pair of scimitars.
With Luck and Ficus doing the talking and showing the flier the Fighter would have taken at some point, Luctan assures them an audience inside, even though the two guards give each other an “Get a load of these guys” look.
Tumblr media
Instructions are given, as well:
The party are to hand over their weapons at the entrance. Follow the path up to the 4th floor, where the Lord sits and do not enter any other parts of the tower.
Entering, the six put away their weapons on the designated spot, one person at a time under the watchful eyes of what appear to be mostly elven and half-elven soldiers.
"Do I leave this?” Belli asks, showing off her kazoo.
“That will not be necessary.”
“How about this?” she asks again, showing her ukelele.
“That will not be necessary.”
“How about this, do I leave this?” she shows off the flute.
“That will not be necessary.”
Offering a cupcake to a half-elven man, Belli is told, yet again, by what a Gwendoline Cristie looking elven woman the words, as a punchline:  “Providing food will not be necessary.”
Tumblr media
And so. We go up.
Walking past the 2nd floor… Amelia and Mournimar notice and spot Nel, for some reason. There is a blood splatter up her arm. She notices the party. As Amelia gets a one arm hug. “I wasn’t expecting you to be up here in the Dunspire.” and talk shop, Luctan makes a bigger revelation... The blood is not hers.
Thinking fast, he writes a message on her palm, using Prestidigitation, while Nel confides in the group to carry on to the Lord.
While Mournimar and Belli have a conversation over what could have happened with Nel, Amelia and the titular hold a private conversation.
The group soon part with the bard, Belli sharing that the family is coming soon enough.
They eventually get to the Lord’s office. Knocking, the door opens on it’s own.
A Dark haired, elven man sits behind his desk. Lord Arwen himself.
After giving their credentials with the most notable of activities, the party enter.
Lord Arwen explains the problem:
He pulls out two scrolls from the table, unravels them and they are maps of crystalgate from different perspectives. On each there is a seemingly perfect circle in red and blue crosses. Each of these little marks is a spot where a lightning strike has hit, loud thunder clatter.
A magic user conducting a ritual. It’s uncertain whom. Could be one of their mages? Could be dangerous or a curious mind. Not a muscle by a wizard gets lifted in Crystalgate, without the Circle knowing about it. So this mystery understandably has them spooked.
Somewhere, in the South East, outside the walls of town, someone was dropping lightning bolts and they didn’t know who, why or how.
Tumblr media
People, who stop there are less well off. There are orphanages and one of them is in the area. Also lots of ex-military. Religion wise, these are Bellinas worshipers.  Possibly people, who talk a lot of shit about Qorin. If there would be an area, worshipping Dahktot, it’d be that kinda area.
That said. They hadn’t found any  ivine energies in the area, so arcane user.  Adventurers are perfect for this, ‘cause people don’t trust the Circle.
A list of people living in the area is provided to the group, to aid them in questioning people in the outskirts.
Something interesting gets noted. 5 previous parties had stepped on this floor before the Cultbusters, regarding this job.
One half of the group never bothered with the quest. The other half thought it too dangerous and the 5th, the info coerced by Malak, failed.
Tumblr media
Through the haggling of Luctan and Belli, the party are offered 90GP each for finishing this job. Collecting all physical information the group need, they take to the streets, determined to get the job done.
Walking through the South Eastern part of outer Crystalgate, Luctan bumps into someone.
Standing at 5′6, with red hair and a pair of blue eyes that surprisingly match Amelia’s, he comes face to face with a lovely young woman in blue robes.
She looks from the “human” fighter to the air genasi monk with a look of familiarity.
The two recognize each other as Amelia sees, for the first time in a long time, her sister.
Tumblr media
Her sister, who refers to her as “Dee-Dee”.
End of session/episode.

Dr. Booze
Tumblr media
I’d better talk about alcohol, right? I’m doing this resilience thing, its Sober October…I’ll do one of those drinking apps. That’ll be fun and informative. Something to write about without too much personal risk. I’m queen of blogs! Here we go...
So I download the UCH research app ‘Drink Less’ (https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/drink-less-help-reducing-your-alcohol-consumption/id1020579244?mt=8).
Tumblr media
It has a units recorder (3 pints of cider and regret on weekends, that’s within limits), do I get hangovers (twice a year, tops) and those ‘do you drink in the morning’ questions (no!). I’m acing this. And then my results are in and am I happy to share them with the researchers. Sure! I’ve got nothing to worry about. I click.... Wait. I drink more than 92% of the women my age and I’m at physical and psychological harm? This isn’t non threatening fun any more...
Tumblr media
I then spend half an hour arguing with an app. I’ve never justified behavior to a piece of software for so long before. They can’t have had a reliable reference group.? They haven’t taken into account I don’t drink during the week (much)? Then I panic. I messaged friends and put up a Facebook post. A load of people made me feel better. Phew.  “You’re not so bad, you don’t drink as much as me”, “who are their reference group? Who are these non drinking women, I don’t know any!” “you know that no UCH researchers is ever based in reality, right?”. I felt a bit better. Then later there were the people who messaged to say  what fun we’d all had and remember this and what happened when. Then I got quite uncomfortable. I’ve not done anything too daft, I’ve always been safe getting home but I might not have been.  My behavior towards others has been a bit ropey on a few occasions and I’ve said a few disinhibited things I’m not completely proud of. Although calling out a creep with “you have eyes like a haunted Victorian doll’ still makes me smile . But I hate hangovers with a passion. I don’t want to be known as the ‘cheap pink fizz girl’ . I’m going to have to make changes.
I then asked friends why they drink. It all came down to escaping reality one way or another. We know doctors are particularly vulnerable to this. In addition, medical culture has always been one based a lot around booze. I went to the Union bar last week after seeing a tutee’s revue show. It was filthy and brilliant and I was very proud. The cider afterwards was very cheap and there was beer pong and pitchers of lager going on around. I left soon as I was clearly 40 times older than everyone but it brought back memories of hours in the basement of St Mary’s on the sticky floor drinking ‘Whip’.  The medical student population has thankfully diversified considerably than in my day when if you didn’t have a ‘European name’ or you were a woman you were excluded from interview and points given against you (I kid you not, it was a wretched scandal http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1365-2923.1986.tb01052.x/abstract https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2545288/pdf/bmj00275-0003.pdf ) and so there are more students that won’t be drinking for cultural reasons. However, it was Friday and booze o’clock.
We know addictive drinking among doctors is a problem. This from the Royal College of Psychiatrists
There have been no large-scale studies investigating the prevalence of addiction among doctors in the UK however in  1998, a British Medical Association Working Group report estimated that as many as ‘one doctor in fifteen may be affected by drug or alcohol problems at some point during their careers’. The consensus of the report was that these doctors were mainly male, beyond the mid-point in their careers and more likely to be in general practice than in hospital practice (British Medical Association, 1998). More than 10 years on, younger doctors and medical students, increasingly female, are exposed to a wider range of recreational psychoactive drugs, which are frequently combined with heavy alcohol consumption. This occurs against a background of culturally sanctioned heavy drinking and substance use.
I’d highlight the young woman bit in this; woman doctors have similar behaviours to their male colleagues across the board as I’ve talked about before which sets them apart from the general population. Men on the whole find it hard to ask for help with their health, but women doctors are almost as bad at this. We have to look after ourselves.
Tumblr media
This picture makes me laugh because the lady doctor in the picture is giving the advice but I’m wondering how much she drinks....
So why are we at risk?
·       Addiction problems in doctors usually occur in the context of a number of difficulties including anxiety, depression, psychological difficulties, stress at work, family stress, bereavement, an injury or accident at work, pain or a non-specific drift into drinking (Brooke et al, 1993).
·       The relationship between perceived stress at work and substance misuse appears to be mediated by individual psychological vulnerability factors. Difficulties in childhood can affect perceived stress in adults and this has been shown to hold true for junior doctors (Brewin et al, 1992; Firth-Cozens, 1992).
·       Psychological risk factors include goal-directed and perfectionist traits, poor self-esteem, undue sensitivity, difficulty confiding in others and a low tolerance for frustration. Anxiety and depression are frequent antecedents to alcohol and drug problems in all age groups, and suicide is an ever-present risk. Women doctors with alcohol problems often have a family history of addiction, have been high achievers at medical school, have undetected depression and are at a high risk of suicide (Bissell & Skorina, 1987).
I instinctively know that last bit; my dad was an alcoholic. He brewed his own super strong beer and being an airline pilot (history of depression, high stress job, alcoholic father and grandfather) his risk was huge. Plus I’m a playwright and don’t get me started on drinking in the arts.
Tumblr media
However, the news is good once you’ve gone that step forward doctors are usually good patients, highly motivated and there is an increasing desire to support struggling medics.
Once in treatment the outlook for the addicted doctor is excellent. Doctors are usually motivated to return to work. This motivation and the fear of sanctions are key factors to good outcomes, as are supervision and monitoring. The figures in North America suggest that 80–90% of doctors in treatment do well over 1–5 years (Galanter et al, 1990; Bohigan et al, 1996)
Support is available now in lots of places;
NHS Practioner Health Programme http://www.rcpsych.ac.uk/workinpsychiatry/psychiatristssupportservice/drugandalcoholproblems.aspx
Sick Doctors Trust http://sick-doctors-trust.co.uk/page/addiction
DocHealth http://www.dochealth.org.uk/who-we-are
Alcoholics Anonymous - everywhere
As I’ve said here before, I sought support from MedNet which is now DocHealth for PTSD/anxiety/depression 5 years back and they were fantastically supportive. I’m not saying is easy, but it’s the right thing to do.
So do I have an alcohol problem? I don’t think I do but I have some alcohol use behaviors I have been historically not happy about and I need to be watchful. I’m off the sauce completely right now whilst I reset and I’m trying some dreadful alcohol free drinks so you don’t have to. There’s one gin substitute that suggests mixing with a handful of peas. Peas.
Tumblr media
But I don’t want to be permanently on the wagon. I have friends that are and its hard work socially as they have to give an explanation every time. My hat is off to them. There are groups to join such as the Soberistas (https://soberistas.com/ ) and This Naked Mind (https://thisnakedmind.com/stopdrinking/) for anyone ready to take that plunge. In the meantime I’m looking more at when I drink with the aim of never having a hangover again (and when I write that, it doesn’t actually sound mad, it sounds sensible). I love a cold beer on a hot day, a mulled wine in winter and a cider in a squishy glass at a festival. That’s all possible.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, I might turn off the push notifications. A banner with the words ‘Drink Less. Have you done your alcohol diary?’ keeps popping up on my phone which is raising eyebrows in MDT meetings. Keep well everyone.

My roommate is currently sleeping on my thighs n i dont have the heart to kick her off. So ima just ramble some hcs i have. Im on mobile so pardon any mistakes.
▪ Ignis and Cor are the only ones, beside actually medical practioners, Gladio trust with popping back in dislocated limbs or taking a bullet out of him. Prompto swore it was an accident, but we know that Prompto knew what he was doing.
▪ When theyre playing a game where choice matters, like Until Dawn, Noctis is the worst person to have around, because he just has to create chaos. Prompto: should we shoot emily? Ignis: as far as I know, we dont actually know if a bite turns her into a wendigo. Gladio: and its not like iggy doesnt pay attention. Ignis: youre damn ri- Noctis: shoot her. Prompto: DUDE. NO. Noctis: SHOOT HER. Gladio: SHUT UP Noctis: DO IT PROMPTO, WHAT DO HAVE TO LOSE.
▪ Cor can wear stilettos and can easily outrun everybody. Thats the true reason why he's Immortal.
▪ Cor and Ignis are the best drunks to have around. Ignis gets super competitive and aggressive while Cor is 10x more talkative. Cor: you wont believe the shit me n your dad did back in the day. Noctis: I dont want to know, please stop because I already stop listening. Cor: ANYWAYS. Meanwhile, Ignis *swears* he has better aim than Prompto. Thus a game of beer pong has started. Prompto is just "noct please save me, Ignis is about to throw his daggers and hes been missing every other shot and this is his other shot."
▪ Prompto isn't a fan of liquor/drinking! Its not that he can't handle it or anything, he just doesnt like drinking so he opts out to be the designated driver.
▪ Cor is a lightweight, because it makes me laugh at the irony. He thought over the years he would build a tolerance to it, but nah. Cor is just "i'll drink at home so i can be foolish in peace."
▪ flexible ignis?? Ignis being flexible and able to drop it low? Does it real slow? Pop, pop, pop that thing? Hes going to make your man go oh.

Enjoy, Benefits, Protection and Holy Water For Animals
People have even fought with me that I might not need needed surgery to correct my injuries. I'd also concur that perhaps most of my hill cycling incidents may not have needed surgery. But, I will however claim that had I used medical practioners to check on and get x-rays at every example, that was undoubtedly guaranteed, and possibly put in an MRI to the formula, I would still have been required to invest thousands of dollars.
Nevertheless, my fact was very easy: I'd number insurance and no money open to top the medical expenses--due largely to different more pressing family priorities. Meanwhile, I had to repair the problem and cure the excruciating suffering from each Holy Water . With exactly the same trust and perseverance that I applied to cure the thumb, I went forward with holy water to remedy the others of my injuries.
I could state many definitely that at a minimum I saved $15,000 in verifiable medical fees, insurance firms applied holy water on my first injury in 2007. Today, I love the entire healing of of my previous accidents that I've related. Here is how holy water may be used for accidents according to my strategy; but, please remember that with first-aid incidents, I look after these with soap and water, and triple antibiotic cream.
Apply holy water like it was an cream over the area which will be presently hurt, or hurting. I would recommend that you take action two or three instances each day, and please say these phrases, "Lord, I thanks for therapeutic me." For sinus pressure and complications, I position the water on my temples, nose, and forehead. Different suggested employs for holy water that I utilize for guarding and prevention purposes.l
For overall particular delights, position holy water along with your fingers on your forehead. If you're a Christian, you possibly can make the signal of the cross, if you wish; otherwise, only anoint your self with it. The concept here's to keep you safe from damage and sicknesses of sorts. You can certainly do it everyday or occasionally, and you may even want to state these words, "Thank You Lord for Your joys and protection."
