This is probably a lot longer than you were expecting so I apologize for that, I have a tendency to go on rants—

CW- c.trauma responses, trust issues, spoilers for Leona’s backstory

I mean just in general- Leona is just a guarded person as a prince yes, but also has a person with a shitty childhood experience

He has shown to be very aware that he has a lot of things others want (his status and money) and he has connections others want (his brother and family). He also is already used to people only being nice to him for his brother. He’s used to people not really caring about him and his achievements, but still putting up this facade that they do.

That kinda upbringing is sure to give a kid a lot of trust issues

With the exception of Savanaclaw, (which I think it did apply to them until his OB) what Leona knows is everyone just wants his brother.

What I meant mainly in that post was “he’s not gonna open up in any way to someone who doesn’t show they actually want to be with him”. Not his status. Not his money. Not his brother. Him.

I do have another response post coming up talking about why I think he has depression and that’ll include some trust issues in there as well where I can elaborate.

Also this came out a bit messy cause I had parts of it saved but other parts tumblr just deleted fsr idk 🤷 future rants will be more organized than this
