Portfolio room

A background illustration I made for my portfolio website. Posting this here because it fits the vibe of the blog.

When someone visits my portfolio, I'd like to imagine that they're walking into a cozy little curated room. I'm planning on redesigning my portfolio to reflect this idea.

The little guy on the bottom left is the room's caretaker. Their name is Solor. I hired them to make sure everything in the room is in order.

Location #5 - Guardhouse

Repeated object - The security guard's white plastic chair. It's turning yellow after being left under the sun day after day.

Repeated object - An empty can of 100 blus Ein drank yesterday. It's the perfect thing to cool you down in this eternal summer.

Repeated object - One of the lanterns hanging on the eaves. They've never been taken down.

Location #2 - Dining Table

Repeated object - A 四万 mahjong tile from 蕾's personal set. They bought it not too long ago, hoping to invite their club mates over for a game.

I'm Wenxuan!

I'm currently making a series of illustrations themed around 'mundane objects taking over everyday spaces'. This blog acts as a repository of sorts for the series.

I aim to dispense cozy vibes only.

Inspirations for this project are Katamari Damacy and Pikmin. I love games where mundane objects are treated as treasures and collectibles.
