Day 2: First Heartbreak We can get our hearts broken in many ways, and it's not always necessarily in the aftermath of romance. Sometimes, the romance just isn't there, or perhaps, it's there but it just isn't fair. That heartbreak came to me unexpectedly, but it was necessary. Now I understand people who do crazy silly things for love, and I also understand people who are broken down by it. For someone who hasn't been in a relationship, I have not had my fair share. I probably have not seen the worst. But in that unexpected instance, and the roller coaster of emotions that followed it, I understood. So that's how it feels to get your heart broken. Thank God for friends, beach and beer.

Day 1: My Profile Photo

My friend, Aja, took this shot of me at the Narita Airport. We had just gotten back from spending three nights in Osaka and were on our way to spend three more nights in Tokyo. I was tasked to watch over the luggage when she and our other friend, Tina, went to the restroom.

This was our first trip to Japan, which we had long been planning together. And it was one of my best travels yet. We saw five cities in six days - Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo, Yamanashi (Mt. Fuji) and Hakone - and still felt like we’ve got some unfinished business.

I remember what I was thinking in this photo. Taking everything in, I thought, “I love Japan. I could live here.”

Tumblr, reboot.

I saw this 30-day writing challenge from Pam Pastor and it seemed interesting so I thought it would be a good reason to revive my tumblr which has now become an Instagram dump site (I know, I'm using it wrong). I've done something like this before in my blogspot but only made it to day 7. Let's see if I can make it past day 7 this time. Haha.
