Adventures: August 16th, 2022:

Acquired 1 cicada shell (named it Cathy)

Helped a living cicada escape a chicken pen & a cat

Found some old, clean-rotted chicken bones (need to properly clean them up for further use)

Found 2 snail shells (need to properly clean them up for further use)

Saw 2 more living cicadas chilling

Lots of dragonflies

Lots of hummingbirds

Face-to-face with a red wasp, told me to square up or fuck off (I fucked off, not messing with that hoe)

Went out later and found even more of aforementioned chicken bones

Got at least 2 mosquito bites :/

Cable Elves

You might think that cables and chords tangle themselves due to a combination of tiny vibrations over time and the initial position and elastic potential of the cables in question.

You might think that leaving the cable in a dense spiral (the most common storing method) would allow the "upper strings" to fall to the side over time, but (due to the elastic tension at the other end of the part that fell) they wouldn’t fall perfectly to the ground, which would result in the tangles and knots.

YOU WOULD BE WRONG!!!

The truth that so many don't want to accept is that there are nefarious creatures that sneak into people's homes with their only intention being to knot and tangle their cables, chords, and wires! Creatures so foul that they do this heinous act for no reason other than wicked glee.

These elusive and slippery beings are known only as the “Cable Elves”, and there is no house, home, or building safe from their evil entangling ways.

BASIC INFORMATION:

APPEARANCE:

1.04 ft tall (0.4 m) on average

5 lbs (2.27 kg) at most

Skin is rather pale and almost translucent; comes in a variety of colors, typically white/gray, yellow, green, and blue

Seem to mostly be hairless, though some have long, braided or twisted beards

Long, bony fingers with jagged fingernails; much the same with their feet and toes

Gangly limbs

Pointed ears

Short, curled tails, not unlike pigs

BEHAVIORS:

Nocturnal; dwell in dark places

Have the ability to slip in and out through tight spaces; the space under a door or the slightly opened zipper of a bag

Can be heard chuckling to themselves while they tangle your cables, saying things like “hehe”, “tangle tangle tangle”, and “oh this one won’t come undone, no sir”

WEAKNESSES:

Proper organization and care for your cables, wires, and chords

Cable ties

Long exposure to sunlight

Harsh insults (very insecure)

Introducing: the Stanford Font

After many hours of tedious work, I can finally share with you my recreation of Ford’s handwriting in Journal 3!

Have you ever wanted to be able to make your own Journal entries and make them look authentic? Perhaps you just want to write “I love you” in Ford’s beautiful, sweeping lettering? Now you can!

It’s in no way perfect, mainly due to my complete lack of font-creating experience, but I did my best to make it as accurate to the Journal as possible! Below is a quote from the page labeled “July 18th”:

REMADE MY BILL FONT!!

so a while ago i made a font for bills handwriting from the journal, but i wasnt quite satisfied with it because the brush i used was different from whatever his pages/notes were originally written with. BUT i found a new brush in firealpaca that works better + i just redid some letters to make them more accurate. here’s a comparison with the previous font:

as with the last one i am using a free website so some symbols are missing, but the important stuff is there!! obviously you can use whichever one you like but i think this one is more accurate and is a bit more fun (:

Journal 3′s Ciphers Decoded: Fordese Cipher(s)!

More Journal 3 decoding!

This cipher, which is called “Fordese”, is what I’ll be decoding today!

As you can see, it’s a substitution “A=_” cipher, like Bill’s!

Using the key, I’ve had a lot of fun deciphering these messages. Note that I don’t have the special blacklight version, so there may be some extra in it that I can’t decipher.

I’m sure someone’s already done this, but I wanted to try my hand.

Here’s what I’ve been able to decipher. I’ll include the page they’re on and what they say, starting from the beginning. Apostrophes will be added to make some things easier to read, but they do not appear in the original messages. Other punctuation will be omitted, so brace yourselves for run on sentences.

He does write a message in a similar cipher!

I have made a perpetual calendar I still need to add an arrow at the top to point at the current moon phase, there are days for the days of the week as well as days for when the moon phases are

I'm saying this from a place of genuine care: if you are seeing ghosts or shadows or having nightmares... and sageing, eggshells, Crystal's, and psychics arent cutting it..

Please.. please... check for things like gas leaks, water damage, vermin. I'm not saying your house isnt haunted, I'm just saying that carbon monoxide poisoning looks a LOT like being haunted.

So idk if this is like a common thing or not but ever since I was little theres been these shadow children that tend to come out at night in my house. If it's dark enpugh they will follow me around, hiding at the edges of doorways and walls, get as close as the possibly can, pawing at the doorway and just barely umable to reach me.

I saw them again tonight but in larger numbers than I've noticed in many years. I tried using some basic magic on them to get them to back off, but it didn't work. However the didn't dare step in my room where my main wards are set up! In my youth they'd claw at the edge of the bed.

Any ideas as to what this is/could be??

Journal 3′s “Bill’s Notes” Deciphered

In Journal 3, Bill uses a unique cipher (just a simple substitution “A=_” code) throughout. There’s a key in the book itself made by Stanford after he realizes that Bill has been the one writing them. 

Using the key, I’ve had a lot of fun deciphering Bill’s messages. Note that I don’t have the special blacklight version, so there may be some extra in it that I can’t decipher.

That’s all I can find from Bill (in his cipher, at least!)

I went grocery shopping today! :D Just a few things, not a whole lot of walking but definitely some! And it’s a damn good thing I did bc they had Journal 3??? for just 15$??? and I fucking had enough for it!!! So now I have a new book and I got out of the house!

Only downside is that I am fatigued! I ended up staying awake all night (though I was in bed, resting, not online, just… layin’ there.) and I’m literally running on a cup and a half of coffee and it is wearing off. I’m hoping I can crash this evening and get my sleep sched in order again. Either that or I’ll end up sleeping all night tonight and then all day tomorrow. Ehn.

I’m too happy to have found Journal 3 to feel the full brunt of the fatigue! My legs honestly feel fine, it’s just my back is a little sore. I’ve taken meds to deal with it! I’m taking care of myself in a very blissful sleep deprived manner. I want to kiss Stanford Pines on the mouth.

Journal 3 will look SO PERFECT next to my Spiderwick’s Field Guide and oh ho ho all I need is a goddamn bookshelf bitches this cryptidcore hoe is fucking slaying and working and yes good true haha I’m so fucking sexy. My 12 year old self would be SEETHING in jealousy.

So... Aurebesh. From Star Wars. I didn’t even really like Star Wars that much, but one of my friends accidentally got me infatuated with Cad Bane. So I’ve gained a new fictional husband and a new motivation to learn Aurebesh!

This was just practice. It looks better in marker than it does in pen or pencil, simply because the lines are bigger. Not perfect but it’s legible and that’s what matters to me.

I misspelled a word at the bottom, putting Vev instead of Usk. Hvman I guess lmao Grek and Usk are also really fucking difficult to tell apart, but I’m working on it. I’m also struggling to write Osk, as you can see.
