Laters, Baby: Chapter 14
Read Chapter 13 Here
Word Count: 1,343
Pairing: Winchester!Sister x Lucifer
Warnings: language, fluff, angst
A/N: Sorry I’ve been so spotty with updates but here’s chapter 14! Let me know what you think and if you’d like to be tagged!
Laters, Baby Masterlist
In less time than it took you to blink, you were away from the wrecked Impala and in a swanky hotel room. You stepped out of Lucifer’s arms and up to the large window that took up most of one wall.
Opening the curtains, you gasped, “Venice? You poofed us to Venice?”
Lucifer shrugged, “It’s regarded as one of the most romantic cities in the world. And Paris just seemed so cliché.”
You laughed to yourself as you looked out over the canals that ran through the city. It was beautiful, the sun just beginning to rise. The view was vastly different than the sight of mangled metal you had left behind on that pitch-black road in Kansas.
A small sigh left your lips, not going unnoticed by the fallen angel standing behind you. “What is it?”
You turned to face him, “Is this really the way to do this, Lucifer?”
He looked at you confused, “What do you mean?”
“Well,” you sighed again as you searched for the words, “maybe we should have done this the normal way? The human way? You know, dating and lame dinners and movies. The getting to know you phase that’s probably important. I mean, you know nothing about me except my profession, my family, and that I’m your soulmate. And you hate two out of the three of those things!”
“Hey, I don’t hate you being a hunter. It was... inconvenient at best. Same with your brothers,” he said as he crossed his arms.
“You tried to kill me! Several times!”
“Never directly!” He scoffed, “I never physically met you and, technically, somewhat attempted to kill you until we met that day in that warehouse.”
You squeezed the bridge of your nose. While you felt immensely better since being in Lucifer’s presence, the weight of the situation was beginning to settle squarely on your shoulders.
“Listen to me,” he grabbed you by the arms and sat you next to him on the bed, “This,” he pointed between himself and you, “is meant to be. I mean, come on, it’s literally cosmic. Remember when I told you about the connection? When we do that, I will know everything I need to.”
“I know that, Lucifer. But-”
“Shhh, my darling. Let’s not think about it now. Let us just enjoy this beautiful city and being near each other again. I’m sure you had your fair share of uncomfortable moments while we were apart.” He laid on his side on one side of the bed while you did the same on the other, facing him.
“I got a migraine so bad my eye bled.”
He brushed the hair from your eyes, “My sweet angel. Hopefully your brothers will learn their lesson from that. You belong here with me, forever.”
----------
“Dean didn’t you learn your lesson last time? If we take Y/N away from him, it’s gonna do something awful to her. Maybe even kill her this time.”
“Apparently not! We need to get her away from him. I’m telling you, there’s no way Lucifer just up and accepts his soulmate is a human. The only reason he’s doing this right now is because once the connection is...” he paused as he shuddered at the thought of his sister with the devil, “well, you know, connected, he’s gonna be even more powerful. After that? He may not need her anymore.”
Sam sighed, “Alright, I see your point. But how are we supposed to find her? I mean they could be anywhere.”
“Not anywhere.” Castiel piped up from his place in the corner where he had been standing for the last five minutes with his eyes shut. “I’ve been scouring the planet for your sister and, while I cannot pinpoint her directly, she is in fact on Earth but no longer in the United States. Lucifer is cloaking their location but I can sense their general area, and I believe they are somewhere in Southern Europe.”
“Southern Europe? Seriously?” Dean scoffed and rolled his eyes.
“Can you at least narrow it down to a country?” Sam asked hopefully.
Castiel shut his eyes and was silent for a moment. He grimaced as he attempted to fight his way through Lucifer’s warding, “Italy I think.”
“Italy? Seriously??” Dean repeated his sentiment.
Sam shrugged, “It makes sense if you think about it. They’re soulmates and I’m assuming Lucifer wants to take her somewhere to complete the connection, so most likely something... romantic.” He cringed as he said the word, “Some of the cities in Italy are considered to be the most romantic places in the world.”
“I’m gonna throw up.” Dean placed a fist to his chest as he sat down on the couch in the study. After the incident with the Impala, Cas poofed them back to Bobby’s, who in turn went to tow the beloved car back to the scrapyard.
“Come on Dean, be serious. I don’t want to think about this anymore than you do but this is the situation and we have to deal with it.”
“I know Sam, but what are we supposed to do?”
“Go get her back, that’s what.” The men looked up as Bobby chose that moment to walk into the study.
Dean grimaced, “How’s the car?”
Bobby sighed, “Let’s have you be pissed at one thing at a time.”
Dean swore and ran a hand down his face, “Could this night get any worse?”
“I mean, yeah. We know Y/N’s alive boys. All we gotta do is figure out a way to get her back.”
Dean scoffed, “Yeah, no problem, just waltz in and take her back from the Devil.”
“First, we have to find out where she is. That’s the main objective right now. After that, we can try to figure out a plan to get her back that doesn’t result in all of our deaths,” Sam huffed a laugh.
“It will not be easy. As soulmates, Lucifer will do anything to keep Y/N in his presence. Especially if the connection has not been completed; that amount of power to be gained will be too much for my brother to resist.”
“Y/N soulmates with the Devil, I still can’t believe it. I also can’t believe you kept her parentage a secret from me for so long. And from her. I oughta smack you, boy.”
Dean sighed, “Dad asked me not to Bobby. And then when Dad split and I went to get them from Stanford, we had more important things to do. I should’ve told them after we knew Dad was okay, but I just kept putting it off. And then Dad died and I just didn’t want to at that point.”
“John should’ve told her a long time ago, not put it on you. Like he did with everything else,” Bobby grumbled. John was dead and the man still managed to piss him off. “Still, Lucifer’s soulmate bein’ left with the father of both holy vessel’s? Hell of a coincidence.”
“Y/N believes it is not a coincidence. She theorizes that she was meant to be left with John. That the soulmate to the Devil along with both holy vessels together had a chance of stopping the apocalypse,” Castiel stated.
Bobby shrugged, “Honestly it’s the only thing that makes a lick’a sense.”
“No Bobby! This is not fate! This is just these dick angels screwing with us again. We’re going to go get her before they complete the connection.”
“How Dean? All we know is that they’re in Italy, and that’s a big if considering both Y/N and Lucifer are warded in some way. Even if they ARE in Italy, how the hell are we going to find her? We can’t search a whole country.” Sam stated matter-of-factly.
“Obviously. What we can do is find a way to find out exactly where she is and then, hopefully, find a way to distract Lucifer long enough to get her out. And then I’m never letting her out of my sight.” Dean stood and clapped his brother on the shoulder, “Let’s go find our sister, Sam.”

“Y/N!”
You heard a muffled version of your name being called, where was it coming from? Slowly, you opened your eyes and blinked several times. As you looked around you, you couldn’t process what was happening. All you knew in that moment was that your ears were ringing something fierce and your whole body hurt.
“Y/N!!”
The force of the yelling of your name caused your mind to clear, allowing you to evaluate the situation around you. You looked to your left, finding Sam unconscious next to you with blood running down his face. Looking to your right, you saw the smashed in passenger side of the Impala. Your first thought was, Dean is gonna be pissed.
Dean.
You looked to the driver’s seat to see Dean looking back at you. Leaning against the door, he was the only one conscious besides you.
“Fuck, finally. Are you alright?”
You mentally took stock of your body, everything sore but nothing hurting until you got to your right leg. As you tried to move it, you let out a yelp.
“Ah! Shit, fuck, I think my leg is broken. And my wrist is still messed up.” You took a deep breath and leaned back against the seat, looking back at your brother, “What about you? Are you alright?”
Dean sighed, “I’m fine. I hit my head and I think I may have sprained my wrist. We just need Gigantor to wake up now.”
You both looked at Sam who was still unconscious, “Think he’s alright?” you asked.
“He’s got a thick skull; he should be fine.” Dean shrugged and let out a small laugh.
“Screw you, Dean.”
You both turned to see Sam finally starting to sit up. He let out a small groan and put a hand against his head, blood coating it when he pulled it away.
“So, someone wrecked the Impala again?” He asked as he checked a cut on your forehead, you pushing him away so you could check his.
Dean’s face immediately turned red, “Whenever I find this asshole it’s gonna be a long, painful death.”
In the moment after Dean stopped talking, you heard something. You turned your head towards the crashed side of the car.
“What is it?” Sam asked in a low voice.
“Shh.”
In the silence, you heard people talking outside the car but couldn’t make out the words. But they were getting closer.
“Go, grab her. I’ll take care of the brothers,” you heard a muffled male voice say.
“Damn,” you swore as you knew there was no escaping this situation.
“What?” asked Dean.
“Demons. They’re here for me.” You told your brothers, causing Sam to sigh and Dean to swear.
“No way. They aren’t taking you.” Dean tried to get to you in the backseat but with his injuries, it was impossible.
At that moment the backside passenger door was ripped off, revealing a dark-haired man and a blonde woman. Their eyes flashed black, confirming your suspicion of them being demons.
“Time to go princess,” the man said in a low baritone.
You sneered at him, “One, fuck you. Two, I can’t go anywhere. My leg’s broken.”
“That sounds like a you problem, Winchester,” the woman quipped.
“Hey bitch.” You turned to see Dean holding a container of holy water, which was your cue to duck. He flung holy water onto the demons causing them to hiss and step away from the Impala.
“Nice band-aid Dean but that’s not really a permanent solution.”
“Hey at least it was something! They aren’t taking you Y/N! We got plenty of holy water to hold out until Bobby comes, I sent him a text.”
“Oh god you texted Bobby, we’re doomed,” you let out a small laugh at the fact you were mostly right; you didn’t think Bobby even knew how to send a text.
“Nice one, Dean-o. But I don’t think your fancy water will work on me.”
You all turned to see Lucifer occupying the space his demons had vacated moments before. Dean and Sam’s eyes were dinner plates, shocked at Lucifer’s brazen actions. But you, you were dealing with the rush of emotions that hit you once you saw him.
Fear, longing, attraction. It almost felt like a force was pulling the two of you together. It took a great deal of your willpower not to jump into the archangel’s arms and allow him to whisk you away.
Lucifer turned towards you and met your eyes, “Good to see you again, angel.” He said with a smirk.
“Hi Lucifer,” you deadpanned, trying to ignore not only the pain in your leg, but also the awkwardness of the situation.
“Oh angel, always broken in some way when I find you.”
“Seriously? Your demons are the ones who hurt her! Twice!” Dean yelled at the devil.
Lucifer turned to Dean as his eyes flashed red, “I’m sorry was I talking to you? No, I was not. Now if you don’t mind Winchester’s, your sister will be coming with me now.”
Lucifer stuck a hand toward you, gesturing for you to take it. You felt Sam squirm as he attempted to get closer to stop you. Turning to both your brothers, you gave them soft smiles. “I love you both, and hopefully I’ll see you soon.”
A single tear streaked down your face as you realized there was a very real possibility you’d never see them again. But you had to go with him. Not only would the connection not let you leave without him this time, but you knew if you tried there was a likelihood he’d take out his frustrations on your brothers.
“No. CAS!” Dean yelled as you took Lucifer’s hand, feeling the familiar sensation of his grace throughout your body as you did. It healed every wound you had as you stepped out of the crushed Impala.
There was a sound of fluttering wings that came from behind you, and as you turned you saw Castiel by the driver’s side door. He began to help Dean who, after being healed, demanded the angel save you.
Cas looked from Dean and met your gaze. You sent him a small prayer, Take care of them for me.
With a sigh, Cas nodded and ignored Dean’s order and began to help Sam. When they both were healed, they stepped out of the car, all turning to face you. You were standing next to the devil, his arm looped around your shoulders. Without them even having to verbalize it, you knew this sight crushed your brothers.
“Please, Lucifer don’t do this,” Sam pleaded.
“Sorry boys, she’s mine. I don’t want you disrupting us again either.” He raised his hand to snap his fingers and do God knows what but you stopped him with your hand on top of his.
“No, please. Don’t hurt them. I know you’re angry but they won’t separate us again. Please.” Lucifer took in your pleading look and lowered his hand, nodding. He’d go to the ends of the Earth if you asked, so sparing your brothers was no big deal.
Lucifer turned to the three men, “Laters, Losechesters.” And with a snap, you both were gone.
Dean swallowed hard and looked down, trying to stop the tears the felt coming. He’d failed you, again. Sam’s head just dropped with the weight of not only your absence, but the guilt of letting it happen. They turned to Cas, almost pleading with the angel over what to do next.
Castiel sighed, “There is nothing we can do. She’s made her choice, now it is time we trust her to do the right thing.”

“Simple salt and burn my ass. Did Bobby do any research on this house before he gave us this case?” You complained as you sat at the motel table doing research while Dean cleaned his gun on the bed and Sam had just finished showering.
“Why, what’s up?” asked Sam as he approached you from behind drying his hair.
“This house was the site of a serial killing. A victim of the BTK killer was killed here, oh my god.”
“No way. Really?” Sam asked as he looked at the laptop over your shoulder.
“BTK? What the hell is that?” asked Dean as he slid a magazine into place.
“Seriously Dean? He’s one of the most famous serial killers in history; he killed at least 10 people. I learned about him in one of my classes at Stanford. BTK stands for bind, torture, kill. Guy still gives me the skeeves,” you shuddered.
“Shit really? And this is a victims house?” Dean asked as he walked toward the motel table.
“Yeah checks out. And the way the people have been being attacked lines up with the way the girl was attacked and killed,” answered Sam.
“So is it the victim or BTK?” Dean asked as he walked around the table and sat down, leaning back to reach the fridge and grab a round of beers for everyone.
“Well Rader, BTK, died in prison. So there’s no reason for him to be tied to that house. I’d say it’s definitely our girl,” you replied as you accepted the beer from Dean.
“This is going to be an interesting case,” Sam said with a sigh as he took the beer from Dean and sat down. “Haven’t had a good ghost hunt in a while.”
“It says here she’s buried in the town cemetery. So, Dean, you wanna go dig her up while Sam and I go to the house?” you asked as you shut the laptop.
“Why do I always get the dirty jobs?”
“You lied to Sam and me for over 25 years; I don’t want to hear you complain about anything I ask you to do for a very, very long time,” you batted your eyes at your eldest brother.
He nodded his head at you, “Touché, kid. Touché.”
------------ Later at the house, you and Sam made sure the place was empty. The previous occupants had fled after the last attack, leaving the home vacant. It was silent in the small house, until the ring of Sam’s phone caused both of you to jump.
Sam grabbed it and looked at the caller ID, “It’s Dean.” Flipping it open, he put it on speaker and answered. “Hey Dean, did you find the grave?”
You both heard heavy breathing on the other end of the line, “I’m getting too old for this shit.”
“You’re 30, Dean,” Sam rolled his eyes, “Did you burn the bones?”
“Yes I burned the bones,” he replied out of breath. “I just finished filling in the grave.”
Alright, Sam and I will sweep the house one last time so just get back here.”
“Super.” Dean rasped out before he hung up.
Sam flipped the phone closed and turned to face you, “Well, you take upstairs and I’ll take downstairs?”
“Meet back at the front door and then we can get the hell out of here in time to hit the bar.”
Sam rolled his eyes with a smile as you ran up the stairs. You looked through the bedrooms and, finding nothing, began to trudge back down the stairs. As you hit the second step on the staircase, you felt two hands in the small of your back and before you could react, they gave you a hard shove. With a scream, you tumbled down the stairs and landed at the bottom with a thump.
Sam came scrambling around the corner to the base of the stairs to see you groaning at the bottom. “Y/N!” He rushed to your side and breathed a sigh of relief to see you were still conscious. “Are you alright?”
“Just peachy, Sam. Not like I just fell down a damn flight of stairs or anything.” You rolled your eyes at your twin. Attempting to stand, you hissed and grimaced as you put weight on your right hand, “Ah! Son of a bitch! Goddammit I think I broke my wrist.”
Your brother grabbed your wrist to examine it and opened his mouth to speak but was cut off by the front door slamming open. You both turned expecting another ghostly encounter, only to see your older brother strut in waving his gun around.
Dean walked in and cleared the room before looking at his siblings on the floor, “I heard Y/N scream, what happened?”
Sam helped you stand as you answered, “Well, either our girl’s tied here some other way, or there’s something else in this house. Something pushed me down those stairs and now my goddamn wrist is broken.”
“I burned those bones, there’s no way that ghost is still here.”
“Then what else could be here?” Sam crossed his arms in frustration.
“Well I didn’t throw myself down the stairs. Something is here,” you groaned as you held your wrist and leaned on Sam to stay upright.
“Good observation, Winchester.”
All three of you turned to follow a British accent towards the staircase finding a tall, blonde man standing in the middle of them. As your eyes met his, he flashed his blue eyes onyx causing every Winchester in the room to let out a collective sigh.
“Seriously? I’m gonna kill Bobby. Simple salt and burn my ass,” you repeated your sentiment from earlier in the evening.
“Don’t blame your surly hunter friend, Winchester. Before I arrived it WAS just the spirit here.” The demon began to descend the stairs as he spoke, “No I’m here for a different reason all together.”
“What could you possibly want?” you yelled.
“You, Miss Winchester. You see, our Father has issued a bounty on you. Any demon that brings you back to him alive will be rewarded greatly, and I intend to be that demon.” His thin lips curled into a sickly smile.
“Like hell.” Dean fired the shotgun into the demon’s chest, causing him to fly backwards. “Time to go.” He grabbed your good wrist and pulled you through the front door, Sam pulling up the rear.
Suddenly, Sam got thrown by a force into the lawn.
“Sam!” you yelled. You and Dean turned to look back and saw the demon in the doorway.
Your brother put an arm protectively in front of you, “You aren’t taking her to Lucifer. Over my dead body.”
“That can be arranged.” The demon smiled, “Just give me the girl and no one gets hurt. For once no one gives a rat’s ass about the infamous Winchester brothers, just their whore sister who miraculously is the soulmate to the devil.”
“Hey!” You yelled at him. “Just because you’re a demon doesn’t give you license to be a dick.”
“No one talks to my sister like that.” Dean lifted the shotgun once more but with a wave of his hand, the demon flicked it out of his hands. With another wave, Dean was thrown away from you.
“Dean!” He and Sam were groaning in a heap on the lawn, leaving you alone with the demon on the sidewalk. You turned your attention to him, “I’m not going with you.”
“My dear, I don’t think you’ll have a choice. See, I’m a demon and you’re an injured, female hunter. Not exactly much of a fight,” he smirked. In a flash, he backhanded you across the face.
Your face turned to the side with the force. You looked at him wide eyed as you wiped the blood from the corner of your mouth, realizing he had a bit of a point. But you’d be damned if you went down without a fight. Bringing your leg up behind you, you grabbed Ruby’s demon knife out of your boot. You leaned forward and slashed, making contact with his arm.
“AH! You bitch! You’re lucky Lucifer wants you or I’d kill you right here.”
“Not if I kill you first you black eyed bastard.”
Fighting with your non-dominant hand was difficult, but you held your own. The demon got a few licks in, but he was no match for the knife. Dean yelled from the lawn, causing the demon to look away from you just long enough to make your move. With one swing, you brought your left hand around and plunged the demon knife into his chest, causing him to spark orange inside his vessel as he died.
The vessel collapsed on the ground as your brothers rose from it, making their way over to you. You bent over and pulled the knife from the man’s chest, the blade still smoking.
Sam got to you first, “You alright?” He grabbed your face to check the split lip and saw a bruise forming on your cheek.
“I’m fine Sam. I just need Bobby to set this stupid thing and I’ll be good as new.”
“Friggin’ demons man.” Dean growled as he made his way to the driver’s side of the Impala.
“My sentiments exactly. But Dean, Lucifer issued a bounty for me. Attacks like this are only going to get worse,” you slid into the backseat with your twin, him tending to your injuries.
“I know, kid. We’ll figure something out.”
Dean threw the car into drive and headed back to Sioux Falls. With a yelp from you, Sam set your wrist and wrapped it in a bandage from the first aid kit. You gave him a look of contempt as he did so since you A. weren’t expecting it and B. expected Bobby to do it when you got back.
“You better not have fucked that up, or I’ll re-break it on your jaw,” you smirked at your brother.
“Ha-Ha. You know it’s right; I wanted to get it set before it started to heal wrong.” He sighed, “What are you thinking Y/N/N? I can see your wheels turning.”
You sighed in return, “That I should just go to Lucifer like I planned. You and Dean are gonna get hurt soon and I don’t wanna risk it.” You replied to him lowly so Dean wouldn’t hear; he was pissed enough.
“You know that isn’t an option.”
“I know but-”
The screech of the impact of metal on metal interrupted you as another vehicle rammed into the passenger side of the Impala. The car flipped twice before landing right-side up on the side of the road, leaving all of the Winchester’s inside unconscious.

Laters, Baby Masterlist
“No.”
“What do you mean ‘no’?”
“I’m not going to help you summon Lucifer, Y/N. Not when your plan is to shut out your brothers and submit yourself to him fully.”
You huffed, “I thought you agreed that this was happening for a reason?”
“I do. But this is not the way to go about it. Your family is on the other side of that door and wants to help you. Let them.”
“HA!” You rolled your eyes and began pacing, “Family. That’s rich, Cas. According to Dean I have no family.”
Cas sighed, “Dean did not mean what he said in the way you interpreted it. He’s worried for you Y/N; Lucifer entered your subconscious and he believes he’s using the connection and its effects to manipulate you.”
You looked at him confused, “How do you know all of that?”
“The Winchesters are my charges; it is my duty to watch over and protect you all. I was coming to speak to you all about Lucifer and I showed up when you awoke. I decided to keep my presence hidden as you took care of family business.”
You sighed, “What am I supposed to do?” You looked down and rubbed your temples; everything from the past hour was giving you a migraine.
“I am not sure. We should bring back your brothers and Bobby so we can discuss it. While this is your life, you are not the only person who it will impact.”
“I know that Cas,” you grimaced and rubbed your forehead; your head was really starting to hurt. “I just want to do what’s best for my brothers, the world, and, well, myself.”
“I understand. We will figure it out, Y/N. Please, allow me to fetch Sam, Dean, and Bobby. All of us together can determine the best solution.”
You heard what Cas had said but were having a hard time focusing on the angel in front of you, feeling like you couldn’t get your eyes to focus on one spot for too long. It caused the headache to move back to your temples and behind your eyes, and you began holding the sides of your head to try to get it to stop.
Cas tilted his head and walked towards you, “What’s happening? What’s wrong?”
You grimaced, “Ah, I don’t know. My head has been hurting since I woke up and it’s starting to get worse.”
Cas moved right in front of you and lifted your chin with his finger, making you look up at him. When you finally met his gaze, his demeanor immediately shifted at what he saw. He waved his hand at the door and moved the dresser that had been shoved in front of it.
“SAM! DEAN! GET IN HERE!” Castiel bellowed through the newly opened door.
Three pairs of boots could be heard running through the house and up the stairs. When Sam, Dean, and Bobby all arrived in the room, all they saw was your back with Castiel standing in front of you cupping your face.
“What is it? What’s wrong?” asked Dean.
“You need to see this.”
Cas moved from in front of you to allow the three men to take his place. When they did, they were speechless. It was obvious you were in pain from the expression on your face, but that wasn’t what bothered them.
It was the trail of blood leaking from your right eye.
“What the hell? Y/N/N are you alright?” Sam moved forward to look more closely at your face.
You took a shaky breath, “My head really hurts, Sammy. What’s happening?”
Sam brought you into his arms and turned to look at his brother, who in turn looked to Castiel for answers. “Well?”
“The blood isn’t coming from any injury that I can sense. The headache and the bleeding are not caused by any physical ailment. It’s the connection. She’s been away from him for over 24 hours and it must be affecting her more than we originally believed. Lucifer visiting her in her subconscious I’m sure did not improve things.”
“Why were you in here in the first place?” Dean skeptically asked the angel.
“She called for me. She wants me to help her summon Lucifer. Originally, I vetoed that idea without your input, but now I’m not seeing many other options. This connective migraine could subside on its own...”
“Or?” questioned Sam.
“Or it could persist until she is reunited with Lucifer. Possibly get worse.”
“What about Lucifer? If she’s like this, shouldn’t he be feelin’ the hurt downstairs too?” Bobby moved to wipe the blood from your face; it was killing him to see you hurt like this. The Winchester’s were basically his own kids, but he was especially protective of you.
“Most likely, though I’m sure it’s not to this degree. Lucifer’s human vessel will feel the physical pain but it will be more irritating than anything. The longing is what will affect him the most.”
It was quiet for a few moments as what was happening sunk in. The boys looked at each other in silent conversation both saying the same thing: they had no idea what the fuck to do.
Sam looked down to the shaking form in his arms. Another trail of blood was streaming down your face and it was obvious you were still in pain. He looked to Bobby, “What do we do, Bobby?”
The elder hunter sighed, “Do I look like a devil’s soulmate handbook to you? I have no idea what we should do. Honestly, the only person we should be talking to about this decision is her. This is her life; she’s the one that will have to deal with the pain. It should be her decision, not ours.”
“We can’t let her run off with Lucifer, Bobby. There’s no way he’ll just turn over a new leaf for her. We, we can fix this. We can find a way to put him back in the cage without hurting her.” Dean was pacing at this point.
“That would be inadvisable, Dean. If you were to return Lucifer to his cage in Hell now that the connection has begun, you could very well kill your sister.” Dean ran his fingers through his hair pulling slightly. What the hell were they supposed to do?
“Wait, I’m starting to feel better.” You emerged from Sam’s arms and walked to stand in the middle of the four men. “The headache is subsiding.”
“You aren’t bleeding anymore either.” Sam pointed out.
You put your hand up to your eye to see that Sam was right. Whatever just happened was not pleasant, and you would prefer if it didn’t happen again.
“So what do we do now? What’s our next move?” Dean asked the angel.
You knew what you thought you should do, but Cas was right, everyone needed to weigh in on this.
The angel sighed, “Truthfully, I am not sure. Part of me believes we should go with Y/N’s original plan to avoid another of these episodes. But the other knows what my brother is capable of and how his mind works; we should come up with a plan. You three should continue hunting as you normally do, I shall look for ideas for what to do next.” With a whoosh, the angel was gone.
“So what? We just go hunting like normal and pray you don’t have another episode in the middle of it? Yeah, that’s a great idea.” Dean scoffed and walked to the window. Like hell he was risking that.
“I’m fine Dean. This is our job and we have to do it. Let’s go downstairs and look for a case. Honestly going on an actual hunt sounds good to me right now, I can’t think about all of this for another second or I’m gonna go insane,” you said with a small laugh.
“I think you already are insane! You’re in no shape to hunt,” yelled Dean.
“I hate to agree with Dean Y/N, but I think he’s right,” said Sam.
You scoffed at your brothers and went to argue with them but were interrupted by Bobby, “I got word of a salt and burn over in Wichita. Should be simple, ‘specially with the three of ya. Go take care of that and see how she does and go from there; ya can’t just stop hunting. You’d go insane and you’d drive me insane by staying here.”
You looked at your brothers pointedly, “Well?” you asked crossing your arms.
Sam looked at Dean expectantly and the eldest Winchester sighed, “Fine. We’ll go on this salt and burn. But I swear on everything that is holy Y/N if you even sniffle during this hunt I’m bringing you back here to Bobby. And you have to tell us if anything hinky or Lucifer-ish happens. Capiche?”
You rolled your eyes but nodded, holding up your three middle fingers, “Scout’s honor.”
Dean sighed, “Fine, let’s roll out.”
You and Sam left the room to prepare for the hunt while Dean hung back in the bedroom with Bobby. The eldest Winchester sighed once more and ran a hand down his face. This was a bad idea.
“It’ll be alright, boy. If she says she’s fine, then she’s fine. Don’t go all overprotective on your sister or she’ll resent you and then Lucifer will have an even bigger chance of getting her.”
“I hope you’re right Bobby, I really hope you’re right.”

Later’s, Baby Masterlist
You were pleasantly surprised that, although you had slept in Hell and on the way here, you felt tired almost as soon as your head hit the pillow. You had gotten more sleep in the last 24 hours alone than all three Winchesters combined got in a week. Though, with everything that had happened, could anyone really blame you?
You snuggled deeply into the sheets of the bed and took a deep breath. Flipping over to your other side, you pulled the silk sheets up to your... Silk sheets? You opened your eyes to see red silk sheets in place of the white cotton ones that had been there before. What the hell? you thought to yourself. You were facing the door of the bedroom at Bobby’s house so you hadn’t left, what was going on? You returned to your left side and gasped as you were met with a pair of deep blue eyes.
“I know you said red was cliché, but these are so much more comfortable than the drab that was on here before, aren’t they?”
You furrowed your eyebrows, “Lucifer?”
“In the flesh. Well, sort of.”
“But, how? How’d you find-” you paused and let out a small laugh, “I’m dreaming, aren’t I?”
“‘fraid so doll. I know you’re disappointed you don’t get all this in person but since my annoying little bro carved that warding into all of your ribs, I can’t find you physically. This is the only way we can talk.”
“Talk about what? Are you finally going to tell me what the hell is going on?”
Lucifer sat up against the headboard and you followed suit. He took a deep breath and pushed a piece of hair behind your ear. It may have only been a dream, but it felt so incredibly real to you; you felt his hand touch your face and the chill that went down your spine as a result.
“I suppose it’s only fair that you know as much as I do. This involves you too.” He sighed and rose from the bed, beginning to pace in front of it. “You know, this whole thing is just as weird for me as it is for you. You’re... human. Your whole race is broken, flawed. And for some Dad-forsaken reason, I can’t bring myself to kill you. I’m developing feelings. It’s terrible.”
“Okay this is getting a little insulting...”
“But it’s not terrible, that’s the thing. I like it. I like you. I was there when Father created the soulmate connection for humans. It was beautiful, one of the only things I envied of your kind. It’s incredibly rare, but deep and powerful when it happens.” He moved to sit back beside you on the bed. “Why Father brought you to me, I am unsure, but I am glad he did. I am eager to complete the connection, because I know that once we do we will be incredible together. Powerful.”
“Complete the connection? What do you mean? And powerful? Lucifer I’m so lost right now.”
He caressed your face, “Right now, we are only in the beginning stages of the connection. I miss you, but it’s tolerable. After we complete the connection, we will truly become soulmates. Our souls will intertwine and become one. The mixture of your humanity and my grace as a result will make us extremely powerful, BOTH of us.”
“How do we complete the connection?”
Lucifer smirked, “That’s the fun part. I’ve never had intercourse with a human, but from what I’ve seen it looks extremely enjoyable.”
“Woah, woah, wait. What?? Okay, number one; please don’t call it intercourse. Number two; we complete the connection by having sex? Seriously??”
“Yes, angel. And when we do we will be inseparable. You will receive some of my grace, and I will receive some of your humanity, making us two of the most powerful beings in existence.”
“This...this is insane.” You leaned back and rubbed your temples.
“Trust me, I know. It won’t happen immediately, I’m not a monster.”
“You’re literally the devil.”
“Yes, but like I said, I’m nothing if not one for the classics. All that old school romance stuff looks fun. Plus, it’s a rule of the connection, it cannot be forced in any way.”
You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding. For some reason you trusted Lucifer, but knowing those things put you more at ease regardless. You were lost in your own head when Lucifer suddenly stood, “I have to go.”
You stood as well, “Wait what? Why? Lucifer, I have so many questions.”
He walked towards you and brought you into his arms. It was strange; you kept forgetting this was a dream because everything felt so real. You could feel his cool arms around you and how safe you felt in them; you could smell him, although you couldn’t place it, as it was something completely Lucifer. You only knew two things in that moment: how much you missed Lucifer and how much you wanted him to kiss you right now. Both of those things were equally amazing and surprising to you.
“You will wake soon. Come find me out there. Find Castiel, he will tell you the proper way to summon me. Knowing him, he is somewhat supportive of this since it’s Dad’s plan and will help you. The pain of the separation will get worse the longer we’re apart, so try to hurry,” he said with a smirk.
He looked down and cupped your face in both of his hands. You swore your heart stopped; he was going to kiss you. He leaned in slowly and you closed your eyes, waiting for his cool lips to meet yours and...
You woke up abruptly, shooting up into a sitting position with a gasp. You sat forward so suddenly you almost knocked foreheads with Sam who was sitting next to you on the bed. Thankfully he was able to scoot back in time to avoid the collision, but you woke up so abruptly that even Dean and Bobby, who were standing at the foot of the bed, took a step back as well.
You were sitting there breathing heavily for a few seconds before Sam broke the silence, “Y/N, what the hell just happened?”
Turning to look at your twin, you tried to come up with a deflection on the fly, “What do you mean? I took a nap and had a nightmare, not exactly a new occurrence.”
Sam turned to look at the two men at the foot of the bed before turning back to his sister, “Y/N/N we’ve been trying to wake you up for over an hour, nothing’s worked. When we finally gave up you woke up on your own.” He handed you the glass of water he’d placed on the bedside table when he first came upstairs.
“Yeah, so you wanna try the truth this time?” Dean snapped, folding his arms.
After taking a long drink, you dropped your head into your hands; everything that was going on your life was starting to give you a migraine. The last thing you wanted to tell your family was that you spent your time in dreamland with Lucifer. You rubbed at your temples while contemplating on how to explain what had happened, reluctantly deciding on the truth.
You looked to your family and began, “I came up here to lay down and must’ve fallen asleep because when I rolled over, Lucifer was there.”
Dean cursed and ran a hand over his face, but Bobby was confused. “I don’t understand. How exactly did that happen?”
“Angels can enter our subconscious mind while we’re dreaming. Cas has done it to Dean before and Lucifer did it to me soon after he took Nick as a vessel. Y/N, what did he say to you?”
“He explained the soulmate connection; what it takes to complete it and what will happen afterwards.”
“Yeah you complete it and you’re like, officially soulmates. Being separated from you wouldn’t weaken him,” explained Sam.
You looked at Sam and sighed, “That’s part of it.”
Dean walked forward, “Wait, part?? What the hell else is there? Cas only told us about the completing part.”
You looked at your brother incredulously, “Good to know you knew more about this thing that affects me than I did,” you fidgeted with your hands and took a deep breath. Telling your brothers the next part was not going to be easy, you partly expected Dean to actually explode.
“According to Lucifer, we complete the bond by, well, having sex,” you continued, causing everyone in the room to cringe at your statement. “But after that, apparently something happens, something mystical. He said that once the bond is completed, I will receive some of his grace and he’ll receive some of my humanity, causing us to become two of the most powerful beings in all of creation.”
You looked up from your fidgeting hands to see three pairs of wide eyes staring back at you. It wasn’t really surprising; you did just drop a huge bomb in their lap. You were having trouble believing it yourself.
Dean suddenly swiped the books that were on the desk across the room onto the floor. You flinched at the sudden outburst. It wasn’t too surprising though; you knew Dean would be pissed.
“Hey, some of them books are one of a kind boy. I know you ain’t happy but if you ruin one of them books, I’ll put a boot in yer ass.” Bobby moved to pick up some of the books off of the floor, “I was buildin’ up a collection of books on archangels and this is what I got so far. How about instead of getting all hot and bothered, we do some research and try to find out what to do about this?”
Before anyone could move, Dean exploded. He turned to you, looking madder than you had ever seen him. “How are you so calm?? You just dropped that giant bomb on us so nonchalantly. Are you, like, okay with this or something?”
You stood from the bed, “Of course I’m not okay with this Dean! I don’t think any of us are okay with anything that has happened in the past year. But after talking to him, I think that I am Lucifer’s main focus, not the apocalypse. If we become as powerful as he says we will, we can strengthen Nick and he won’t need to take Sam as a vessel!
“And I’m human! Don’t you think maybe loving and being with a human will cause him to maybe not hate us as a species so much? Angels are real, Dean, which means God is real. I know this is a concept that both of us have struggled to come to terms with, but now? I don’t think we have a choice. He apparently made me for Lucifer and I can feel it. It’s not something we can just ignore and hope goes away. Being away from him much longer is going to start to be physically painful. We’re running out of options.”
Dean’s face was stone; he always was hard to read. You couldn’t tell what was running through his mind and you were worried. Bobby and Sam were silent near the door, watching the scene unfold before them. They had learned long ago to not get in between a Dean-Y/N fight; it was how Sam earned his first black eye as a kid.
The stone face was beginning to turn red, “No. No we are not out of options. Our original plan could still work. We can still shove the Devil back in the box!”
“And how do you think that would affect me, huh? I can already feel how being away from him is affecting me. Imagine if we put him back in the cage, what would happen to me? We’re Winchester’s, this is apparently our destiny!”
Dean scoffed, “Destiny?? God can take destiny and shove it right up his ass. You shouldn’t have any part in this, Y/N. I should’ve made you stay at Stanford when Dad went missing. This isn’t your fight; you aren’t even really a Winchester.”
“DEAN!”
You barely heard Sam’s exclamation. Your eyes went wide and your chest tightened as your worst fear became reality right in front of you. Ever since you found out you weren’t really their sister this was your greatest fear, that they’d drop you like yesterday’s newspaper.
The room was silent as they awaited your reaction. A single tear slipped down your face as you finally met Dean’s gaze again.
“Get out,” you said quietly.
You were too calm. It would’ve been better if you had started screaming at him. Bobby started herding Dean towards the door while Sam remained in the corner of the room. Dean had immediately regretted what he’d said as soon as it slipped past his lips. He turned and paused in the doorway, “Y/N/N-”
“I SAID GET OUT!” You grabbed the glass of water from the bedside table and launched it towards your brother. It impacted on the wall near his head, Dean ducking out of the doorway in the nick of time.
You were breathing heavily as the door closed. You walked up and leaned your forehead against it, tears streaming down your face when a hand landed on your shoulder. Spinning around you came face to face with Sam, who you had forgotten was still in the room.
“Please, just go Sam.”
“Dean didn’t mean that, Y/N. He’s just upset and worried. You ARE a Winchester, no matter if John and Mary are your parents or not. Obviously, you were meant to be in our family and as Bobby always says, family don’t end with blood.”
You smiled at your twin who returned it. In that moment you knew what you were going to do about the situation at hand. But you knew you couldn’t without saying something to Sam.
“Sam, you’re the best twin any girl could ever ask for. You’ve been my best friend my whole life and you were there for me through everything. I love you, Sam. So much. But you can’t be there for me through this. I’m sorry.”
“I love you too, Y/N/N. What’s going on? What’re you sorry for?”
“For this.” You opened the door and shoved your brother through, closing and locking it after he was out. To ensure your twin’s six-foot-four frame wouldn’t bust through, you shoved the dresser in front of it as well.
Standing there for a second, you just listened to Sam bang on the door, calling for you and then for Dean and Bobby. You knew you didn’t have much time before the three of them would be able to get the door open.
You closed your eyes and for a minute the room was bathed in silence. When you opened them again, you waited expectantly. Suddenly, there was a whoosh sound and you turned to the figure that had appeared in front of the window.
“Y/N, your brothers are on the other side of that door and very upset. What is happening? Why have you barricaded yourself from them and called me?” Cas squinted his eyes and tilted his head at you, a trait you had always found endearing.
“I need help Cas and I know you’re the only one who will help me.”
“What is it that you need?”
You took a deep breath and took a step towards the angel, “I need you to help me summon Lucifer.”

Laters, Baby Masterlist
“Bobby’s gonna be pissed, Dean.”
“Yeah, well, when is he not pissed at most of the things we do? Once we explain everything he should be, less pissed.”
You had fallen asleep on the long ride to Sioux Falls, and the bumpy road into the scrapyard had woken you up. The small sense of calm you had from sleep was abruptly ripped away as you realized you were still handcuffed to the car.
“Dammit Dean let me go!”
Your older brother just sighed, “Will you stop yelling? I’m right here.”
As the Impala rolled to a stop, you watched as both of your brothers exited the car. You waited expectantly for Dean to come around and let you out. He did not.
“Dean what the hell?! Let me-”
Your protests were cut off as he slammed his door shut, marching his way up to the porch. Sam shot you a sympathetic look and followed.
Sam reached the door right as Bobby pulled it open. The old hunter looked at the two boys, “What’d you two idjit’s get into this time? And where’s your sister?”
Dean pushed past him into the house, “Funnily enough it wasn’t us this time. Little sister out there is in deep.” He made his way to the kitchen, pulling a beer from the fridge before plopping down at the table.
“Dean,” Sam sighed at his brother as he moved past and stood near the entrance to the study. “Y/N didn’t do anything Bobby. You know how we thought she wasn’t involved in this apocalypse crap? Well, we were wrong.”
“Balls.” Bobby moved and grabbed his own beer from the fridge, sitting across from Dean at the table, “What the hell is her role in this crap?”
“Oh, you know, bride of Frankenstein,” Dean said sarcastically as he took a long pull from his bottle.
Bobby gave him a funny look before turning to Sam, “What’s stuck in his shorts?”
“Well, before that,” he said pointing to you outside, “Y/N and Dean were arguing over the fact that she’s… Lucifer’s soulmate.”
“SHE’S WHAT??” Bobby bellowed shooting up from his seat.
“Yeah, Cas confirmed it. They think that if she goes along with it, Lucifer may give up his apocalypse plans. If he learns to love Y/N, he can learn to love the rest of humanity as well. Dean doesn’t agree.”
Bobby turned to the window, “Why is she still in the car?”
Sam scoffed, “That would be Dean too. He was sick of arguing with her about it so he tossed her over his shoulder, threw her in the backseat, and then handcuffed her to the car.”
“Oh don’t act like I’m some kind of villain Sam. Y/N spent time with Lucifer and started the connection, which means she doesn’t think straight when it comes to him. She wasn’t going to come here and to the panic room willingly so I made transportation a little easier.”
Bobby glared at the eldest Winchester, “Just because you’re sick’a arguin’ with your sister, doesn’t give you the right to handcuff her to the car. I’m not gonna let you force her into the panic room neither. Now I’m gonna talk to her about this cup o’crazy, and then we can decide what to do next.” He turned to Sam, “Go get your sister.”
Sam walked over to his brother, hand held out expectantly. Dean rolled his eyes but stood, digging in his pocket before dropping the handcuff key into Sam’s waiting hand.
Dean turned back to Bobby to argue but was cut off, “She’s gonna kill you when she gets in here boy, and I might just let her. What the hell were you thinking?”
“All I was doing was protecting my family. There’s no way Lucifer is just going to stop looking for her. The best way to keep her safe was to bring her here to the panic room.”
“You had no right to handcuff her to the car, Dean.”
Dean went to argue but was interrupted as the front door flew open, an irate Y/N plowing through with Sam scrambling on her heels.
“YOU BASTARD!”
“Y/N I-”
“Shut up! I don’t even want to hear you speak right now. I’m so pissed I can’t even see straight. What the hell were you thinking?!”
“I was just trying to keep you safe, Y/N. You’re my little sister, it’s my job.”
Bobby sauntered over to where Sam was standing by the fridge, “Please tell me you took all her weapons?”
“Are you kidding? I did that before I even uncuffed her from the car,” Sam whispered back.
He apparently wasn’t quiet enough, “You better be happy he did Dean Winchester because I’ve spent hours HANDCUFFED TO THE FUCKING CAR thinking of all the ways I could kill you. What the hell gave you that right to do that?”
“The panic room is the safest place for you right now. Along with the scribbles on your ribs, you wouldn’t be able to be found by anything or anyone. I just want you safe Y/N/N.”
“And you thought that was the way to go about it? If you just would’ve suggested we go to Bobby’s and weren’t hellbent on locking me in the panic room, I would’ve just gone! No argument! But no, Dean’s way is the only way and you essentially kidnapped me instead.”
“I’m sorry, okay? It was the best idea I had at the time.”
You scoffed, “Oh like you thought not telling me about Dad for over 25 years was a good idea?”
The color drained from Dean’s face, “That’s not fair.”
“Yeah, well, none of this is fair to me.”
Bobby made his way between you and your older brother, “Alright, ya idjits, back to your corners. We have enough to deal with without you two killin’ each other.” He turned to you, “What were you talkin’ about? What about John?”
You scoffed and stomped into the study, “Oh come on Bobby, like you didn’t know. You were Dad’s best friend for a while, there’s no way he didn’t tell you!”
Bobby followed you looking completely confused, “Y/N/N, I got no idea what you’re talking about. But I’d be appreciative if you filled me in.”
A single tear slipped down your cheek and you sighed, not wanting to relive the worst moment of your life. But Bobby deserved to know. “I’m not a Winchester. I’m not John’s daughter or Sam and Dean’s sister. I’m just a kid who was ditched on a motel doorstep.”
Bobby plopped down in his desk chair in stunned silence, “That’s… that’s not possible. Look at you two, you’re twins! Anyone can see that!”
“She’s telling the truth Bobby. Don’t feel too bad though, we didn’t know til a couple days ago. Dad and Dean decided that was a fact Y/N and I didn’t need to know. Dad saved Y/N’s biological mom on a hunt where her husband was killed. She didn’t want to raise a baby alone so she left her on Dad’s doorstep. He decided to keep her and, since her birthday was only a few days off, went with the story of us being twins,” Sam said sadly as he sat on the couch in the study.
“I’d say it’s impossible but, nothing is impossible when it comes to Winchesters.”
“Tell me about it,” you huffed.
“I ain’t tryin’ to rain on your pity parade Y/N, but we need to talk about what the hell is going on.”
You sighed and sat next to Sam, “I really don’t even know where to start anymore Bobby. So much has happened in the past few days.”
“Well kid, just start at the beginning.”
So you did, you told him about your first run in with Lucifer, Cas confirming he was your soulmate, but when you got to the part about your time in Hell Bobby stopped you. “Were none of you idjits gonna call me and tell me that she had been kidnapped and taken to Hell?”
“We had it taken care of Bobby, we got her out.” Dean answered.
“How exactly did you manage that?”
Dean was quiet and Sam looked down and rubbed the back of his neck. Obviously, they were reluctant to tell Bobby how they had rescued you from Hell.
“They sent Crowley for me. He was the only one who could get in and out without too much fanfare.”
Bobby rolled his eyes, “You know, I’m a little offended a crossroads demon knew Lucifer was your soulmate before I did. All Sam said when he called was to get everything I could on soulmates. What I got was that the connection was extremely rare, nothing talked about the fact that angels could have one.”
“That’s because Y/N is the first. According to Cas they don’t, but God must think she can give Lucifer a new view on humanity and prevent the apocalypse,” Sam explained.
Bobby gave you a thoughtful look, “Boys will you run upstairs and get one of the rooms ready for her? I know they’re gonna need new sheets and after everything she’s gonna sleep like the dead.” Your brothers gave Bobby a strange look but nodded and left the room.
You gave him a similarly strange look, “Alright ya old coot, why’d you send them away?”
He sighed, “What happened in Hell? What is your relationship with Lucifer like now? Because I know something about you is different.”
You dropped your head into your hands and rubbed over your eyes as you dragged them down and sighed, “I don’t know Bobby, nothing really significant if you think about it. I mean we talked a little, and then he left. But after he saved me, something changed. He helped me to the bed and I asked him to tell me everything. He just laughed and said in due time. And then he pushed a piece of hair behind my ear, kissed my forehead and left. When he left the room is when I realized something had changed because, I didn’t want him to go. And to be completely honest? I miss him. I miss being in Hell with him. It feels like a piece of me is missing, like something isn’t quite right ya know? God what’s happening to me, Bobby?” You pressed the heels of your hands to your temples; unsuccessfully hiding the tears that had begun to stream down your face.
Bobby moved to sit next to you on the couch and pulled you into his arms, “It’s gonna be okay, kid. I know you’re scared and that your idjit brothers ain’t exactly been helpful. We’ll figure out what our best option is and go from there. Now why don’t ya go upstairs and get some rest. Even if you don’t sleep just try to relax, give an old man some peace of mind would ya?”
You gave him a small smile and kissed him on the cheek, “Anything for you, Bobby. I’ll see you later.” You stood and headed up the stairs, passing Sam and Dean on their way back down.
“And don’t you do no research neither!” Bobby hollered after you, returning to his chair behind the desk.
“Yeah, yeah!” You tossed over your shoulder as you disappeared upstairs.
The boys moved from the base of the stairs and returned to their respective spots in the study, “Well?” Sam asked.
“If your face is any indication Bobby things are not good.” Dean moved to sit next to his brother and waited for Bobby to answer him.
“Well, they aren’t exactly bad neither.”
“That’s not comforting.”
“Well, Dean, what do you want? Your sister finally talked to me and, while I’m not exactly happy with this situation, it sure could be a hell of a lot worse.”
“How?! How exactly could this be worse?”
“Well if you’d shut your trap for two seconds, I’d tell ya.” Dean huffed but crossed his arms and stayed quiet. “Now nothing happened while she was in Hell, Lucifer didn’t do anything to her. But that connection you were telling me about? It’s definitely started.”
Sam sat forward, “How can you tell?”
“Uh, cuz she told me? She felt a shift in his behavior and her feelings toward him, less Satan and more archangel Lucifer. He kissed her forehead when she was in Hell; I think that physical contact is what caused it to start. But them being apart is definitely a tangible feeling for her, she said like a part of her is missing or that something just isn’t quite right. And well, she straight up misses him. Close your mouth Dean, I ain’t finished. Before you freak out, she ain’t a flight risk. She understands that something is happening to her and is keepin’ a level head about this. You boys need to be supportive and help her stay that way. The last thing she needs is more stress.”
Both brothers sighed and it was quiet for a few moments. Sam was the first to break the silence, “You’re right, but what are we going to do? If this is how Y/N is feeling, Lucifer can’t be feeling great. He’s going to come after her.”
Dean stood, “We’re gonna do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Lucifer is not going to get to her again.”

Laters, Baby Masterlist
Crowley took a deep breath before running through his rescue plan again. It consisted of teleporting into where he thought Y/N might be and kind of just winging it from there. Why was he doing this again? Oh right, to weaken Lucifer and save a Winchester.
Bollocks, this was a terrible plan.
With a snap of his fingers, Crowley teleported into the part of Hell he assumed Y/N was being kept. Turns out he was right; the chambers had been redecorated, however, and as he walked into the bedroom the youngest Winchester was fast asleep in the bed. He observed the red accents the room was covered in and smirked. How cliché of the devil, he thought to himself.
As he approached the huntress, he saw she had a black eye and a split lip, finger shaped bruises were also forming around her throat. “Bloody hope the Winchesters don’t blame me for this.” he whispered out loud. He felt a twinge of sympathy for the girl, spending quality time in Hell with Lucifer was probably no vacation.
He pulled the covers off the bed back and scooped the huntress into his arms when the room suddenly dropped ten degrees. “Bollocks.”
“You know Crowley, you must be a special kind of stupid to pop into Hell these days. May I ask why you have the baby Winchester in your arms?” Lucifer sneered as he waltzed into the bedroom.
“I was sent to retrieve her. Plus, if it pisses you off it tends to top my list of things to do these days.”
Lucifer’s eyes flashed red, “I suggest you put her down, demon. If you hurt her or even wake her up, you’ll have me to deal with. She belongs here with me.”
Crowley’s eyebrows shot up at his concern for her, but he remained focused. “Touching, really. But I’ve got two hunters and an angel who beg to differ, so I really must be going. Ta-ta now.” And with a snap of his fingers, Crowley and Y/N were gone. The roar Lucifer unleashed as a result shook the walls throughout all of Hell.
“Sam, I swear to God if you don’t stop pacing, I’m gonna break both your damn legs.”
Sam rolled his eyes and sighed at his brother but sat down next to him at the table. “Crowley should be back by now. Maybe you were right, this was a bad idea. We shouldn’t have trusted him.”
“Marvelous Moose, I should just return this to where I found it then?” The men turned to glare at the demon as he gestured to the unconscious woman in his arms. Sam and Dean scrambled from the table to approach their sister, Dean taking Y/N from Crowley’s arms. They moved to one of the beds in the motel room and laid her down.
Sam squinted at the wounds littering his sister’s face and neck, “What the hell happened, Crowley? She looks terrible.”
“That Moose, I do not know. She was like that when I arrived in Hell. I’m assuming spending quality time with Lucifer in his domain is no spa trip. However, I’m not sure Lucifer did that to her.”
Dean looked at the crossroads demon incredulously, “What are you talking about?”
“Lucifer seemed extremely protective when I showed up. He said she belonged with him”
“It’s beginning,” Castiel marveled.
Dean stood from his sister’s bedside and approached the angel, “What do you mean? What’s beginning Cas?”
Cas sighed, “The soulmate connection. Lucifer has spent time with Y/N and as a result does not want to be separated from her. It’s possible that she will feel similarly when she wakes. It’s not conscious thought, but a physical need to be near one another. I agree with Crowley, it is unlikely Lucifer caused those injuries.”
Dean moved to question Castiel further when a groan came from the bed. He turned and made it to his sister in two large steps, “Y/N/N? Hey are you okay?”
You groaned and slowly opened your eyes. You were shocked when, instead of Lucifer’s face, you were met with Sam on your right and Dean on your left. “Sam? Dean? What happened? How did I get here?”
“Hey are you alright?” Sam checked the bruises forming on your neck and grazed your split lip with his thumb.
You rolled your shoulders and sat up on the bed, “Yeah I think so. My throat hurts a little and I have a headache but I’ve had worse. How did I get here?”
“We’ll get to that in a second. What the hell happened, Y/N? You look like crap.”
You rolled your eyes, “Thanks for that Dean. And nothing really, I pissed off a demon and this was the aftermath. You know, typical Winchester things.”
Crowley laughed from across the room and Dean shot him a dirty look. “Yeah, okay, that I get but you should look much worse. You were in Hell and had no weapons; you should be a bloody pulp or dead. Why are you basically fine?”
You looked down and picked at your thumbnail, “Well I pissed off a demon and he decided to choke me to death, making up for losing one Winchester in Hell by killing another.” Dean cringed at the implication that his Hell-break was the reason for his sister’s suffering. “Well, right before I lost consciousness someone pulled him off of me. When I finally regained my senses and looked up, turns out it was Lucifer. And he was pissed. Dusted the demon right there.”
Dean tilted his head at you as a small smile appeared on your face when you talked about Lucifer. He looked at Sam and had one of their silent conversations about it. Cas was right; it was starting.
“So, is someone gonna tell me who busted me out of Hell? Because I know it wasn’t you two dopes and Cas can’t just waltz into Hell on his own,” you paused as you glanced to the crossroads demon in the corner of the room. “I’m guessing that’s where you come in?”
Crowley nodded and waltzed toward them, “Right you are Moosette. You were snoozing away in my former quarters when I popped in. Love what you’ve done with the place by the way.”
You rolled your eyes, “I didn’t exactly get a choice in décor Crowley. Red isn’t my color anyways.”
Sam’s eyebrows shot up, “You were sleeping in quarters? That were decorated in red? Y/N, what the hell happened while you were down there?”
You paused and contemplated how to answer your twin’s question. There was no way in hell you were going to tell them how you were feeling about the devil currently, that would get you immediate and permanent residency in Bobby’s panic room. So, you decided to tell the truth, mostly.
“Well, honestly? He treated me really well. He healed me when I first got there from Meg’s assault and then put me in that apartment-type thing. Which had no food in it, which is why I interacted with the demon and pissed him off, which resulted in the lovely array of bruises you see before you. Lucifer saved my life.”
You looked up to see four pairs of eyes staring back at you in disbelief. Sam looked confused while Dean looked flat out pissed, “Alright, we’re going to Bobby’s. We can do more research about this crap and the warding in the panic room should keep Lucifer and his lackeys from finding Y/N.” Dean stood and began packing everything back into the various duffel bags.
Your eyes widened, “What?? Dean I’m not going to let you lock me up in the panic room.” You stood and walked over to your older brother, “What happened in the park was a fluke and I know you guys were worried but I’m fine. I am not going to hide in Bobby’s basement while you all act like my white knights. I’ll be alright.” Crowley took the impending argument as his cue and blinked from the room.
Dean took a step back in an attempt to calm himself some, “Y/N we can’t risk him finding you. I mean look at you; I can’t take the chance of you getting hurt again. In the panic room you will be safe and Lucifer won’t be able to hurt you anymore.”
“Lucifer didn’t hurt me in the first place! The opposite actually! He healed me AND saved my life-”
“Why are you defending him? He’s the devil! You aren’t thinking clearly and while it’s not your fault I’m not taking any chances. We are going to Bobby’s where you can hang out in the panic room until we can figure out what to do about this soulmate bullshit.”
You were fuming. You weren’t thinking clearly? You knew what was happening to you, but that didn’t mean you were helpless. You took a deep breath, “Do you think I don’t know that something is happening to me? Do you think that it doesn’t scare the absolute hell out of me? Because it does. Did you ever stop and think that this is why I was brought into your family? That fate brought me to you, the vessels of Michael and Lucifer, in order to maybe have a chance at stopping the apocalypse? Maybe if Lucifer and I-”
“There is no Lucifer and you! He’s not getting near you again Y/N, and that’s a promise. We will stop the apocalypse, but not like that.” Dean looked at Cas and sent him a silent prayer.
The angel looked at him like he was insane, “No. I will not render your sister unconscious to make your life easier.” Cas walked over and placed two fingers to your forehead and, instead of doing what Dean asked, healed your wounds. “I agree with what Y/N was saying; Father made her Lucifer’s soulmate for a reason and I do not believe we should interfere.”
“Yeah? What if it backfires Cas? What if Lucifer makes her go darkside?” Dean pointed to you, “That’s my baby sister and I’m not taking that chance. I will do whatever it takes to keep her safe.”
While your brother argued with the angel, you changed out of the clothes you’d been wearing for two days and into fresh jeans and a flannel, sitting to pull on your boots. When you stood, you went and returned your weapons to their rightful places on your person: knife in boot, gun at your back. You sighed as you finally felt like yourself after days of absolute craziness.
With no warning, Dean stomped over and picked you up, throwing you over his shoulder. He made his way out to the Impala as you punched and kicked against him.“Dammit Dean, put me down!” you continued your assault on your brother, “I’m serious! PUT ME THE FUCK DOWN NOW!”
He ignored your protests and made his way to the back passenger-side door, pulling you from his shoulder to toss you into the back seat.
Before you could argue, Dean grabbed your right wrist and handcuffed you to the car, “This is for your own good Y/N/N.”
As he slammed the door, he made his way to the front of the car where Sam was standing. Sam’s eyes were wide as he read your lips, watching you let out a stream of expletives that’d make Dean blush.
“Was that really necessary?”
“Being with Lucifer changed her, Sam. I can’t risk him finding her again. Dad gave me one job our whole lives, and it was to watch out for you and Y/N. This is me doing that. Now let’s go.”

“This is a horrible idea.” Dean deadpanned.
“Do you have any better ideas, Dean? Because I don’t, Cas doesn’t, and I only told Bobby to look up anything he could about soulmates; we don’t need him freaking out over this. Anyways we’re human and can’t just waltz into Hell without either being dead or with some form of demonic assistance. This is our only option.” Sam gave his brother a sympathetic look and continued to gather the summoning supplies.
“How do we know he’ll even help us?”
“Well Crowley wants Lucifer gone and if we retrieve Y/N it may throw him off balance enough for him to make a mistake. Also, from my observations it seemed Crowley always did tend to favor Y/N out of all of you which may make him more inclined to retrieve her from Hell.” Cas stated nonchalantly as he supervised Sam preparing the summoning ritual.
“Okay, it’s ready.” Sam placed the bowl of ingredients on top of the sigil and used a knife to cut his hand, bleeding into the bowl, “Et ad congregandum... eos corum me.” He completed the ritual by dropping a lit match into the bowl, igniting the ingredients. The men looked around, awaiting the arrival of the crossroads demon.
“You know, demons do carry cellphones these days. Summoning is so 14th century.” The hunters and the angel spun around, finding a man clad in all black standing behind them.
“Crowley.” Dean grumbled.
“Moose, Squirrel, and your pet angel; lovely. Well, what is it that was so important that it required a summoning? And where’s Moosette? Never seen her too far from you lot.”
All the men cast their eyes downward as they were reminded that Y/N was, in fact, not there. Sam was the one to reply, “Well, Crowley, that’s the reason we called.”
“What? Little sister run away? I’m not a babysitter in case you haven’t noticed.”
“Will you shut up for two minutes Crowley? This is important.” Dean growled.
“Testy, testy. All right, get on with it.”
Dean sighed, “She’s gone. Taken actually.”
“And why do you need me? Isn’t that what you two do? Guns blazing to save the damsel in distress?”
“Because we can’t go where they took her. But you can.” Sam informed the demon.
“I don’t...” The men waited for the dots to connect in Crowley’s head. “Wait, Hell? Y/N’s in Hell? Why the hell is your sister in Hell?”
“That is... complicated.” Sam explained.
“If you are wanting me to go into Hell to retrieve her when I’m currently public enemy #1 you bloody well better uncomplicate it.”
“Lucifer has her Crowley. Meg grabbed her from a park and took her to him in Hell. We have no idea where in Hell she’s being kept but it won’t be too far from wherever Lucifer is and is probably pretty well guarded.” Sam rubbed the back of his neck.
“But why, Moose? You or Squirrel I’d understand but your sister has been relatively quiet in most of this apocalypse business.”
“Y/N is,” Cas began but was cut off with dirty looks from both Winchester brothers. “The whole of perdition already knows most likely, he should too if he’s going to attempt to retrieve her.” Dean still looked skeptical but Sam nodded. Crowley looked genuinely curious, what could be so important? “Y/N was crafted by God to be a soulmate; something incredibly rare in itself. However, even more rare, she was crafted for an angel, more specifically an archangel. She is meant to be the soulmate to Lucifer.”
Crowley’s eyes looked as if they were going to explode from his head. The boys didn’t blame him; their reactions were similar. “Lucifer has a sodding soulmate? And it’s a Winchester? And I thought nothing could surprise me anymore. So, you want me to go into Hell and get her. I have an inkling of where she’s most likely being kept if he’s being civil towards her. Why should I do this?”
“Because if we take Lucifer’s soulmate from him it should throw his general bearing off, making him weak until he recalibrates from being in her presence. The longer they are together, the weaker they will be when they are apart; at least until the soul connection is completed.” Castiel almost whispered the last sentence, not wanting the brothers to overreact. Too late.
“Completed? What do you mean by the soul connection being completed Cas?” Dean asked incredulously.
“Consummated, Dean. Lucifer and Y/N must consummate the connection for them to be actually bound and connected by the soul. However, neither party can forcefully complete the bond. So Lucifer cannot force her by magic or any other manner to complete it, it has to be completely consensual,” Cas informed the group. Sam’s face went white while Crowley smirked and Dean looked confused.
“Consummate. You mean...”
“Horizontal tango, squirrel.” Crowley laughed.
“Yes. Crowley put it rather crudely, but yes. Your sister would have to have intercourse with Lucifer to complete the bond.”
“Cas, please don’t say intercourse. Especially when you’re talking about my sister.” Dean rubbed a hand down his face. This angel was going to kill him. Again. “Well Crowley, will you do it or not?” Crowley looked skeptical. Why would he go to the number one place he should avoid for the Winchesters?
“I understand your hesitation. But you said you might know where she is being kept which gives you an advantage. You should do this because it’s an opportunity to weaken Lucifer, which is one step closer to defeating him. Also because, why I am unaware, you seem to have a soft spot for Y/N and she is currently in Hell. With Lucifer. Those two things together are not good.” Cas deadpanned to the crossroads demon.
“Don’t read my mind, wings. Makes me feel violated.” Crowley paused, “Bloody hell, alright. I’ll go. But I make no guarantees. I will save my own hide if it comes down to getting her out or staying alive. Deal?”
Dean and Sam looked at each other and had one of their silent conversations. They were both skeptical and Crowley’s last statement didn’t help that. “Fine, deal. Just please, Crowley. Try to get her out.” Sam pleaded with the demon as they shook hands.
“I’m a man of my word Sam. I will do everything in my power to retrieve her. Like the angel said, for some reason I actually like the female version of you.” With that, Crowley snapped his fingers and disappeared and all Sam, Dean, and Castiel could do was wait. Wait for a demon to rescue their sister from the devil.
They were screwed.
It had been a day since you had woken up in Hell, and you hadn’t seen hide or hair of Lucifer since he brought you to this room. You were utterly confused. For being the devil, Lucifer was being awfully nice to you. He healed you, treated you well, and gave you these nice chambers; it made no sense. You expected wrath and rudeness, not kindness and a bit of domesticity. What was it exactly that Lucifer wanted from you?
Your stomach growled. Oh yeah, while Lucifer had healed you, you still hadn’t eaten in over a day. You made your way into the kitchen of the small... apartment? You still weren’t sure what to call this place. You checked the cabinets: empty. Then the fridge: also empty. You rolled your eyes, what happened to this place having everything I needed? you thought to yourself. This meant you had to deal with one of the demons standing outside the door. Marvelous.
You walked to the ornate door and took a deep breath. You were completely unarmed and had to ask a demon to get food for you, this was ridiculous. You opened the door to see the back of a large man with dark skin in a suit on the other side. He turned to face you and flashed his already dark eyes onyx when they met yours. “What are you doing? You know you can’t leave these chambers.”
“Yes I’m aware but your boss neglected to put food in this place. I’m human and have to eat every once in a while to, ya know, live. So, can you get me some?”
The man rolled his eyes. He was obviously less than thrilled with his job assignment. “Seriously? Why should I do anything for you, Winchester? Wait until the King returns and I’m sure he’d do it for you.”
Your already thin patience was becoming nonexistent. “Look, its not like I have much of a choice in this. I haven’t eaten in over a day and Lucifer told me to come to you for anything I need...”
“James.” He sighed.
“James. So do your damn job. You know, I wonder, if I exorcised you while in Hell, would it work? Would it force you from your vessel and to a different part of Hell or would it just be unpleasant? Shall we find out?”
He flashed his eyes black at the huntress once more, “Don’t even think about it, Winchester. I’m here to make sure you don’t leave, not be your errand boy.”
You shrugged and began chanting, “Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spirtus, omnis satanica-” That was as far as you got in the exorcism before the demon lunged into the room, grabbing you by the throat and pinning you to the wall. You attempted to buck the demon off, but he punched you in the face once, twice, three times and stalled your struggle.
“You know, when I first saw Meg bring you down here I was excited. Finally, another Winchester after big bro made the big angelic escape; it should be fun. But no, Lucifer brings you down here and treats you like royalty. Why? You’re human, a hunter, and a Winchester. Maybe he isn’t the leader we thought he was. Oh well, at least I get to kill you. I’ll be a goddamn hero to most for it.”
Your vision was beginning to darken at the edges. You weren’t going to be conscious much longer, and dead not long after that. As you were beginning to teeter into unconsciousness, the pressure was suddenly gone and you fell to the ground. After a few seconds, you gasped a big breath and began to cough. You looked up at your savior and through your blurred vision saw an interesting sight: Lucifer holding the demon off the ground by the throat and looking pissed.
“Now James, this is not what I assigned you to do. Last time I checked I said to guard the door and get her the things she needed, not to choke the life out of her against the wall. Do you know why she’s down here James?” The demon shook his head and Lucifer flashed his eyes red, “That’s because you are insignificant and not privy to such information. You’re a demon, I’m the devil, and I’m tired of this conversation.” Lucifer snapped the fingers of his free hand and the demon turned to dust. He fanned away the remnants of the demon floating in his face and turned to the coughing woman on the floor, “Are you alright?”
You attempted to stand but fell to your knees, that demon did a number on you. “Peachy,” you were able to rasp out, flashing him a sarcastic “OK” sign with your hand.
Lucifer rolled his eyes as you continued to cough, reaching his hand out to you. “C’mon kid, let’s get you up.” He grabbed your left hand and pulled you to your feet, leading you to the bed in the other room. “Go on, get in.”
You looked at the devil quizzically but climbed into the king size bed, sitting up against the headboard. The mattress was unlike anything you had ever felt before; a lifetime of squeezing onto uncomfortable motel beds with Sam made this feel like an actual cloud. You sighed and closed your eyes as you sunk down into the bed, feeling Lucifer sit next to you. “Are you alright?” he repeated.
“I’m fine, Lucifer. I’ve had worse.” You sat in silence for a moment as you picked at a loose stitch on the comforter. You looked back up at the devil, unable to keep your questions to yourself any longer. “I don’t understand what’s going on. Why do you care? Why am I here? Why are you being so nice to me?”
Lucifer sighed, “I will tell you everything, Y/N. I promise. But not right now. Right now, you need to sleep and I need to deal with my demon problems. It’s so hard to find good help these days.” You let out a small laugh, which made the devil smile, something he’d noticed himself doing a lot since you arrived in Hell. He pushed a stray hair behind your ear, “Get some sleep, angel. I’ll be back in a couple hours.” Kissing your forehead, he stood and headed for the throne room.
You watched as Lucifer left your chambers, a part of you wishing he would stay. Your eyes widened at your own realization. You were beginning to see him differently. In the day you’d been in Hell Lucifer had been great to you, healing you, saving you, and now he was pushing hair behind your ears and kissing your forehead and calling you angel. He was becoming less like the devil, and more like your soulmate.

Sam stood and began pacing the motel room, stopping to look out the window. The sun was up. Y/N had been gone for a couple of hours now and they still hadn’t heard anything from her. If Cas hadn’t flown out to check on her, he for damn sure would not be in this motel room just waiting.
He took a deep breath and ran a hand over his face. She looked so distraught when she left. He just wanted to talk to her to make sure she knew that Dean’s confession changed nothing. He and Y/N were still twins; peas in a pod, two sides to the same coin and any other expression he could think of. They’d been inseparable since he could remember and he did not want that to change. She was his best friend and he wouldn’t know what to do without her.
Sam was shaken from his internal struggle by the sound of the motel room door slamming. “She’s still not back yet??” Dean asked while setting coffee and breakfast on the table.
“No and I’m starting to get worried. She’s been gone for a while and Cas left an hour ago to check on her and I haven’t heard from him either. Should we go look for them?”
Dean sighed and took a long drink from his coffee. “Let’s eat first, give her some more time if she’s still just processing. If they’re still not back when we’re done, we’ll go look for them.”
Sam nodded at his brother as they both sat down at the table to eat. He went to take a bite of his food when Castiel burst through the door of the motel room. Sam looked the angel up and down; he looked like crap. Shit. This could not be good.
“Cas what the hell happened, man? You look like you got your ass kicked.” Dean got up to examine the cut on the angel’s forehead and looked behind him to the open motel door expecting Y/N to walk in next. “Where’s Y/N Cas?”
Cas took a deep breath, “She’s gone, Dean.”
“WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN SHE’S GONE?!” Dean bellowed in the angel’s face.
“I tried to save her Dean. We were talking in the park, I believe I was successful in helping her feel better regarding her situation, when demons appeared. Originally it was only Meg,” Dean cursed and Sam ran a hand down his face at the demons name. Would they ever be rid of her? “But then two more arrived to assist her. The two attacked me while Meg went after Y/N. She held her own but by the time I dealt with the two demons and tried to help her, Meg had rendered her unconscious and blinked away with Y/N in her arms. Most likely to Hell as I could not follow wherever it was they went.”
Sam jumped up from the table with wide eyes, “Meg works for Lucifer, Cas. Basically his right hand since he’s been topside. Dean, if Meg has her...”
“She took her straight to Lucifer. Dammit!” Dean punched the wall in frustration.
“Calm down! We need a plan. Lucifer is most likely in Hell; if we’re going to get Y/N out we’re going to need to find a way in. That means we need to call someone with direct access to Hell...”
“You don’t mean?” Dean asked Sam incredulously. Sam nodded sadly.
Dean sighed and wiped his hand down his face. With a punch downward, the eldest Winchester yelled, “FUCK!”
The first thing you noticed when you started to regain consciousness was the ache in the left side of your head/face. Your mouth was also extremely dry; when you went to lick your lips, you winced as your tongue grazed your split lip. Fucking demons. You went to rub the side of your head and found you couldn’t move your hands. You looked up and saw them chained above you.
“Owwwwww. Fucking demons, man.” As soon as you moved your head the pounding worsened. You pulled on your restraints with no luck; they were completely secure. All of the movement was causing your head to pound even more. “Fucking fuck. Fucking demon bitch.”
A chuckle came from the darkness in front of you, “You have quite the mouth on you little Winchester. Don’t worry though, I kinda like it.”
You looked ahead and saw two eyes flash red. Of course it was Lucifer, should you have expected anything less? “Lucifer. Wish I could say it’s good to see you, but I’ve tried to cut down on lying through my teeth.”
The devil chuckled once more, “Like I said, doll, quite the mouth.” The devil emerged from the darkness and came to stand right in front of you. His blue eyes met yours as he moved forward and cupped your face, running his thumb over the split in your lip. He tsked, “I told them to go easy, precious cargo and all. You must’ve really pissed Meg off.”
“I may have called her ugly, and told her to tell you to shove it up your ass. And then I broke her vessels nose.” You shrugged your shoulders as best you could with your arms strung up above you.
Lucifer laughed again. Odd, he sure does laugh a lot for being the freaking devil. “Feisty, I like it. You seem much less afraid of me than before. Have you warmed to me baby Winchester?” He asked with a smirk.
You rolled your eyes, which made you wince; your head really did hurt. “I have a name you know? And I wasn’t scared of you last time necessarily. Just kinda shocked, I guess? Not everyday the devil shows up and says ‘I’m your soulmate!’ It was half shock and half thinking you were most likely full of shit.”
He looked at you and put two fingers to his chin, “And now? Do you still think I’m full of shit?”
You sighed, “No. I know you were telling the truth. We’re really soulmates.”
His eyes went wide but the ever-present smirk remained, “Really? I’m assuming you didn’t just take me at my word, I am the devil after all.”
“Well duh. Told my brothers and Castiel what you told me, and then I got to have Cas shove his arm up my ribcage so he could touch my soul. You know the fun, excruciatingly painful stuff.”
Lucifer’s face fell; he honestly looked upset. Did you say something wrong already? “You’re telling me my brother touched your soul?”
“Yes? He said it was the only way we could be absolutely sure. He touched it and said he could feel a connection to yours, meaning you were actually my soulmate. It’s been an interesting 12 hours let me tell you.” It hit you just how long this night had actually been. You were going on over 36 hours without sleep and were pretty sure Meg had given you a minor concussion when she knocked you out.
Lucifer noticed that the woman in front of him was struggling to keep her eyes open. “We’ll come back to that, what in Dad’s name is wrong with you?”
You rolled your eyes for at least the hundredth time that night. “Well Lucifer, where should I start? I’m strung up by my arms in what I’m assuming is Hell, correct?” Lucifer nodded. “Your demon bitch split my lip and gave me a concussion; I haven’t slept in over 36 hours; I’m starving; oh, and tonight I’ve found out that not only is the devil my soulmate, but that my brothers aren’t even really my brothers! Yep my birth mom just ditched me on a motel doorstep. John and Dean lied to me and Sam for years.” You let out a breathy laugh and let your head loll down. You were so tired, mentally and physically.
Lucifer tilted his head at you. That certainly explained a lot. Something odd was happening though, he was feeling something for you. He felt... bad? He had the desire to comfort you and to try to make things better. What the fuck, Lucifer? She’s a human. He internally scolded himself but his new feelings won out. He sighed, “If I take you down you have to promise to behave.”
You looked up at him incredulously, “What would I do, Lucifer? I’m half unconscious and you’re a friggin’ archangel, I think I’m a bit outgunned here.”
Lucifer snorted, “Touché, baby Winchester.” He snapped his fingers and the chains disappeared, causing you to fall to the cold, stone ground with a yelp.
“Ow,” you rubbed your head and then your wrists before standing up, “And are you going to keep calling me that? I have an actual name.”
“I enjoy it, but since you aren’t technically a Winchester it isn’t as fun anymore. What’s your name again?”
“Y/N. And I’m still a Winchester Lucifer, just not by blood. Speaking of blood, I can’t believe I’m about to do this, but can I ask you a favor?”
Lucifer’s eyebrows shot up and he grinned, “So eager to make a deal with the devil already Y/N?”
“No, no deals, just consolation for kidnapping me and for Meg beating the crap out of me. Can you please heal me? I’m assuming you’re going to want me conscious for whatever it is you have planned and with the concussion and lack of sleep that will be an issue very soon.”
Lucifer placed a finger to his chin as he contemplated your request. “I suppose you make a good point.” He removed his finger from his chin and placed two to your forehead.
When he touched you, you felt the familiar soulmate connection spark through you. It was followed by the cooling sensation of his grace, its flowing tendrils moving to each part of your body to heal the wounds left behind by Meg. “There. Happy now?”
“Thank you, Lucifer. While I could still go for four hours and a sandwich, I feel better.”
Lucifer rolled his eyes. He should just kill you and get this over with. If the soulmate connection was allowed to blossom and eventually be consummated, you would be a weakness. But he couldn’t, and he was cursing his father for it. “Come with me.”
You raised an eyebrow but followed Lucifer as he exited the room and turned left into the corridor. As you followed, demons bowed to Lucifer as he passed but brought their heads up in time to glare at you. The devil bringing a human woman into Hell, a Winchester at that, was probably not an everyday occurrence.
He stopped at an ornate door isolated at the end of a corridor, Lucifer turning to you with a smirk on his face. “This is yours. You will stay in this room when you are not with me, I certainly don’t need a Winchester running loose through Hell. Everything you will need is in here.”
You looked at him dumbfounded as he pushed the door open. The inside looked like a nice one-bedroom apartment that you’d find in a city somewhere, not deep in the bowels of Hell. As you stepped inside you entered a living area with a large couch and television along with a massive bookshelf on the wall completely filled. As you trailed your fingers along the spines you noticed they were some of your favorites: a mix of classics and new fiction. You went deeper into the apartment, passing through the exquisite kitchen and into the bedroom. In there, a king size bed sat in the middle of the room clad in red.
“Red, Lucifer? Really? Isn’t that a bit too on the nose?”
“I’m nothing if not one for the classics.” He smirked and sat down on the edge, “There will be a demon posted outside this door at all times, the only person allowed in and out is me. If you need anything, just tell them. I have some Hell business to attend to; if I knew this place became so bureaucratic and paperwork-centric while I was away, I may have just let Crowley keep it.”
With that, Lucifer stood and exited your new, what was this place even, chambers? Upscale prison cell? You didn’t know. All you knew was that you were stuck in Hell at Lucifer’s beck and call, and that it most likely was not going to end well.
You missed Sam and Dean.

Laters Baby Masterlist
When they finally let you leave the motel room, you began to walk down the road it was on. Every thought was flying through your head at a million miles an hour, not being able to settle on a single one. Your life had pulled a full 180 in only a few hours. Should you expect anything less though? Your last name was Winchester.
A few minutes into your walk, you stumbled upon a park. It was beautiful, even in the dark. You walked further in and sat on a bench in front of an illuminated fountain. You needed to sit for this internal battle you knew was approaching. The rushing of the water through the fountain helped calm you. You took a deep breath and let your mind slow to the first item that needed your attention before all the others: your brothers.
Part of you wanted to be pissed. Dean lied to you for your whole life. You understood why he didn’t tell you while Dad was still alive; orders were orders and nobody followed them more loyally than Dean. But after he died? You were in your 20’s when John died; there was no reason for Dean not to tell you. It’s not like you would have left them, just like you wouldn’t now. You may not be related by blood like you thought, but they’re still your brothers and you’re still a Winchester. Although, you’ll probably still give Dean shit for a while, he deserves it.
You smirked at that thought and looked up behind the fountain to see the sun begin to rise. Was it that early already? The sun began to turn the sky into shades of orange and pink; it was breathtaking. Maybe getting the opportunity to see a sunrise for once is the positive to come out of this hell.
Hell. What a poor choice of words. You leaned back on the bench and massaged your temples. This is the one thing you didn’t wanna deal with. How was this even possible? An archangel with a human soulmate? It made no sense. And why you? Why were you meant to be with the devil? You tried to live a good life, be a good person, save everyone that you could. Why was God punishing you? You ran a hand through your hair as the tears you’d been trying to fight all night finally slid down your cheeks.
Suddenly, there was a whoosh sound, like a wing. You sat up and looked to your right to see Castiel beside you. “Cas, what are you doing here?” you asked wiping the tears from your face.
“I sensed your distress. As a neutral third party I thought perhaps you could benefit from speaking to me about the matters troubling you.”
“Right now, I’m just trying to come to terms with the whole ‘soulmate to the devil’ bullshit. Why me, Cas? I’ve tried all my life to be a good person and not just the killer my dad trained me to be, so why am I destined to be with an archangel who literally does nothing but cause death and destruction?”
Cas sighed, “I do not believe this is a punishment, Y/N. As you humans say, God works in mysterious ways. I believe he intends for you to mate with Lucifer as a way to possibly change him. Make him come to terms with the fact humanity is not the burden he believes it to be. If anyone could change Lucifer into a better person, it’s you.”
You looked at Castiel in awe, “Do you really think so? I’m not anything special. I’m just a hunter. I drink too much, I kill something every week, and look at me; I’m covered in scars and I wear hand-me-downs from the boys. I’m not worthy of an archangel, even if it is a fallen one. God made a mistake.”
“Please do not put yourself down in such a way. You underestimate yourself. When I first came to Earth, you were patient with me and my misunderstandings of human nuances. I’ve seen the way you comfort surviving victims on your hunts and how you mourn those you were too late to save. You pet every dog you see and you give to others when you have very little to begin with. You may kill, but you kill to save innocents. You are a good person, Y/N. My father chose you for a reason.”
You smiled at the angel as a tear escaped; did he really notice all of that about you? Dean gets annoyed with Cas but you appreciated his naïve nature and his protective tendencies over you and your brothers. You opened your mouth in an attempt to thank him for his support, when you were overwhelmed with the scent of sulfur. You stood and looked around in front of you.
“Cas...”
“Yes. Demons are nearby,” he said as he stood next to you.
“Damn Winchester, it must be nice to have an angel for a lapdog. He’s pretty cute. Can I pet him?” The female voice came from behind you and Castiel. You both turned to find a brunette woman, her eyes flashing black at you as you did.
“You know, Meg, I’m getting real tired of seeing your ugly mug,” you sassed at the demon.
“I’m not thrilled to be around you either baby Winchester but orders are orders. Boss wants to get to know his new lady friend in private. That means you aren’t invited Clarence.”
“That is not my name, demon.” Cas growled and dropped his angel blade into his hand.
You sent a prayer to Cas. Cas I don’t have any weapons. This is going to end badly. They’re going to take me to Lucifer; you need to warn my brothers. Cas looked at you like you had two heads. He didn’t have to speak for you to know what he was thinking: he wasn’t leaving you. You rolled your eyes and when you looked back to Meg, two more demons had appeared behind her. Marvelous.
“Look our orders are to bring you in alive. If we kill you Lucifer will be very angry. Doesn’t mean we won’t hurt you in the process. Come with us now, and we won’t hurt you or Christmas-tree-topper over there.” Meg said sweetly.
You looked at Cas who just shook his head. Guess we’re fighting then. You looked back to the demons, “Tell Lucifer to shove it up his ass.”
The smile wiped from Meg’s face with your statement. She nodded at Cas and the two demons behind her began their attack on the angel.
“CAS!”
Meg walked closer to you, “Pretty boy can’t help you now, Winchester.”
You squared up and smirked at the demon, “Bring it on, bitch.”
Meg lunged at you and the fighting began. Luckily, she didn’t have any weapons but still, hand-to-hand combat with a demon was no walk in the park. You each got a few hits in on the other, Meg’s nose bleeding and your lip split. You glanced over at Cas who was holding his own with the two demons, finally shoving his angel blade into the chest of one of them.
Meg used your distraction to get in a cheap shot to your stomach. The wind rushed from your lungs and you dropped to your knees unable to breathe.
“Y/N!” Castiel stabbed the last demon and tried to make his way to you, but Meg threw him away with a flick of her wrist.
“Sorry Clarence, but the boss needs his soulmate.” With that, she punched you in the face one last time, sending you reeling. The last thing you heard was Cas call your name and felt Meg pull you into her arms before you gave into the darkness.

“Well, I guess it starts right after Sam turned one. I was five and Dad was still new to hunting, but was slowly making a name for himself in the community.
“We had just settled into a new motel room for that week’s hunt. Around Chattanooga, I think? Our first day there, Dad was sitting at the table in the room researching while Sam slept and I watched some kids show on TV. A few hours later, a scream came from the room next to ours. Dad sprang into action and ran to the room next door where he found the monster he had been after attacking a young couple; ended up being Dad’s first rougarou case. The thing had already torn the husband to shreds and was going after the girl, couldn’t have been more than 20, who had a little girl in her arms. Dad killed the thing but the girl was pretty shaken up, I guess.
“He came back a couple hours later and told me that the girl and her mom were fine, but said nothing else on the matter. A few hours later we all went to bed but were woken up early in the morning by crying. We originally thought it was Sammy but he was still fast asleep. Dad opened the door to the motel room and found the little girl from before in a car seat on the doorstep.
“Dad rubbed a hand down his face and cursed. I didn’t understand why at the time but Dad knew that woman had dumped this kid in his lap because he had helped her.
“Attached to her was a note telling him her name and birthday, which was only a few days off from Sam’s, and that she was sorry but she just couldn’t do it without her husband. So, Dad made a choice. He decided to keep the baby and instead of dealing with the whole ‘adopted but not really’ thing, went with the story that she was Sam’s twin. Made me promise to go along with it and keep the truth a secret.
“So, I did. I did what Dad ordered me to do. I’m sorry guys, I know I should’ve told you the truth but just because you aren’t blood Y/N doesn’t mean you aren’t our sister. And you are still Sammy’s twin. Hell, I think there are some real twins that don’t look more alike or are more similar. You guys have a bond no one can touch and this won’t change that. Be pissed at me all you want Y/N but you are Sam’s twin, my little sister, and a Winchester. Nothing will ever change that and I will always do whatever it takes to keep you safe.”
The tears were streaming down your face in full force now, “So, you’re telling me, I’m just some kid whose mom didn’t want her and was dropped off on the nearest motel doorstep? I don’t understand. Why? Why did Dad keep me? He already had you and Sam to take care of, and Dean you basically did that anyways. Why?”
Dean sighed and ran a hand down his face, “I asked him that same question when I was about 18. I thought he should tell you the truth and I told him so but he stood his ground. You and Sam were both sitting on the hood of the Impala outside of the room reading, like nerds, and he just looked at you. I’ll never forget what he said to me that day...”
“Dad, you need to tell Y/N the truth. She’s going to find out one day and if she doesn’t hear it from you it’s going to devastate her. I don’t understand. Why keep another kid? And why lie about her being Sam’s twin?”
John looked out the motel window at his two youngest children and sighed, “Dean, I know you lost your mom when you were young, but at least you know she loved you. Y/N, her mom literally left her on a stranger’s doorstep and didn’t care whether I kept her or not. She didn’t care what happened to her. I had a choice to make that day: keep her and make her a Winchester, or take her to the police station and watch her get put into the system. She needed a family and honestly? I think we needed her too. And as for her being Sam’s twin, her birthday is only three days off. Hell, they look so much alike it’s scary that they actually aren’t. I know taking her in put a lot on your shoulders Dean, and for that I’m sorry. We can’t tell her the truth. Not yet. If she takes off when she finds out she needs to be trained fully. She may not be a Winchester by blood, but she’s still a Winchester and monsters would be all over her. I can’t let that happen. Not to my daughter.”
“Dad was going to tell you soon after you turned 18 but you and Sammy had hightailed it for Stanford. He didn’t tell you to keep you safe. He loved you Y/N. Hell, sometimes I think he liked you more than he liked me and Sammy.” Dean said with a chuckle.
You didn’t say anything. You just sat back down at the table and rubbed a hand over your face. This was too much. You squeezed the bridge of your nose. If Lucifer wasn’t your stupid soulmate, you wouldn’t have had to figure out that Dean and Sam aren’t actually your stupid brothers, and your whole stupid life wouldn’t currently be in shambles.
“Y/N, are you alright?” Castiel looked at you with a concerned look on his face.
“Um, no, not really. I think I’m gonna take a walk, clear my head.” You got up and pulled on your flannel and boots, heading for the door but Sam blocked your way. “Move Sam.”
“Y/N talk to me. I know you’re upset but you really shouldn’t go out there alone right now.”
“Sam, I don’t want to talk. Right now, I don’t even know what I would say. I- I need to wrap my head around all of this and try to make sense of everything. I won’t be gone long. I’ll be fine.”
I’ll be fine. Famous last words, right?

Summary: Finding out the devil is your soulmate is nothing but trouble. Being a Winchester? It’s double. How will the Winchester clan handle this new problem, along with the Apocalypse looming on the horizon?
A/N: I’m bored and this chapter is short so here’s Chapter 3! Let me know what you think and if you’d like to be tagged! :)
Laters Baby Masterlist
You slowly began to regain consciousness and noticed you were on yours and Sam’s bed in the motel room. Why were you unconscious? You hadn’t gotten hurt on the hunt. There weren’t even vamps there, it was... Fuck. You remembered now. You closed your eyes again and tried to will yourself back into darkness because you would rather do just about anything but deal with this right now.
“I know you’re awake, Y/N. Your brothers are not here. They went outside after I assured them you were alright,” you felt Castiel sit down on your left side.
You let out a long sigh and opened your eyes, “So it wasn’t a dream? My life is in complete shambles? Super.”
“I am sorry Y/N. This must be very difficult for you. In the last few hours you have learned information that will forever change your life. It is not surprising you became overwhelmed and subsequently unconscious.”
“Thanks Cas. So, let’s take this one problem at a time. Are we absolutely sure Lucifer was right and I’m his soulmate?” You asked while sitting up against the headboard.
“I believe so. However, there is only one way to be completely sure. I will need to touch your soul. If Lucifer’s soul is tied to yours by a soulmate connection, I will be able to feel it. Unfortunately, it will be extremely painful.”
“Of course. Well, I want to make sure before we go any further into this mess so let’s do it.”
“I would advise we bring your brothers back for this. You may want them here, but also if I did this without their knowledge they would be extremely upset.” Cas looked at you sympathetically. You rolled your eyes but waved your hand towards the door, signaling him to retrieve your brothers. Brothers. Could you even call them that anymore?
Cas returned a few seconds later with Sam and Dean. “Alright, what is it that you’re doing Cas?” asked Dean.
“I will touch her soul to see if I can feel a connection to Lucifer’s. If I can, they are truly soulmates. If not, Lucifer lied and is somehow trying to manipulate her. I will not lie; this will be unpleasant. It will be extremely painful for her and it will not be pleasant for you to witness either.”
“No. No way. There has to be a way for us to find this out without hurting her,” Sam said. It didn’t matter if you weren’t family by blood, you would always be his twin and he would always protect you.
“There isn’t, Sam. If there was, don’t you think Cas would’ve said something? It’s okay. We need to know. Do it, Cas.” You laid back down on the bed and tried to even out your breathing. While you knew this needed to be done, it didn’t mean you weren’t scared of the pain you knew was coming.
Cas rolled up his right sleeve and sat on your right side, “Are you ready?”
“No, but do it anyway.”
He sighed, “If there is some place you find soothing, I suggest you go there.” Taking off his belt, he placed the folded piece of leather in your mouth. Your eyes went even wider at this implication.
Before you could overthink it, Cas put his hand in the center of your chest and began to reach up under your ribcage, a bright light emitting from the spot. Your screams echoed throughout the room and made your brothers cringe. It was pain unlike anything you had ever felt before, like Cas was attempting to rip your spinal cord out with a red-hot poker. As he pushed deeper, your screams intensified, getting impossibly louder around the belt. You thought for a minute you were going to bite completely through the thick, black leather.
He finally pulled his arm out of your chest and stood. You were panting on the bed, tears streaming down your face. Sam rushed to your side and pulled you into his arms, taking the belt out of your mouth.
“Did it work?” you rasped out, your erratic breathing and previous screams making it difficult to speak.
Cas wore a sad expression, and you just knew. “Yes, it worked. I’m sorry, Y/N. Lucifer is indeed your soulmate.”
You nodded and snuggled deeper into Sam’s arms, closing your eyes as you tried unsuccessfully to keep the tears at bay as more slipped down your cheeks. He didn’t know what to say to you so he just held you tighter.
Dean ran a hand down his face, frustrated, “Y/N we’ll figure this out. Soulmate or not, Lucifer won’t lay a hand on you. Ever. You know we’d never let anything bad happen to you.”
You let out a long sigh and pulled yourself from Sam’s arms, shakily standing up and walking over to Dean, “Are you sure about that big brother? If I can even call you that anymore. How can I trust you? You’ve lied to me for, well forever. If I can’t count on you to be honest with me, how can I trust you to keep me safe? I need you to explain everything to me right now. I want the whole truth, Dean. No more lies.”
Dean nodded and sat down at the table, contemplating how to explain this to his siblings. This was turning into one long, weird night.
