We really got robbed of orochimaru and kabuto breakup post war like I need to see it

Orochimaru who was never particularly sentimental and would face kabuto request for resign with as much grace as he does with everything else

Kabuto who was probably surprised himself with this decision that even after he had thinks it over it still surprised him to finally go through with it

He probably thought he would spend the rest of his life by Orochimaru's side and Orochimaru wouldve outlive him and goes on with his quest for immortality through the next several decades

Kabuto doesn't think of his role as particularly essential but he probably has wished orochimaru refused to let him go

Kabuto who hesitate before telling orochimaru to keep warm and where to find the teas he likes from each of their hidden bases and whats left of their inventories and the order of their books in their libraries and should he ever needed help to transfer to a new vessel or required medical assistance so on he will always be around
