Anacortes, there is a new event in town:
Here’s a poster!
We hate to be redundant, but if you are planning on attending our event and have yet to buy a pass, do it now. All the money goes to a good cause and we’ll need a definitive head count for the dinner. Don’t leave us hangin’ till the last minute!

(The Business, at 402 Commercial Ave. in Anacortes also sells passes if you want to buy one in person. Pass pick-up will take place at the Unknown on the day of the event.)

Hey What the Heck? fans!
Donate now to help Karl Blau reach his Kickstarter goal.
This project is super exciting, he did something similar 8 years ago and every month subscribers would get a record in the mail. So many classics! Coconutcracker! Dunkel Blau! Double Duty Booty!
Spend a little on the man who gives so freely.

Good news: there is dancing at What the Heck.
This is footage/proof from last year's performances by NK as well as DJs the Universe and Hot Air Balloon. DJ Hot Air Balloon returns on Saturday with DJ Ingebling. DJs What the Hex will be doing Friday night.
It's at the Watertown (a local bar) and it's free.

Heck fest could never be Heck fest without Calvin.
This is the Hive Dwellers. They will be performing at 5 PM Saturday at Anchor Art Space, a room which will fit their sound very very well. Anchor is also having an exhibition by festival regulars/friends Sheila Klein and Ries Niemi. Entrance is always free.
(the movie is by Dan Schreiber)

BROKEN WATER. When I was a teenager I wanted to experience punk just like in the documentaries I would watch. Then I figured it was too late to experience such extreme authenticity, to experience something that great as it was happening.
It's not too late.
Broken Water are the band I wanted to see as a teenager, and more.

This is an old video of an old song, but I think it's important to point out that the first time you see THRONES perform Obolus, your jaw sort of drops.
