Very hard to believe this one turns 17 this year. I still remember the day I got it. Sat there listening for the first time at a two year old’s birthday party on a dingy little CD player. I still have my CD. The deluxe edition that came with a dvd and bonus tracks, the back cover features a closeup of a thorn on an all white background and I remember thinking it was the coolest thing ever as I ran my fingers over the embossed image, reading the tracklist trying to imagine what each song was going to sound like. 3 months later I saw them live for the first time on the 26th October 2008 at Acer Arena (now Qudos Bank Arena) in Sydney w Machine Head and Sydonia. This coming March I will see them for the 6th time at Knotfest Sydney. 17 years on and despite my tastes growing and varying I still love this album, I still love this band.
