"Anna's right- of course I'm right, I'm always right." Anna smirked under her breath, and then let go of Hans with one arm to watch as he continued to invite his brother on this surprise outing.
It sounded like a fair idea. They truly had closed themselves off to the people a bit, since Elsa's tantrum on that fateful evening. She thought it might do them good to get out among the people, see Arendelle at its fullest once again- and for her, it would be the first time in forever. She felt that telling the brothers this much would be a good idea, perhaps even change Hansel's strangely begrudging agreement into one of a bit more understanding and amicable nature.
"I think this is a wonderful idea, Hans." she enthused at once, looking adoringly at her soon-to-be-husband. "To tell you the truth, I haven't actually been beyond the docks where I met you since I was very, very little...I haven't been allowed outside the castle in ages. It would be amazing to explore it all with two of the best Isles men at my side!"
Anna looked to Hansel after that, and beckoned him to come their way. "Let's be off at once!"
{♔} —- “Anna’s right!” Hans said, looking to his brother even as the princess wrapped her arms around him. “Frankly, we could both do with a little less space from you.”
He flashed a grin at Hansel, light and teasing, and quickly looked down to the woman in his arms.
“I’ll tell you why I’m so cheerful!” he replied. “This morning I looked out my  window, and I saw a kingdom teeming with life. I saw people hurrying towards the market, children at play, wildflowers and blue waters! And I realized… We should go out! All three of us.”

Despite the state of the kingdom and the general falling of her blood lineage to bits and pieces ending in only her own continuation of it, Anna was fairly happy in all of this. She had a fiancee, a love she'd always dreamed of. She had kind, loving subjects to rule over. She had the attentions of her people, and the protection of quite the armed man in Hansel. Regardless of his cold demeanor, he always treated her with respect and dignity, for the most part- that, and he always made her feel safe, which was  undoubtedly one of the most important things to offer a Princess in a time of political or social unrest.
As the world around her continued, however, Elsa's had stopped. She knew this because each time she tried to get through to the Queen of Arendelle, life would flash backwards into that fateful coronation night. The stormclouds would gather outside, and Anna could hear the distant roar of an oncoming snowstorm, and know that despite everything- her sister was stuck in that night. It made Anna ache so, but the longer it went on, the more difficult she found it to hold out her sadness. Frustration was beginning to gnaw at her heart as much as pity and mourning was. It was a strange state of internal affairs that she had not shared with even her closest companion for the times, Hans.
And oh, what a companion he was! Hans always knew the proper moves to make, advised her for or against certain actions, right down to her very word choice when addressing the people of Arendelle. There was not a time he lead her astray, he was quite the born leader. Although there was one matter they did not see eye-to-eye on; he wanted her to stop bothering Elsa, give her time to rest and come along on her own. Anna could not accept that this was the solution, letting her sister wither and wallow in her room alone for as long as it took. What if it was another ten years? What if she died in that room, alone and scared of herself?
So though Anna did not give up, her visits became less frequent. She knew it was best if she visited at night, when the kingdom was asleep, and any fast weather changes would pass by morning and go almost completely unnoticed. She huddled by the door and tried to remind Elsa of the days she could only vaguely remember, of building snowmen and sledding. She tried to remind her of the small but lovely chat they'd had about chocolate and the Duke of Weselton...
        Nothing worked. Anna grew weary.
Days like these, however, cheered her up very quickly. She strolled with Hansel as she usually did this time of day, being a chatterbox as she always was. Perhaps he didn't notice it, or perhaps if he did, he simply didn't care enough to think of it; but these were times Anna did a lot more observing than really conversing about anything. She knew he was quiet. As long as she kept talking about anything, everything, she could keep watching him. She recognized his postures now, the way he'd gently incline his head, how very bright his eyes could get when he found something amusing even if it was sort of cruel to think it (Anna thought of the times she'd let it slip that she still read fairy tales even as a grown princess.) She liked to try and peice together the little, idle puzzle that was Hans' twin. How...different they were was somehow so charming.
Just as she was about to launch into the oh-so-interesting tale of how, as a child, she'd climbed to the top of the bookshelves in the library only to find a little family of mice resting between almanacs, she let out a cry of surprise. Hans, her very own betrothed, was spinning her around in great enthusiasm. She laughed merrily, and once she was on her feet, spun to face him and give him a proper hug.
"Hans!" She cheered, all smiles and brightness. She turned to Hansel and gave him a sidelong, playful look. "You give plenty of space, shush, you're always welcome to stay. It would be rude to tell you to go. Besides, his good mood should be shared." she turned her gaze upon her fiancee once again and let her fingers entwine behind his neck.
"But what does put you in particularly good spirits today?"
{♔} —- Days later, and Queen Elsa still had not emerged.
The distance seemed to agree with her, however. There were days when Hans could even forget that she was there, quietly tucked away in her room. Days when the skies were clear and the sunshine bright, days where Hans knew nothing but long meals and wedding plans.
But Anna couldn’t forget. Or wouldn’t. Between the cake tastings and dress fittings, she would slip up to Elsa’s room and knock rhythmically upon that sorry door. Once, with Hans at her side.
“Go away, Anna!” was the Queen’s only reply, and not amount of coaxing, pleading or, yes, even singing would convince Elsa to emerge. Ice, instead, seeped from beneath her door, coating the hallway with long, jagged marks of frost–and outside the castle, a storm ragged in earnest, fueled the Queen’s terrible fears.
“Please, just stay away! I’m dangerous! You’ll only make it worse!”
Hans didn’t go back to Elsa’s door after that, and he encouraged Anna not to, either. Just give the Queen some space, let her come out in her own time. But Anna was as stubborn as she was hopeful, and with each knock came a quick and deadly snowstorm, blanketing all of Arendelle in ice.
Most of the diplomats had gone by then. When the seas were calm, they sailed back to their homeland, full of stories about Arendelle’s fearsome Queen and–hopefully–her brave sister. Hans knew that the nobles would speak of only two things from their journey: Elsa’s outburst, and how they were cared for afterwards.
It was… oddly ideal, for Prince Hans. The reigning Queen had locked herself away, now all but a monster in the eyes of her people. It would not be long before the commonfolk threw their support behind the bright and cheerful Princess Anna, and of course, her new husband. Elsa’s magic, of course, was unpredictable, but not too bothersome in Hans’ eyes; it was hardly different than living against the sea, where a strong wave or a hurricane could strike at any moment. It was a risk, but not so terrible a risk that he wanted to leave.
Hans had his brother–the brother he liked, at least, and the rest where far across the sea. He had a fiancee, and soon, he would be King. Was it any wonder, then, that he woke in such a fine mood?
There was Anna, walking with Hansel towards the dining room for breakfast. A feeling of uncharacteristic playfulness overtook him–a feeling that Hans would not have indulged if he did not trust Anna and Hansel so completely.
Like a shot, Hans sprinted down the hall, wrapped his arms around Anna’s waist and spun her thrice around.

are you still active??
I have half a dozen anon (and non-anon) asks in my inbox like this, and I finally know my answer.
The fact of thematter is...I'm officially going on hiatus.
Look, here's theproblem: the Frozen roleplay fandom on tumblr is dead. With no new, substantial content, the fandom has moved onto other things, andthat's totally okay. Unfortunately, this means that there are lessand less active Frozen roleplay blogs to interact with. I likecrossovers, but there aren't a lot of open, non-clique Disney blogs Icould see myself interacting with long-term. I'm primarily a shippingblog, and my ultimate ship is Hans/Anna. That being said, Iknow...literally three active Hans blogs, and one of them does notclick with me.
TLDR; I'm out ofpeople to interact with. I have partners in firelordhans andpriincecharmless, but they are both very busy, and priince seems tohave lost muse for the time being. I am different in that I am nevertoo busy or too tired or anything like that to roleplay, and Anna hasbeen strong and stable in my head for two full years, so I've had noissues writing for her. I know it can't be like that for everyone.I've even made some new rp blogs on the side to cope with not havinganything to do here, but for now it's dead, and that's okay. Itotally get that.
I need long-term,frequent-response threads to be happy on a blog. Shortform quips arefun, but not really something I enjoy doing too much of, or in placeof heavy paragraph rp. So for right now, until my Hans pals becomeless busy and/or develop more of a muse, I am officially on hiatus.
I hope youunderstand! There's just not much for me to do here if they are notaround, because there are not really any other Hans (or Kristoff)blogs to interact with. Thank you for sticking around, I hope to seeyou soon, and have a Happy New Year!

Why do you play Anna so needy???
Tumblr media
Because she IS needy. Have you seen Frozen? Anna is in need of LOVE, of affection, of human contact and conversation and relationships. She NEEDS those things, she craves and aches for them at her very core. She is in need of things and she seeks them out- like a normal human fucking being would.
I don't play her 'needy', I play her with needs. You moron.

You always seem to make Anna the damsel in distress, she always seems to need Hans to rescue her emotionally or physically. Anna is a strong character who can take care of herself. Why do you reduce her to this?
Tumblr media
I was hoping this would never come up, but I guess the fun just never ends.
Look, if you’re specifically referring to The Prince Wears Prada, the longstanding thread I have with @priincecharmless, I can see how you’d make this stupid assumption that I place Anna in the role of helpless, distressed little girl. The last confrontational arc we had involved Elsa tearing down Anna’s sense of safety and security and self-worth by just BEING IN THE SAME ROOM as her sister, and then Hans had to go to her place and bring her back around. Before that, we had a lot of mini rescues in bars and clubs and stuff. All of this might lead you to believe that Anna is going to be the helpless little princess in her tower, while Hans swoops in to slay the dragon. But here’s the thing: Pradaverse isn’t even at the HALF WAY mark. There is so much still to do.
PRADAVERSE SPOILERS***In the next arc, there is gonna be a LOT of back-and-forth saving from crazy ex girl/boyfriends, and even further down the line, Hans is gonna slip into a very dark place where Anna needs to pull him out of so that Flaunt doesn’t go to shit as a company.***END PRADAVERSE SPOILERS
If your conclusions were from outside of Pradaverse, I want to point you to a few other verses, in which Anna is legitimately a superhero, in which Anna is part of a sorority and Hans does crazy shit and she takes care of him when it gets too far out of control, and a number of other AUs I haven’t drafted starters for, in which Anna is a spy with a unique set of engineering skills the team would be lost without, a lawyer that bails out the Westergaard mafia singlehandedly, and even a verse in which Anna is the pilot of a spaceship with a particularly curious AI onboard.
I try VERY hard not to make Anna the victim, and I think I succeed. She is a strong, intelligent young Princess with courage, determination, and a LOT of heart. She can be naive, she does need rescuing sometimes- but we all do. I don’t think I ‘reduce’ Anna to anything. You’re seeing such a small snippet of my characterization for her, and it’s not fair to draw conclusions based only on one thread that isn’t anywhere near completed yet. If you’re referencing another verse- mutantverse for example- please tell me, so I can knock you down on that, too.

There's just no way you got not one but TWO rpers to agree to this self-indulgent bullshit. You're a mediocre anna at best and it's unreal that you're trying to pull this twins bullshit lol.
let me fill u in on some things.priincecharmless and i have been talking about a hans sandwich even BEFORE i got her to make a blog. firelordhans is responsible for more than half of the current plot for the cakeverse. i am a filthy fangirl who likes twincest and threesomes. so, you're right on one count, it IS pretty self-indulgent- but these two wouldnt have agreed to it if they weren't also on board with self-indulgence. we're all getting something out of this. in my time, i've shipped anna with characters not even part of frozen's canon. this is literally the most tame fuckin thing in comparison to, oh, idk, that entire verse i have on the side where anna is a theif and falls in love with lupin iii??????? like come on. come ON. I ALMOST HAD HER FUCK A DRAGON ONCE!!!!!!!! WHY IS CAKEVERSE THE MOST UNBELIEVABLE THING FOR U????

"He likes you," Hans promised. "I promise. He's just trying to show respect. If he didn't like you, he'd have left Arendelle by now. Probably taken me with him, too. Not as dramatic as a snowstorm in summer, but effective..." Hans chuckled at his own joke. "If you want to get to know Hansel better, just talk to him--but not while he's busy. Take a note of what he's reading, then question him about it after he's put it down. He'll appreciate that you thought to ask!"
Tumblr media
"That seems almost too simple." She smiled though, and filed it away for future reference. Next time she spotted Hansel with a book, she'd definitely try that out. There was no reason not to try every little tip she was given. She just hoped that he wasn't always reading something too dull, or she'd have zero interest in the conversation that followed her forced question...
"But if you say so, I'll try it. You know him best, after all." Secretly, Anna wondered if Hans knew just how lucky he was, to have at least one sibling in a sea of them who loved him.
"I'm getting cold, we really should get going..."

Hans chuckled at that, hoping that he hadn't given too much away by stoking the fires. He gave Anna's hand a reassuring squeeze. "I didn't mean it like that, love. I don't resent Hansel as I rival. I *want* you to get along with him. Love him, even. I only meant that if you'd met him first instead of me, you'd think that he was warm and kind, and *I* would seem like the distant one. Perspective is funny like that. Maybe you'd be engaged to a different Westergard. Maybe not. We'll never know."
Tumblr media
Love him? Love Hansel?           Oh, she was sure she could do that. It wasn't hard. He was just...a cookie to crack, a tough nut to crumble? Or something like that. He had an exterior shell that she just had to figure out how to soften and bust through, that was all. She wanted to get along with Hansel, too, she wanted him to like her back. No, no, loving Hansel was not the problem- it was Hansel loving her.
"I do like him." she said quietly. "I like him very much, Hans, I just- don't know if he likes me. I'm not a very good judge of that, though, seeing as the only person who ever liked me locked herself in a room for over a decade and then when she finally came out, she yelled at me for falling in love and told me to leave, and then turned out to have ice magic and-" she ran her hand over her face, heaving a sigh as she realized she was getting all worked up again.
"I just want to find out more about him. Figure out what he likes! Other than ships. And quiet. And glaring at people...then, if I know what he likes, I can try to show an interest! Maybe that will spark something I can recognize!" she was overthinking it quite a bit, but she couldn't help it; she was excited at the prospect of a plan to get Hansel to like her.
Maybe a bit too excited, seeing as the man she was to marry was already hers.

"Hansel isn't as bad as all that," Hans half-grinned. "He smiles when there's reason to. Just ask his crew--they adore him. Camaraderie, you know?" In truth, that was a skill Hans never had. His warmth with Anna was an exception, not a rule. Hans was usually withdrawn; polite, yes, but secretive. Distant. "The people of Arendelle seem to like me well enough, but it's nothing like the admiration of Hansel's crew. If you'd met him at the party instead of me... Things would be very different."
Tumblr media
"What do you mean by that?" Anna blinked a few times, tilting her head and giving him a slight frown. She certainly didn't like  the sound of his voice, the way he kind of implied...something...she didn't grasp fully. It seemed like he was saying she might be better off with him? Or that somehow things would be better with him in charge? She didn't think it sounded like Hans, to put himself down that way, but...siblings brought out new sides of people in the strangest ways.
"I'm glad I met you instead." She told him honestly. "I wouldn't have fallen in love with Hansel. You're the one that I want." she kissed his cheek and gave him a small, yet bright smile. "Now, come on. We should get to making the rounds with the fire again. Somehow you just have this magic touch to get them all roaring!"
