I'm so glad that the "leaked" ending wasn't real and I actually kinda predicted it?

Like this is all I wanted was for Miss Pauling (whose name is Flo Pauling btw) to Break the cycle of war and generational trauma but finally thinking about herself instead of the Administor! And she fucking did! I'm so proud of my girl!!!

Solly and Zhanna has kids - General Patton and Georgia Washington! The latter was a common name for one of his kids in fanon so it was fun to kind become canon. Zhanna also got a cool prosthetic which is I've seen in a lot of fanart which is really cool!

And I'm so glad that we did get to see what happens and we didn't get to ignore 7 years ago.

Spy saving Miss P from the plane idk why but it made me emotional. Like I love their friendship so much 😭

We finally got the team with Engi! I wish we could have gotten a proper reunion together but we needed to hear about Admin.

And I love how Olivia Mann is basically adopted by Saxton and Bidwell. Now that Saxton is leaving with Olivia Bidwell and adventuring with Maggie I presume that they're going to basically become the Indiana Jones crossed with the  Irwin's and the incredibles family.

And I was totally right about Scout being dad material! I think it heavily implied that most of his siblings are actually his half siblings as his mom went through multiple marriages.

His last name is Willis and he kids are names Tanya, Tammy, Tommy all named after Tom Jones!

(Which is funny knowing how Scouts siblings are headcannoned to all have names staring with J and his Kids names all start with T)

You know Scout is the type to take his kids to lil league baseball and swim meets and volunteer at their elementary school! I knew that out of all of them he'd have the most normal domestic life.

Also since it's almost the 80s Scout hair is growing out to reflect the new styles of the time and is starting to resemble Jerry Seinfeld.

And Spy is so proud of Scout and just him being the first to show up to Thanksgiving? Christmas? I can't tell. And then he fumbles trying so hard not to explain that he's the kids grandfather and goes into "I'm an old friend from work" I guess habits die hard. But then he plays "assassin princess" with his granddaughter by giving her his mask! CurtMegaJamesBond MichaelBublélookingmotherfucker

And it's a sign that he's finally able to let his guard down and be apart of not just the team but his family!

Miss P sent them all gift!

And then Demo with his Mom and Heavy and all his sisters and mom and nieces and nephews Sniper with the grey hair and Engie and pyro with their Dalmatian and Medic has the bonesaw to cut the turkey!!!!

They're come together as a happy family and team!!! It's all so wholesome and beautiful and surreal that it came out before I was done with my fic!

My one complaint is not having enough of dialogue and interaction between the different mercs! I would a have loved more insight on Demo especially!

I know how presumably most of the mercs are retired and have split up and go into more illegal jobs that caters towards their skills before they retired in general but like what other shenanigans happened In their 7 years?

But I guess that leads to more fic material for me! Anyways I'm so giddy and love that we got a mega happy ending with mercs as one big extended family friends!

Ok ok so I have just been hit by a vision from God himself.

What if Spy is the youngest of like a million brothers. Just like Scout. He’s the weeny runt of the litter that all his older brothers love but make fun of constantly. Little baby man.

So much for being that posh, fancy lad. Here’s a bunch of guys who can tell you how he spent half his life running around in their over-sized hand-me-down clothes while playing in mudflats and gutters. And how he threw up and cried when one of them persuaded him to try a cigarette for the first time. And how he got his ass beat by the local baker when he got caught stealing croissants. And how he used to sneak around to try and avoid his older brothers play-fighting with him because he’d always lose. And how he was weirdly obsessed with knives as a teen and they all joked he’d grow up to be some kind of serial killer.

(I’m sure none of this had any impact on the man he grew up to be.)
