"The next one to fall down a flight of stairs? Is there a list of people who've punished." Hitch says with a sly smirk as she takes her share of the Jerky taking a bite out of it. It was a bit lower quality than what she was used to, but not by that much, it was just Jerky after all.
"Life is hard? At least you're not one of those crazies who go parading outside of the walls." Hitch was never a fan of the recon corps, they get paid less, and they're the most likely to kick the bucket. That said the ones who do survive get labeled as heroes, which was probably a really good title in the grand scheme of things.
"Well for the Military Police we get the assured safety in the inner walls for one. Our sleeping quarters are much better than the ones here." She says as she takes another hefty bite out of the Jerky. "The walls are decorated with beautiful art from the best artists around, we have slaves fanning us with giant pieces of cloth, you know. The standard." She says that last part with a heavily sarcastic tone, her smirk from before still hanging over her face.
"In the terms of duties, Rookies have to act like real suck-ups or we get in major shit, we might be -let go- and all that stuff, we run the operations of the inner walls a lot of the stuff you do in the Garrison we also do, to top that off rookies get forked off to do all the officers jobs because they're far to lazy themselves."
With the end of that rant she lets out a yawn and stretches her arms out. "I joined the Military Police because they were corrupt, if I knew I'd get all the work I might of just joined the Garrison."

Well. While that was quite a list to take in all the basic events sound very familiar, it can be likened to the Military Police's own movements on the inner walls, of course in this case Garrison members would at least have their officer's aid. Unlike in the Military Police where everything was forked off to the rookies. Then to top that off lower ranks had to handle the jobs of all the officers on top of that. It might be somewhat relaxing only doing the smaller odd jobs instead of reading over papers and signing them off for someone else.
Upon hearing the prospect of food her head perked up slightly, to be honest she hadn't eaten much since she came here. "You sure are a Grade-A slacker aren't you?" She says with a slight smile. "Sure I'll have something."

Hitch extends her own hand out with a sigh. "If any Garrison small-fries try to get frisky and I 'accidentally' push them off the wall I'll know to blame, I'm Hitch,"
To be honest this entire assignment felt like bollocks, but it probably won't be all bad in the end. She'll just have to avoid a fe- most people due to the Military Police's less than reputable status. She was pretty much an example of why the reputation went around in the first place.
She might just end up sitting around and doing nothing though, which will be somewhat a gift, she was getting sick of passing papers and trying to be overly presentable to her superiors when they just laze around the place.

WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST HUMAN MEMORY?
"What kind of a question is that? Here I was hoping for something more interesting. If I say anything other than playing with little tiny wooden trainsets as I laid them carefully around the house to trip people over it just sounds boring."

Most soldiers generally do assume that the Military Police were the least experienced of the bunch when it came to titans, which in all respects is completely true, but the assumption that most of them had never SEEN a titan is totally wrong.
"I've seen two, I knew one of the floozies personally, she was apparently a shifter or whatever, the girl got me thrown in detainment for awhile." She says with a dejected sigh.
She pauses there, she was tempted to ask Chance if he had seen any, it was probably a yes considering she read of the massive Garrison operation awhile back, while tempted to poke and prod she didn't do so for now, she had SOME respect, even if she herself was a lazy solider.

You know, this guy was alright. Twirling her hair in her free hand she sighs and continues talking. "Oh I'm well aware of the bullshit they fed me for my 'mission'." She pouts slightly in annoyance. "They probably just wanted to get me out of their hair and all really."
With a sigh she continues. "I'm Hitch, if you think being a Rookie is all dreams in the Military Police, how about you go and visit them directly? I'm sure they'll treat you to every luxury on the planet." She says with a small smile, yeah, luxuries, if by that she meant every damn job on the planet yeah. I guess it's right.
"I even signed up to get out of that stuff. Some corrupt system it is." She says as she puts her hands on her hips and looks past Chance over the wall.

Reading his reaction was quite funny she had to be honest, if everyone was like this one here it won't be too bad. How to go about from here though? She could always pull the 'I'm most likely your superior, where's the respect boy?' card. Might be a nice change from all the saluting she had to do...
Nah, maybe later, she wasn't directly on duty at the moment. "To Strengthen the relationship between the Military Police and the Garrison." She says the line with a mockingly rehearsed voice. Putting her finger on her lip she pondered aloud. "So maybe I'm here to steal your job, would you like to swap? After all you seem to just be sitting around doing nothing all day."

Really, this was complete bollocks. Hitch only recently got freed from jail after having the suspicion against her lifted, and then the superiors send her off to go 'Strengthen the Relationship between the Military Police and the Garrison' Oh, and take notes on what's happening too.
All she knew was she was in for a load of butthurt, it's no sudden news that the Military Police are a corrupt bunch, pretty much everyone in the army knows that, as such she was somewhat dreading spending some time out on the edge of the walls as Garrison people walk past her to fling insults.
It was just such a pain, she wanted to sit around and do nothing, that was why she joined the Military Police in the first place, but no, they force everything on the rookies, filing paperwork, handling patrols, organizing merchant transport, all that stuff.
On reflection maybe she should of joined the Garrison, most of their grunts get to sit on the walls and do nothing, plus with the recent success of the Recon Corps the walls are less threatening everyday right?
All this wandered through her mind as she trekked across the edge of the wall, a Military Police Rifle was strapped around her right shoulder, and her hips were adorned with a 3D Gear set that had only recently seen some use.
On her only trek she spotted one person that was far too close to the edge, maybe she could distract herself with some fun or conversation? If questioned about why she was late or an unprofessional attitude she could pass it off as a officer being concerned for her comrades or something.
Hitch casually continues her trek until she as approximately behind the boy as she stood in the middle of the wall, calling out she says. "Maybe you should watch out, it'd be a real problem if some titan suddenly appeared and grabbed you." She says casually twirling her hair in her right pinky finger.

It wasn’t supposed...

Finally!
The man in front of her was going on and on about a bunch of semi-important things, but it didn't matter much to Hitch, she had finally been freed from what felt like an eternity of detainment and allowed back onto the Military Police Brigade.
Of course she thought the reason she was detained in the first place was stupid, Annie a fellow squad member actually turned out to be a titan. Like seriously, who would of guessed that? Then suddenly because Annie was in the same squad, Hitch got detained for no reason! Talk about total bollocks.
With a nod she collected the papers from the man across from her, after forcing out a salute in response to the man's own she managed to maneuver her way out of the twisting corridors. For a moment her mind wandered on her other squad mates, she had heard Annie had been captured it was all her fault that the squad was detained in the first place, so screw her. (Not to mention the entire being a titan thing. But Hitch didn't really feel like pondering on that right now mystery) She hadn't heard from Marlow since her detainment and wondered if he would be alright, he was already in trouble with some of the higher-ups due to his attitude, seriously, that guy was for real, working his way up the military police ranks to fix the corruption within? He'd have to bribe he was up or something or he'd never reach his goal. Other squad members were in the exact same boat as her, so she assumed they'd be released eventually.
For now, as Hitch stepped out of the jail, back into the sunlight that shone out across the city in front of her and the walls that boarded its rims, she let out a yawn accompanied by a long stretch. "Well! Time to see what other work they'll force on me today."
