Just thinking about the Suicide Squad deleted scene mentioned in this James Gunn interview that has been making the rounds:

I'm guessing it's the same scene that Peter mentioned in his interview on Virgin Radio UK:

And unfortunately we cut from the film, there was a long scene where my character (Thinker) tries to kind of 'Hannibal Lecter' David's character (Polka Dot Man), which in fact they used in one of the trailers as a voice-over, one of the trailers where I try take him to pieces.

Thinker had already tried to rile Ratcatcher 2 up earlier and I can imagine him trying to do the same to Polka Dot Man and King Shark. Using his words (or powers? mind control?) to drive a wedge between the team and turn them against each other. Luring them to do "one blessed act of rebellion" in order to "restore [their] dignity". Sounds like a pretty intense scene where you can have character development and build character depth. Plus showcase how dangerous/manipulative the Thinker truly can be.

That might also help to explain why Polka Dot Man was very wary of Thinker in the rooftop scene.

In 1x09, Five tells dolores that he spent 23 500 000 minutes with her. That’s 16 319 days. Given that when he found his siblings the blood on the eye wasn’t dry and he was trying to wake diego up, it’s pretty safe to say that he appeared the next day after the apocalypse. Which means he got Dolores since day 1.

45 years is, according to google, 16 425  days.

16 425 - 16 319 is 106. Even with some salt, that’s still circa 3 and a half months.

Five was at the commission for 3 and a half months.

Luther and Five 1x02 background convo:

Ok so it’s SO HARD to hear but in episode 2 when it cuts to Pogo showing Allison the recording room you can literally hear young Five and young Luther having a conversation about Five time traveling in the background. I tried to transcribe it as best I could. It might not be completely accurate and it’s very broken but I did my best.

Luther: (...) the math (...)

Five: *scoff*

Luther: you never (...)

Five: I’m going to ask dad to show me how to time travel.

Luther: (...) Dad (...)

*unintelligible talking/arguing*

Luther: (...) that’s not true (...)

Five: (...) I was just tired and forgot I (...)

Luther: You’re not dad (...) I’m the designated (...)

Five: Luther, how long is that (...)

*unintelligible*

Five: No I’m going. I leave tomorrow. *pause* What about you?

Anyway, it’s really hard to hear over Pogo and Allison talking and I’m low key annoyed that you can’t hear it better or they never released the audio as like a behind the scenes thing but it is there! I really wish there was a way I could turn up the background audio and turn down the foreground audio but alas I don’t have the capability. If anyone wants to give it a listen and has a better ear please feel free. I’d really like to know what all they were saying lol

Ok, so in 2x07, when Five gets change from the lady at the lodge before going to kill the Board, he says, "Some say the best luck is to die at the right time"

And then in 2x10, when the Handler notices that he didn't die with the rest of his siblings after gunning them down, she taunts him. "Oh good. You're still alive. Lucky you. You got to see how this all played out."

So Five is lucky because once again, when his family dies, he is the last one standing. Especially this time, because he doesn't die instantly like the rest of them, he's slowly bleeding out. He still has time. He died at the "right time" by not dieing at all. By managing to stay alive just a little bit longer.
