Saja Boys Headcannons: On a Roadtrip
Jinu: He is a gentleman through and through. Yes, he opens the passenger door for you. Yes, he never lets you drive. Yes, he always stops to get you food when you’re hungry. However, he also makes fun of you for anything he can think of, like if you have to go to the bathroom more often (“How much water did you drink, anyway?”) or if you fall asleep on the drive (“You’re such a boring roadtrip partner. How could you fall asleep on me?”). If you do fall asleep, he will play loud rock to wake you up and chortle when you startle at it. Makes fun of you for literally anything he can think of (he loves you). Holds your hand while he drives, and kisses it softly every few minutes.
Abby: You will never drive. Abby races to the driver’s seat to make sure you never drive, then reaches over to open the car door from the inside, giving you a self satisfied grin. You will not be able to rest while driving with him. He is constantly chattering to you and poking you or grabbing your hand. He likes resting his hand on your thigh, and tells you that yes, he did specifically learn to drive with only one hand so he could do this with his future partner. Buys you all the food you like. Sings loudly along to songs that you don’t necessarily like, but it’s endearing anyway, especially when he taps your thigh along to the beat and sings to you in the most lovable, albeit comical manner. Time passes quickly when you drive with Abby, because you have so much fun.
Mystery: He does not usually drive. He will if you ask him to, but it’s not his default. He’s content to sit in the passenger seat, and prefers to either listen to whatever audiobook or songs you like at the moment. He also likes listening to you rant about whatever crosses your mind, it’s comforting to him. When he sees a store or restaurant that he wants to go to, his mouth will open in a little “o”, and he’ll tap your arm and point to whatever caught his eye. When you agree to go to whatever he pointed to, he smiles the cutest, softest little smile you’ve ever seen. He likes holding your fingers while you drive, or if you can’t spare a hand, will content himself with your hoodie or plushie, cradling it in his arms and burying his face in it. He will fall asleep this way.
Romance: You are his passenger princess. He loves to hold hands with you while he drives. His car is customized for you. He packs a pillow, blanket, snacks, and water bottle for you. The songs he plays are all songs you and he like, that you discovered while dating. Your side of the car is decorated like a true passenger princess. He has a scent plugin on his vents: your favorite scent. And before you start the drive, he’s already pulling into your favorite drink place to order you something.
Baby: 100% passenger princess. He is an ipad kid. As soon as he slides into the passenger seat, he’s glued to his ipad, earbuds in, already listening to a show he downloaded. He enjoys acting childish a lot, so he likes it when you buy coloring sheets for him. No, not actual kiddy coloring sheets. He’ll take the cool mythology coloring book, thank you very much. And the 64-set of assorted gel pens, colored pencils, and markers. Baby loves snacking in the car, it soothes his high energy to have something to chew on. He likes salty, crunchy, and sweet snacks the most, and neglects to drink as much water as he should. Doesn’t talk a lot during the roadtrip, but will occasionally laugh out loud at whatever he’s watching.

Saja Summer Job! | Ch 3: Hell Week Pt 1
Saja Boys x Reader Genre: Mild romance, comedy, fluff Summary: Y/n has started her first full week as a content writer for the Saja Boys, and work is already ramping up. Not only does she have to deal with strict deadlines, but Jinu wants everything to be perfect... what a hassle. Welcome to Hell Week, Part 1. Warnings: cursing Prelude Chapter 1 Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Y/n tapped her pencil against her notebook. She stared at the boys in front of her, then at the pavement, and then at her arm. There was nothing she could do. It was hot. She counted the droplets of sweat appearing on her arm, fascinated, but only briefly. You see, she was already done with her to-do list for the day, and was ready to get a move on with her next task. Instead, however, of continuing to get tasks to prepare for the teaser, or even taking a well-deserved lunch break, she was stuck, mid-afternoon, in a hard fold-up chair, in summer, waiting. She started crossing out the items on her list, hoping, wishing for any reprieve from the arduous, boring, nerve-racking task of waiting.
My stuff to do:
Mention teaser on all social media profiles on Tues
Check. She had done that this morning.
Mention Running Man variety show airing soon on socials
Check. The boys had done that show in February, and it was airing this Saturday. Not to be confused with the Game Caterers show they were filming this Friday. Or was it Saturday too? Whatever. She moved on to the next part of the list.
Keeping up with the Saja Boys: Teaser edition
Group needs to make choreography
Check. Apparently, Jinu had it done two days after Romance had shown him the lyrics he’d been working on. Talk about a workaholic. She glanced at Jinu now. He was sweating and motioning to the other idols wildly. Somehow, he still looked handsome, even though his movements were so dynamic and comical. Somehow too, his armpits remained dry through all this, even when she could see heat radiating from the pavement. She took a sip from her water bottle.
Casual wear costumes need to be finished
Nope. It’d only been a day since Mystery sent off the designs. Hopefully his team could do magic, otherwise they weren’t getting those costumes in time for when Jinu wanted to film the teaser. Y/n moved on quickly from that point.
Group needs to learn the song
Big check. Apparently Abby had been singing it in the shower. According to Baby, there was no way the idols DIDN’T know the lyrics after how often he’d been singing it.
Group needs to learn choreo
And this was where Y/n was stuck now. Partial check, in her opinion. Not in Jinu’s, though. To him there was no progress at all. She eyed the group practicing in front of her. Will they even be done in time for the teaser release? Romance was moving slightly sluggishly, a stark contrast from his usual easy, deliberate movements. Baby had more gusto than everyone else, performing the dance moves in sharp, practiced motions. Abby, usually the most energetic of the group, seemed the slowest. Y/n chewed her lip, sympathetic. It must be hard to dance with muscles like that. And then there was Jinu. Giving it his all, like always. He was not satisfied with the performance of the group, and was also the only thing standing between Y/n and her lunch break. Y/n drew blood from gnawing on the inside of her cheek. With Jinu pushing them this hard… will we have time? She worried the cut with her tongue. It’s a stark deadline. We’ve already- I’ve already announced it on the socials. She looked down at the rest of her to-do list.
Jinu wants to film everyone singing the entire song so he has a base
Then they sing + film the teaser part of the song
Then I and Baby need to edit the teaser
Jinu and I will go over the teaser again w Baby
I post the teaser
That was the plan. Again, Y/n thought the choreography looked great as it was. Hell, they could probably start shooting the teaser now, if not for the lack of costumes. But Jinu, god rest his perfect soul, did not agree. Holy. Shit. Her stomach clenched painfully. She looked at her watch again but Jinu called loudly for a break. She sighed in relief, but caught her expression when she saw Jinu walking purposefully towards her. Aw fuck. What now?
“Y/n,” he started intensely. Off to a great start. “What did you think of the choreography? And the lineup at the beginning? Were our poses good? Will the fans like it? I mean,  I know it wasn’t perfect,” he shot a glance to Abby, who drooped and looked down as he gathered his things. “But how were the movements? Did it go with the idea of the song? Did it make sense? Is it what the fans want?”
“Yes, but slow down, Jinu,” Y/n pressed her fingers to her temples. “Yes, I think the choreography was fine. I’m not an expert, but since you’re asking me as a fan–” she looked at Jinu, who nodded, prompting her to continue. “I think it looks good.” Y/n hesitated, and decided not to say anything about Jinu potentially overworking the idols. After all, she wasn’t an idol, and had no experience with these things. They would probably dislike it if she spoke up like that, especially a newbie like her. It would be better if she stayed silent, and just supported them, regardless of if she disagreed with what Jinu was doing, and was worried about the timing. Besides, Jinu looked pleased. Y/n took a breath to calm her nerves. It’s just choreography. No reason to be anxious. I can’t control the pace at which we go. I can only control my own actions. Y/n’s breath hitched. I only control my actions. Surely they aren’t expecting me to overcorrect if they take longer–  She took another sip of water hastily, catching Romance’s eye as he walked towards her.
“Yes?”
Romance smiled. The wind touched upon his hair, waving the two front strands back, perfectly fluffed. It’s as if that breeze only existed to make him look like a prince. “Would you like to join me while I pick out accessories for the costumes? I could do it myself of course,” he ran a hand through his meticulously breeze-styled hair, “but I wouldn’t mind an extra opinion.”
Y/n paused. “I can’t tell. Do you genuinely want me there or are you just being flippant?” She cocked her head in question.
Romance stared at her for a second, then chuckled lightly at her forward question. The girl leaned forward, frowning lightly. “Well?”
“I’m inviting you, as our content creator and someone who knows what the fans want. Plus, you have good style, lovely.”
Y/n blushed lightly. “Thank you,” she thought for a moment and shrugged her shoulders, seemingly satisfied with his answer and good charm. She picked her bag up and gestured to Romance, eager to leave.
“Lead the way. I’m excited to see what ideas you have.”
Romance smiled archly back. “You’ll see.”
☆—☆—☆—☆—☆
“Hmmm…” Y/n tapped her finger against her chin lightly. She had been worried Romance might have been offput by her lack of manners earlier, but she wasn’t sure and she couldn't let herself be distracted by such nervous thoughts while she was working. She already had deadlines to worry about.
“Maybe some silver on this one… Rings? What do you think about cherry blossoms when this outfit is onscreen? And this khaki belt.”
Romance took a look at the phone she held in front of his face. “I do like those. Send me links to buy them, please.”
Y/n nodded happily, kicking her feet. Romance smiled quietly at the cute actions of this human girl. Her bluntness could be a little surprising and awkward, but if it meant she kicked her feet when she was happy… Romance froze. Y/n had shoved her phone in his face again.
“Oops, sorry.” She amended the closeness. Her phone had an image of a cropped blue jean jacket, fashionably ripped.
“Ohh,” Romance took her phone to see it closer. It was perfect for the streetwear image he had planned. He pulled out his sketches.
“Look at these, I think they go well together.” Y/n leaned over the pages he showed her, marveling at his designs.
“Wow, they really do work together. Oh, I saw a good belt for this one at the mall over the weekend. A good hat too. Oh, and this one would look lovely with this necklace I saw there! We should go to the mall for more options, instead of buying everything online.”
“Perfect, it’s a date,” Romance purred. Y/n swiveled her head to give him a look that seemed to be a mix of shock, disgust, and confusion, but quickly corrected her face. She went back to working like nothing happened. Then, she turned to Romance slowly.
“Romance,” she paused, seemingly worried.
“What is it, darling?”
“Do you think… will the designs be done in time?”
“Of course, why do you ask?” he chuckled. “You shouldn’t worry yourself about these kinds of things, it’s covered.”
“But…” Y/n chewed her lip nervously. “You submitted the designs yesterday. Most tailor shops take weeks for all these orders, and Jinu, he- he wants it done so early, only a week–!” Y/n squeezed her hands together in her lap.
“Y/n,” Romance frowned as he took her hands in his own. “Trust me. My team is more than capable of finishing on time. You don’t have to worry about your work being affected.”
Y/n looked at him gratefully and gave a small laugh. She pulled her hands away quickly, murmuring a quiet “thank you”.
Romance chuckled under his breath at her silly response, but she paused as if a thought had struck her.
“What about makeup?” Romance raised a brow at the sudden switch in her attitude.
“What about it?”
“Well, eyeliner. I think it might look good with the vibe you’re going for.”
“Then we’ll do it. I trust your instinct,” Romance breathed. Y/n blushed again, eyes darting from him to the designs to her phone.
“What kind of eyeliner do you think? I’ve never tried it.”
Y/n thought to herself. “Something subtle, but I know there will be close up shots in the song, and fans will probably go crazy for it. Other idols have done it in their promos too.”
“I’d have to see how it looks on me first. Any chance you could do it for me real quick?” Romance hinted. Y/n tapped her finger on her desk.
“I did bring some makeup in my bag for touchups. Let me see what I have,” she rummaged through her purse, and finally held up a pencil, victorious.
“Alright, let’s see,” she leaned over Romance, holding his chin in one hand. He swallowed nervously as she brought the eyeliner pencil to his eye.
“Hold still. Unless you don’t want me to do this?” She paused, waiting for his answer.
“No, it’s fine,” Romance held his breath as she went in again. The feeling of her tracing his eye felt unfamiliar and uncomfortable. He found himself looking at her shirt to distract himself. As she leaned in, he could smell her perfume. He breathed in slowly. It was a sweet, subtle smell. When she moved to start tracing his other eye, he could smell the shampoo from her hair. It smelled like roses. Her hand still cupped the side of his face, and her thumb swiped his cheek. Too soon, she stepped back, surveying her handiwork.
“Alright, all done. Wanna see?” Romance leaned forward, taking the compact mirror she offered. His eyes widened slightly.
“Wow, it looks great,” he snapped the compact shut and held it back to her. “We should do it. You have a talent for picking out these things.”
Y/n smiled and packed the makeup away. “I’m glad you like it. And, Romance?”
“Yes?” he said all too eagerly.
“Thank you. I’m still worried, but… That did help. Thank you.” Y/n smiled at him, and Romance’s heart beat a little faster.
“Anytime.” He smiled at her, chin resting on his hand. He couldn’t stop noticing the smell of roses.
☆—☆—☆—☆—☆
Y/n couldn’t stop the evil grin that spread over her face the next morning. After hearing that she and Romance had wanted to get some accessories from the mall, Jinu had given her the company card to use for “lunch, outfits for the group (including you if you need it), anything business related.” Okay, not exactly what he said word for word, but he did say she could use it to buy clothes and food for herself occasionally. She just had to keep all the receipts of every transaction so Jinu could log them later. That small part didn’t quite sit right with her, though. Usually, expenses would be logged by a financial analyst, not an idol. That’s weird, Y/n had thought to herself, but when she asked Jinu, “Isn’t that not your job?” Abby had jumped in to say “Nah, Jinu’s just really uptight”. To be honest, that did fit with Jinu’s behavior so far, so Y/n shrugged it off, evil grin spreading over her face again. Company card, mwahahahaha. Her phone dinged, distracting her from the greedy plans to try all the local restaurants before the card got taken away. It was a text from Romance. Reminded of the predicament of Jinu’s strict schedule, Y/n’s smile quickly slipped away.
Hey girlie. Outfits are here.
Y/n stopped short. Huh?
Already? It’s only Wednesday What can I say? My people work fast. Get up here
Y/n smiled at the text, relief flooding her heart. She took a deep breath, and ran giddily to the front door, slipping on her shoes. I guess I didn’t need to be worried about this one, she thought to herself as she ran to the elevator. His team really is magic.

Saja Summer Job! | Ch 2: The Stress Begins
Saja Boys x Reader Genre: Mild romance, comedy, fluff Summary: Y/n’s boss has offered her a new assignment: to work as the Saja Boys new content writer. She took it for the cash and the chance to work with her idols, but now that she’s begun… Holy crap, it’s stressful. Warnings: cursing Prelude Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Y/n woke up with a few things in mind. First, Jinu had outlined their expectations the night before:
She was marketing the Saja Boys.
That had been it. Sure, he had been more verbose, strict, and sexy, with his sexy collarbone, but she knew the gist. She gave it some thought, and devised her own guidelines in her notebook:
Build the Saja Boys’ brand
Content planning/research
Know the audience (hell, I am the audience)
Brand identity + strategy
Advertising + articles + blog posts about content circulating
Look at their outfit designs early!!!
She sighed dreamily. Looking at their outfit designs would be a blessing in itself. I wonder if I could swing it… Y/n started suddenly, glancing at the clock. Shit. She started rushing to put up her hair and do light makeup. In a half hour, she would be meeting the idols again in the penthouse to discuss a new song Romance had been writing. She was excited to see the results. Half an hour later, she stood in front of the door, and had barely knocked when the it opened. Romance was leaning against the wall, with straight, loose jeans and a white button up shirt that was pulled up from his forearms. Hot damn. Y/n smiled politely to distract herself from those thoughts. “Hi, Romance. Ready to start?”
“Sure, just a minute. Abs!” He called, and Abby came trotting over.
“Hi, Y/n,” he flashed a smile her way, and time seemed to slow down. His shirt was tight over his shoulders, and had lifted up to expose that babygirl waist she had drooled over on her phone. Then, the moment was gone, and Abby was at the elevator beckoning them over. Y/n dug her nails into her palms, face heating at the thoughts she was having about her clients. Romance guided Y/n away from the door, and she shook her head to clear the thoughts. She had to get her shit together.
“We thought we might go to a cafe while we work. What do you think?”
“Oh, that sounds nice,” Y/n smiled, grateful for the distraction, “but aren’t you worried about getting interrupted by fans?”
“No problem,” Romance smiled at her and stepped into the elevator. He looked down at her, practically looming over her. Y/n felt herself shrinking under his perfect gaze. “We love our fans.”
☆—☆—☆—☆—☆
Y/n stared at the lyrics in front of her, trying to summon the least bit of focus. Abby was also staring at the lyrics, one arm on the back of her chair, knees touching her own. His breath lightly fanned the paper in front of her. Eyes darting back and forth between it and him. When he shifted even closer, she put the lyrics down. Looking straight at him, Y/n scooted her seat a foot away in a clear boundary. Abby seemed to get the hint, since he chuckled and leaned back, so she picked up the lyrics again, having safely preserved her personal space.
Now that she actually looked at them, they were pretty good. She felt her eyebrows crease as they always did when she was interested in something. She hummed to herself. The song title Romance had come up with was “Favor”, and it seemed to follow the same message as “Soda Pop”. “Favor” focused in the same way on how the Saja Boys loved their fans just as much as their fans loved them. The storyline or plot of the song was asking their fans to keep loving them. She leaned back in her chair, brow still furrowed in concentration. It’s got good lyrics.
“Can you sing the intro and first chorus, Romance?”
Romance smiled, and sang as she requested. He was quiet, perhaps taking into account the quiet cafe. Abby nodded along, joining in the parts where harmony was required. Y/n found herself sighing to the lovely sound. Their voices really were perfect. Abby had beautiful harmony, and Y/n could feel her stress dissipating slightly as she listened to the flawless tune. They stopped too quickly, and the silence drew Y/n back to earth. She almost didn’t catch it when Romance added, “I’ll send you the audio we’ve been working on.”
“Oh. Yeah, that'll be great. Um, what image are you going for to promote this? Is it the uh, the same, um, same bright, cheery aesthetic you’ve been using? Thus far?”
“Yes, I–”
A shrill voice cried out. “Oh my gosh is that Abby?” A young woman spoke loudly in the quiet cafe. Abby was already flexing, the damn showoff, prompting shrill screams from the group of women quickly swarming. Y/n covered her ears and stood up. As she backed away, she saw through the window that other people had seen the commotion and were dashing into the cafe. Oh god. What a nightmare. Romance did nothing to calm down the riot, and Y/n could only watch in horror as the flood of people continued to yell and shriek, until she felt her phone buzz in her pocket.
Go to the park nearby. We’ll meet up with you there Destination sent: Yongsan Family Park Will do.
Y/n couldn’t get away from that mess fast enough.
☆—☆—☆—☆—☆
Wonder how long it’ll take them to get here. Maybe 45 minutes? She had been walking around looking for the park for 30 minutes. Y/n looked around to find a bench, massaging her back. I feel old. My hips hurt from that walking, but I can't massage them in public without looking weird.
“Looking for us?”
Y/n jumped comedically. She whirled around to see Romance stride up to her. “Wow, you scared me. How’d you get here so fast? Where’s Abby?”
“He’ll be here in a minute, he just wanted to grab something to eat. Are you okay?”
Romance gazed at her with a winsome smile, hair fluttering in the breeze, but the moment was quickly ruined when she saw Abby running up behind him. Y/n cracked a smile as Abby skid to a halt and put his arm over Romance’s shoulders, while Romance struggled to maintain his balance at the force.
“Let’s start again then, shall we? Part two?”
☆—☆—☆—☆—☆
The next morning, Romance had asked her to meet with the group again in their penthouse (not in a cafe, thank god), to discuss costumes and social media for the new song.
“Yeah, I was thinking we could do some teasers, too.”
“Sure, what are you thinking, Jinu?”
Jinu leaned back in his chair, one arm draped over Mystery’s shoulders. Abby was draped over Romance, a position he seemed to default to often.
Huh, Y/n tilted her head. It seems like they’re all pretty affectionate with each other. Mystery looks comfy with it. Wow, that’s so cute.
“Something quick, I think. Enough to get the fans' appetites whetted. The usual choice is around the bridge, leading into the first chorus.”
Y/n nodded slowly at his statement. Whetted? What an odd choice of words. “Sure. Do you have an artistic director? Can I meet with your producer?”
“Huh? We don’t have a producer,” Baby mumbled, snacking on Turtle Chips. Y/n was almost distracted by the way he seemed so elegant and cute at the same time while munching on snacks – hang on.
“You don’t have a producer?” Y/n squawked, voice cracking from the shrill misuse. She coughed hastily, putting a hand to her throat, eyes still wide and glancing around fervently to see if she should be embarrassed. She caught Abby's eye, and he turned his head sharply away from her. Hmph. At least he has the good grace not to smile this time.
“I mean, Jinu? He usually does it. Why?”
Y/n cast a wide-eyed look to Jinu, who grinned sheepishly. “Huh,” she settled back into her chair. I mean, I guess every k-pop group has their own way of doing things. I didn’t realize they could take out a producer though. That must be a lot of work for an idol. She narrowed her eyes. “Who’s been doing all the filming for your songs and social media so far?”
All of them pointed to Baby. He looked up and deflected lazily, “I used to have a vlog or two,” going back to munching as soon as he said it.
“Well damn. I’m impressed. Good work so far.” Baby nodded back slowly.
“Okay,” Y/n took a deep breath. Get it together. “What’s the vision?”
☆—☆—☆—☆—☆
Y/n leaned back in her desk chair, mentally sorting through the day’s events, as per usual. She had narrowed down with the group what theme they wanted for “Favor” (birthday party theme? Probably because of the term “party favors”), gotten access to the social media accounts belonging to the Saja Boys, and brainstormed a few ideas for costumes with them. Turned out, just as Baby had been filming and Jinu had been producing, so had Romance been designing costumes. Y/n snorted. Maybe Mystery was a stage manager and Abby was their fitness coach. She rolled her eyes, if that’s even a real job. However, she had to admit: zRomance knew his shit.
Apparently, Romance had “connections” (translation: a group of friends back home) who sewed and put together all the idol’s costumes once receiving designs from him. They were pretty good too, if past experiences were any tell. After all, the Saja Boys had already had some banger concerts and one or two MVs. Romance’s friends were professionals who produced high quality clothing, and his vision for Favor would undoubtedly be in capable hands.
So far in his sketches, the clothes looked like the same pink vibes from their variety show “Play Games With Us”. The boys were really sticking with this cutesy, family-friendly aesthetic. Mystery had drawn a few outfits, some casual and some streetwear. Scanning the choices, she noted her favorites. One outfit he had planned for Baby was a white long sleeve button up, with an off the shoulder light pink cardigan and light khaki pants. Abby would be sporting the loose cream sleeveless shirt, showing off his toned lats and just a peek of abs. Romance had white pants and shirt planned for himself, and a pink jacket with white lining and dark buttons. Overall, the selection looked fantastic, and Romance hadn’t even done the streetwear looks yet.
Y/n’s phone chirped, distracting her from browsing further. Setting aside her laptop, she swiped to check the notification. It was from Mystery.
🙏🫴 🍴 🔜?
What? Do I wanna get dinner soon? 🙂‍↕️ With who? And when?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dinner with everyone on Tuesday? 😊 Okay, I’ll meet you then at 5 pm?
🎉🎉🎉😄
Y/n kicked her feet, smiling. Mystery seems sweet. I wonder if he texts like this all the time though? Still, it will be nice to hang out with them after all the stuff Jinu has planned. Let’s see… Y/n counted on her fingers. Today's Monday, and he wants to have the first set of casual wear finished, the song filmed, the teaser filmed and edited and posted by next Monday night. Romance has had the song done, and sent in the clothes today… Damn. Her stomach sank. These guys are workaholics. And they need to film the choreography, if they’ve learned it. Not only that, Jinu has a variety show with The Game Caterers scheduled Friday, and he wants me to be there to get a sense of their image. Holy shit, when does it end?
Y/n let out an exhausted sigh and collapsed onto her bed, closing her eyes. Her phone chirped again, and she glanced at it. It seemed to be an email from Jinu. Turning onto her stomach, she grabbed a pillow and groaned into it wearily. The next week would be a long one.

Saja Summer Job! | Ch 1: Getting Settled
Saja Boys x Reader Genre: Mild romance, comedy, fluff Summary: Y/n’s boss has offered her a new assignment: to work as the Saja Boys' new content writer. At least she’s getting out of a work environment with toxic coworkers, not to mention the sweet, sweet cash. Sign her up! So, what does a content writer do? Warnings: cursing Prelude Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Home sweet home.
Y/n got out of the van. What greeted her was a lavish apartment building.
“As part of the team, you’ll be staying in an apartment a floor below us.” Jinu led her through the double glass doors, past a receptionist sitting at a prim white desk, and into the elevators.
“Wait, my stuff–”
“We’ll have it brought up to you. Here,” Jinu handed her a key and guided her out of the elevator and through a long, bright hallway. They stopped at a grey door with a painting of a pond next to it.
“Here’s your apartment. Come up to the penthouse to meet everyone when you’re ready.” Jinu flashed her a winsome smile and walked gaily away, hands in his pockets.
Man, his shoulders are broad.
Y/n breathed in and unlocked the door in front of her. Stepping through, she took her shoes off and placed them neatly in the massive closet to her right. A few feet further, to her right again, the hallway opened up into a living room and kitchen, with windows covering an entire wall. The kitchen had smooth steel grey cabinets and a white bar counter. Between the two rooms was a common bathroom. On the left side of the hallway were two bedrooms with a light, heavenly ambience. Study desk and display cabinets in both. A master bathroom with a beautiful vanity connected to the master bedroom.
Holy shit. Y/n stared in awe at the luxurious bed. It was an elegant light gold material, curved at the corners and along the headboard. She couldn’t resist its call, and threw herself onto the mattress.
“Ugggghhhhhhhh, fuuuuuuuck,” she moaned. So this was luxury. It felt like she was melting into the mattress. She rolled over onto her back and stared at the ceiling. It seemed to be a simple white color at first, with circular patterns carved into it, but the longer she gazed she realized that there were odd gold specks. Leaning on one elbow, she squinted at the shapes. Then it dawned on her. They were stars. And maybe orbit patterns?
Eh, who cares. Rich people stuff. As long as it looks pretty. She heard a knock from the front door, so she slid off the comfy mattress and started bringing in the luggage that had been set outside her door. Afterwards, she would freshen up for her meeting with the rest of the Saja Boys.
☆—☆—☆—☆—☆
Y/n stepped out of the elevator, to the penthouse floor. Clutching her briefcase in her hand, she raised a fist to knock. The door swung open, and there Jinu stood. “Welcome, Y/n,” he said easily. “I’m glad you could join us after such a long journey. Please, come in. I’d like you to meet everyone.” He beckoned her into the penthouse suite. Y/n tried to keep her astonishment hidden, but Jinu caught the slight widening of her eyes.
“I’m glad you like it,” he chuckled. The penthouse had beautiful wood floors and a glass chandelier, and she could see black marble countertops in the kitchen. Y/n turned her attention to the open living room, where the other Saja Boys sat in various stages of interest.
“You already know our names, but it wouldn’t hurt to have a formal introduction. I’m Jinu, leader of the Saja Boys idol group.”
“What’s up. I’m Abby, the man of your dreams.”
“Hello, darling. My name is Romance. This is Mystery. And that’s Baby. All at your service.” Romance gave a sly smile. Baby watched her lazily.
Y/n nodded at the group. “Hello. My name is Y/n. I’ve come to work with you at Mr. Hou’s suggestion. I believe you mentioned I’m writing your content. If I may ask, who was your previous content writer?”
“Don’t worry about them, sweet cheeks. Just look at all the content vibes we’ve been putting forth recently, and what the fans like, and you’re all set.”
“That won’t work, Abby,” Y/n adjusted her grip on her bag. “I need to speak with your previous content manager to understand their vision. This is a process. I can’t just go off of vibes, like you’re suggesting.”
Jinu gave an odd little laugh. “Please, Y/n, why don’t you sit down? I can take your bag?”
“No thank you, I’ll keep it,” Y/n moved to the sofa and sat down, losing her balance when she sank into the deep cushions. She quickly tried to adjust, although she still ended up sitting awkwardly trying to avoid getting swallowed by the couch. Abby was trying not to laugh, and she stared him down as she spoke again.
“Well?”
“Um, about that,” Jinu scratched the back of his neck and looked at the wall. “Our last content manager went on a cruise and hasn’t come back yet.”
“It was such a tragedy,” Abby sniffed.
“Well, I wouldn’t say it was a tragedy–”
“He died in a monsoon!” Abby wailed, clutching Mystery’s shoulder. His big shoulders were heaving from emotion.
“Oh my god. A monsoon? This early in the year?”
Romance sighed. “Yes, it was tragic. We are still grieving.”
“I– I am so, so sorry. How has your manager been taking this? I can only imagine how hard it’s been for you.”
Jinu started. “Well you see–”
“Our manager was on the same cruise ship!” Abby sobbed harder.
“What?!” Y/n spluttered in shock. That was truly heartbreaking. Two people they knew dying in the same event, how awful!
“It was a tragedy.” Romance held his hand over his heart and Mystery wiped a tear. Baby also had buried his head into a pillow.
“Oh my god,” Y/n paused. She hadn’t even known. And for good reason. “Why didn’t you publish anything about it? Let the fans know?”
Abby sniffed again. “It wasn’t–”
Jinu interrupted Abby quickly. “It wasn’t time for the fans to know yet! We wanted to allow ourselves time to grieve their deaths before releasing the knowledge to the public! And now we’re healed and ready to get back into things!”
Y/n furrowed her eyebrows. “You mean you already took time to grieve? Doesn’t this warrant a hiatus? Your manager and content writer died! You should take some time off!”
“It’s okay, Y/n,” Abby patted Mystery’s hand. “We’ll live. We know this is what they would’ve wanted.” Jinu nodded, and patted Abby’s shoulder.
“I misspoke just now, Y/n. We don’t want to release this to the public. It’ll make the fans distraught, and we don’t want to do anything to hurt the fans.”
“Don’t they have a right to know? They’re invested in you. If you don’t want to share because it’s too personal, I get it, but–”
“It is too personal,” Jinu stared her down, and Y/n could feel herself wilting under his stony expression. She smoothed her shirt, and gathered her strength.
“I understand. But are you sure you’re ready to continue? Do you need more time?”
“No.”
“Our fans need to be taken care of,” Romance spoke. “Their souls need to be taken care of. We can’t allow them to go to waste, can we?”
Y/n considered, and spoke hesitantly. “No… I suppose not.”
“Wonderful. Then let’s talk about expectations.”
☆—☆—☆—☆—☆
Y/n collapsed onto her bed. It had been an awkward meeting, ultimately. And uncomfortable. Some things just… didn't quite make sense. A monsoon? This early in the year? Abby’s “just look at the vibes”? Jinu saying it wasn’t time for the fans to know, then going back on it immediately? If he’d had time to grieve like hed said, he would've known how he wanted to approach that matter. Maybe he was just… confused? Even afterwards, when they’d gone over job expectations, it was odd. First of all, the idols themselves shouldn’t have been the ones having that talk with her. They shouldn’t have picked her up from the airport either. Even if they did have a good excuse, it was odd. Y/n could smell poor management from a mile away, and this was it. God, I fucking hate inefficient management. Piss off with that shit. She turned onto her other side, and tried to calm her breathing.
No use getting into that now. I can deal with this. After all, I’m not working with Haz and everyone else. This is… new people. A new place… chance… She drifted off to sleep.

Silly, Goofy Saja Boys
Saja Boys x reader Genre: Mild romance, fluff Summary: Abby and Y/n have been pranking each other for weeks. Most of them are good jokes, but some have been putting tension on the group. It's time to put a stop to it... well, one more prank couldn't hurt, right? Warnings: cursing
Tumblr media
“Nooo,” Abby was wailing at the loss of one of his favorite shirts. “I needed this for today! I was going to shoot that promo video!!”
“Just use another shirt.” Y/n’s voice came from the couch where she was scrolling through Instagram, unconcerned.
“No Y/n,” Abby wiped a tear from his eye. “This was the S tier shirt. The one that makes all my fans look at me more.”
“Your fans look at you anyway. Get a grip.”
“You don’t understand Y/n. This shirt was specifically designed for this promo. The choreography, combined with the lyrics, combined with my body is a delicate balance only achieved with this shirt. You’ve gotta help me! Please?”
Y/n looked up at the taller man. “Abs, you put orange juice in my coffee this morning. What makes you think I wanna help you?”
“Um… Because you love me?” Abs encased Y/n between his arms, flexing just a tad. His shoulders still had a workout pump, and he smelled like a new cologne. It made Y/n dizzy. She pushed him away.
“Fine. What’s the matter with it, you dumbass?”
“I spilled orange juice on it.”
Y/n groaned and kicked Abby with her foot.
---
Y/n had to agree, Abby did look good in that shirt. She gazed at the video on her phone, curled up on the couch. She looked at Baby, who was laying next to her.
“Baby, wanna help me prank Abs?”
Baby thought to himself, and lazily replied, “What are you thinking?”
“Not sure yet. I need to get him back for all the ones this week. Something that’ll take him a long time to fix, or just really inconvenient, but nothing harmful.”
“What about wrapping his stuff in gift wrap?”
“Uh, too Christmassy. Replacing his protein powder?”
“No, too boring. Wait, what about a fog machine?”
“Huh?”
“Put a fog machine in the common room and play a fire alarm noise while he’s sleeping.”
“Ooh, maybe. Or put beef bouillon cubes in his showerhead.”
“Ohh, that might be good. Wait, how many pranks do you have to get him back for?”
“Four, not counting the orange juice yesterday. I wanna do a few. Who else might have more ideas?”
Baby shrugged, and then added “Mystery.”
“Great, I’ll ask him.” Y/n hopped off the couch and went to gleefully tell Mystery her plans.
---
“Alright, that should be everything.” Y/n wiped her hands on her jeans and mumbled to herself. “Fog machine’s under the living room table, and beef bouillon in his upstairs shower head. And I’ll put the snappers Mystery gave me under his toilet seat tomorrow.” Y/n tilted her head. “Not sure why he had snappers in his room. Huh. Oh well,” Y/n shrugged and began taking out ingredients for dinner. Baby had requested chicken curry, and who was she to deny her nonchalant partner in crime? Besides, curry sounded pretty good.
Y/n was a bundle of nerves during dinner, so much so that Jinu asked her if she was okay.
“Yeah, I’m fine! Just uh– had too much sugar earlier?”
“Oh? What’d you have?”
“Uh, Baby brought back ice cream. But we ate it all.”
“Aw, damn it Y/n. You know how much I love ice cream.” Abby pouted at you from across the table.
“Yeah well. Tough shit Abby.”
Jinu raised an eyebrow at your tone. “What did he do?”
“Put fucking orange juice in my coffee like a little kid.”
Jinu laughed easily. “You can’t hold it against him, Y/n. It’ll only lead to more pranks in the future.”
“I can and I will,” Y/n grumbled under her breath. She perked up when Abby finally scooted his chair back.
“As much fun as this dinner has been– which, thank you, Y/n– I’m gonna shower now. Don’t miss me too much,” he winked at Y/n who glowered back, and sauntered upstairs.
“Don’t peek!”
Y/n waited for what felt like hours. The rest of the boys finished up their dinner and sat chatting at the table, but she couldn’t get her mind in the conversation. If only Abby would hurry up and get in the shower. Y/n stared at the clock mounted on the wall, and watched as the minute hand slowly moved until it was pointing the opposite direction.
“Y/NN!!!”
Y/n jolted, and grinned. Everyone turned their head to the top of the staircase, where Abby came lumbering down in a stained towel.
“Y/n! What the hell did you do to my shower?”
Y/n put on her best innocent face. “What do you mean, Abby? I haven’t done anything.” That you didn’t deserve, she added mentally.
“No, no, no, I know it was you,” he pointed an accusatory finger in her face. Y/n struggled to keep her face straight. “I smell savory!”
Jinu leaned his head forward for a sniff, but Romance, who was right next to Abby, commented, “I know, we can smell it. What did you do, bathe in beef stew?”
Abby’s brow twitched and he whirled back to Y/n. “Y/n, I know it was you. What did you do?”
“Like I said, Abs. Nothing,” and Y/n leaned back in her chair. Wow, that smell is overpowering.
Abby groaned and stomped upstairs, whisking his beef bouillon stained bath towel behind him. Romance and Jinu were howling at his plight. Upstairs, they could hear Abby shouting and clanking around, turning the faucet on and off repeatedly. Each sound they heard brought a new wave of laughter until Jinu and Romance were holding their sides and sliding off their chairs from the excitement. Y/n buried her head in her arms and shook in hysterics.
---
That night, Y/n shot a text to everyone except Abby to let them know the plan. At exactly midnight, she tiptoed outside Abby’s room and placed the speaker, and then made her way to the living room to wait behind the sofa with Romance, who would be recording. Baby, Jinu, and Mystery would be watching from the upstairs hall. Romance started the fog machine. After a few minutes, Y/n set the speaker to full volume, and played the fire alarm. She immediately threw her hands to her ears. Even muffled, the sound hurt her head. Abby must have had a heart attack.
Right on cue, she heard the sound of a door slamming open, and Abby’s yelling.
“HOLY SHIT!!!” A spew of curses and yells could be heard over the alarm, and shortly after Abby appeared at the top of the stairs in nothing but some very short shorts and socks. Y/n rolled her eyes at his apparel, but quickly found more to judge as Abby scrambled down the stairs and landed on his ass, not even taking the time to get back up. Instead, he scrambled to the kitchen sink and yanked a large 5 gallon bucket out, trying to fill it in the sink. When he couldn’t fit it, he raced back upstairs. Minutes later, he emerged again and threw the 5 gallons of beef bouillon scented water onto the sofa, where the smoke was thickest. Y/n and Romance screamed.
“Abby!!” Romance sputtered. Abby held up the empty bucket in confusion as Y/n paused the siren. Abby looked around at the sudden empty noise. “Huh, I guess it turned off.”
“I turned it off,” Y/n spat, trying to clear the water from her mouth. “I had it playing on a speaker.”
“What?” Abby looked around, seeing the fog machine slowly churning less and less fog. “Hey,” he started angrily, “What makes you think you can wake a person up like this? I thought we were in serious danger!”
Y/n scoffed. “Oh so it’s only a problem when I do it? How about when you pretended you were gonna suck my soul out last Thursday? I thought I was gonna die!”
“God, Y/n, I would never suck your soul. How fucking morbid is that? It was an act!”
“Well it was pretty damn convincing! You can’t rag on me for a scary prank when you’re just as bad!”
“That’s rich! How about when you threw food at me during a promo? That could’ve cost us our reputation!”
“But it didn’t, and now your fans like you more than ever because you stripped after getting only a little bit of food on your shirt. If we’re talking business, then how about when you put all my content notes in jello? That was weeks of ideas and memos I couldn’t recover!”
Jinu made his way between them just in time. Placing his hands out between the two of them, he tried to tone down the situation. “No, enough. Both of you have been at this for weeks, and frankly, it’s getting exhausting.”
“But he’s been–!”
“No, she’s being–!”
“Stop!” Jinu raised his voice and the two quieted quickly. “The two of you need to chill out. Seriously, you’ve been escalating these pranks for a bit. No longer. We can’t afford a prank bigger than this one. Apologize.”
“Huh?!” The two pranksters yelled in unison.
“And clean up the mess.”
“But it wasn’t my prank–!”
“Think of it as forced bonding time. And you’ve done messier things, Abby. This is also payback for me having to clean those up.”
Abby visibly wilted. Taking the empty bucket, he scowled at Y/n. “Help me with the shower first.”
Y/n rolled her eyes. “Fine.”
---
“I really hated when you ruined all my clothes. That’s a lot of my money that you wasted.” Y/n grumbled while towelling down the couch. She sighed. The fabric might be ruined by the water.
“You wasted a lot of money anyway, paying for stuff like a fog machine. Besides, you embarrassed me in front of my fans, like, several times. That was pretty shitty, Y/n.”
“I didn’t mean to actually embarrass you or mess up your promos. Well, I did, but–”
“Dude! This is my career you’re fucking with! That’s not cool!”
Y/n flung a hand out in consternation. “How are you blaming me when you’re the one that fucked with my work first? You deleted my notes, fucked with my memos, oh and lets not forget how you kept cracking weird jokes to that soda brand rep. They were so inappropriate, and he thought that I was a whore!!”
“What?” Abby swiveled his head around.
“Yeah, Abby, those stupid jokes you made in that meeting were super fucked. I was getting weird looks the entire time, AND it singlehandedly ruined our chances to be sponsored by them. How the fuck did you not notice? Were you too busy trying to make me look bad? You definitely succeeded–”
“I wasn’t trying to make you look bad, just messing around!”
“You messed too far!”
“So did you! Multiple of our promos were messed up–”
“Oh please, name one.”
“ – and you keep saying the fans love it anyway–”
“They love you more, dammit!”
“No they don’t! Or– fuck, sure, yeah the fans do, but reps don’t! Haven’t you noticed the companies that have been pulling sponsorships because of our image right now?”
Y/n paused. Shit, Abby was right. She’d only noticed the new, sketchier, edgier companies aligning themselves online with the Saja Boys, and thought nothing of the companies who were silently pulling away.
“Fuck,” she sunk down onto the couch, grimacing at the still-wet feel. Abby ran his hand through his hair.
“How do we fix it?” She glanced at Abby. He sat down beside her.
“Truce?”
“We both did fucked-up shit.”
“I know.”
“I’m sorry.”
“I’m sorry too. I shouldn’t have ruined your clothes. Or made those comments at the meeting. I didn’t mean for them to come across that way.”
“I’m sorry I messed up your promos. That was shitty of me.”
“Yeah, it was.” Abby got up, and looked at the couch. “How do we fix it?”
“I guess we try to fix our online image, maybe release some wholesome content, set up another sponsorship meeting…”
“You’re right, but I meant the couch.”
Y/n looked at Abby and burst out laughing. “Abs, your ass is wet. Did you piss yourself?”
Abby glared. “How. Do. We. Fix it.”
“The couch or your pants?”
Abby grabbed a wet pillow and hurled it onto Y/n’s laughing face. As it slid slowly to her lap, he could see her expression had changed. She was grinning still, but her eyes had a murderous gleam.
“Oh, man, fuck you.”
---
The morning after, the sun beamed brighter through the windows of the Saja Boys’ penthouse. It kissed the fingertips of two sleepy adults, one demon and one human, snuggled together on a damp couch, ruined with water stains. The sun wended its way along the sky, enveloping the pair in a full embrace, and slowly drying their unusual choice of bed. There were no other remains from the war that had been going on.
Blinking the sleep from his eyes, Jinu halted at the sight that greeted him, and smiled softly.
I guess it worked.

Saja Summer Job! | Prelude
Saja Boys x Reader Genre: Mild romance, comedy, fluff Summary: Y/n’s boss has offered her a new assignment: to work with the Saja Boys, her idols! And she’s getting out of a work environment with toxic coworkers. Not to mention the sweet, sweet cash. Sign her up! So, what is she doing? Warnings: cursing Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Y/n walked into the cool office building. Her lunch break had been rushed, but with the rising temperatures of spring she was glad to get back into the AC of her workplace. She stepped into the elevator, picking at her nails as she rose levels. One, two, three. Stepping out to her manager’s office, she quickly adjusted her shirt and smoothed her pants. As inept as her workplace could be, she still liked to look proper. Mr. Hou greeted her as she came in. “Hi Y/n! Are you ready to begin?” “Yep!” Y/n smiled primly back. As she did, her coworker, Haz, opened the door and sat away from her. Y/n dug her nails into her fists under the table. Haz made her nervous. “As the both of you know, this is just a check in to get things smoothed out before you leave in May. I trust you two got the email?” Y/n nodded vaguely. That email had given her little information. “What exactly is the job, besides working with the Saja Boys?” Haz huffed. “Yeah, and, like, where are we staying?” “Is there an HR or manager we can contact to get more details?” Mr. Hou put up a hand. “They’ll send an email with those things a week or two before you fly out. They haven’t given us that information either. In the meantime, when would the two of you prefer to fly out? The official start date is the 30th of May, but I’d advise getting there a day or two earlier so you can have more time to rest before you start.” Haz shifted in his seat. “Yeah,” he began, “I don’t really wanna get there too late you know. I have to check and see when I’m available.” Y/n checked her planner. “I think I’ll be available on the 26th or 27th. Will that work?” “Sure Y/n. And Haz, just shoot me an email when you get it figured out. Besides that, do you have any other questions for me?” “Can I get that contact? I’d like to speak to one of their representatives to get more info,” Y/n reminded him. “Of course, I’ll check with them and get that to you ASAP. Anything else?” Y/n and Haz looked at each other. Haz spoke up for them. “No, I think that’s it.” He got out of his seat and made to the door. Y/n gathered her things, making a light fist at Haz’s usual curt behavior. “Alright then. Good luck to you both! Let me know if you need anything.”
Even though she was working with Haz, Y/n was excited for the summer. Her job had assigned her to work with the Saja Boys, a new kpop band that had risen quite unexpectedly. She wasn’t quite sure what the living situation was though. When she had asked, her manager had smiled at her. “Room and board covered! We’ll give you a stipend to pay for your lunches, but dinner and breakfast will be provided.” “Oh, alright! Where will I be staying?” “We’re still waiting to hear back about that. These things take a minute to organize, but like I said, that should be covered in the email you’ll receive from their team.” Y/n sighed, and looked at the laundry she was folding. It was a dream come true to work with an idol group, and her family would be proud of her for taking such an opportunity. Sure, she didn’t know exactly what she would be doing, where she would be staying, where she would be working… But she was getting paid a lot. And living expenses were covered! And breakfast and dinner! And she got a stipend for lunches! And there were cute boys. That’s not important right now, though. Truth be told, Y/n had been feeling like she wasn’t quite fitting in her current assignment. This was a chance to start over, get some confidence back in some new scenery. She trusted Mr. Hou; he wouldn’t put her in an assignment he didn’t think she wasn’t prepared for. Haz too. Although he made her feel out of place, he was capable. But before all else, Y/n had to prepare. The trip was long after all. Y/n’s closet hadn’t been added to in a while. The opportunity was perfect. Nonetheless, Y/n spent the next month trying not to go overboard with her shopping.
☆—☆—☆—☆—☆ That was in April. Now, it was May 24th. She was supposed to fly to Korea on the 27th. The email that had been promised had not come. Y/n was stressing out.
Good morning, Mr. Hou! When was that email supposed to be sent? I’m flying out in a week and I’m still not sure of any details. Hello, Mr. Hou. I’m flying out in 3 days and I still haven’t gotten the email. Do they have my contact information? Hi, Mr. Hou. Who is the email supposed to be from? I may have deleted it yesterday if it was marked as spam, would it be possible to have it forwarded to me again?
Y/n backspaced, started typing, and backspaced again. She tossed her phone on the pillow and faceplanted into her bed, groaning loudly. Her only solace was looking at edits of the Saja Boys. Hey, she had to get information somewhere, right? After all, Mr. Hou hadn’t been able to find a contact, somehow. Y/n had had to find all her information online, and had come up short. The only reliable information was social media, namely, what was posted by the Saja Boys. A notification appeared on her phone, and she swiped up. It was not the email. Then another notification, which she also swiped away. Then another one. Then another– whoops, she clicked it accidentally. “Dammit– huh?” It was a video posted by the Saja Boys marketing team. “Hey everyone, we’re so excited to bring you in on this update from our team,” Abby began. “You all have been waiting anxiously to hear about our new content writer, and we are happy to finally give you the news you have been waiting for,” Romance added. Jinu spoke next, to Y/n’s satisfaction. God, their voices are so hot. “That’s right everybody. She’s coming down in a few days to start working. We’re so excited for this opportunity to be working together! We’ll keep her name private for now– Y/n swiped to the comments. It was kind of boring if the idols wouldn’t reveal anything. What were fans saying?
SajaSexy6969: Why can’t we know who it is??? We’re your fans!!!!
bunnies&turtles4l1f3: omggggg mystery looks so qttttttttttttt TT TT
Greenballman: bro im so ready for this writwer more content woooooooooooooooooooo
pseudopsychobaby: why do we hav to wait for their name? Thats the stupidest thing iv ever heard
emryyyy: Saja Boys Fans, assemble!!
burneridol: Jinu’s smile is so contagious, I look so stupid smiling at my phone screen like this
Siafunsun: 0:10 Baby Saja is glowing. Drop the skincare routine!!!
DJpopchild: the hell is wrong with giving us her name? Shes part of the team now
coolestbeanest: god, idols get no privacy. Y’all idiots need to respect them at least trying to preserve the privacy of their team.
At that, Y/n stopped looking at the comments Y/n agreed with pseudopsychobaby and bunnies&turtles4l1f3. Mystery was very cute and Y/n didn’t want to wait for information about who was on the team. This was one more mystery she didn’t need. She scrolled through more comments, liking the ones thirsting after– okay she had liked too many. Y/n switched to another video. Oh, it was edits from the Saja Boys’ new song. She found herself nodding along to the beat. Damn, she really needed to stop watching these. They were addictive.
☆—☆—☆—☆—☆ After 2 hours of a bus ride, a 1 hour train ride, and a 2 hour bus ride again, and then waiting in the airport, and then flying, Y/n was finally in Korea. She had still not received the promised email about where she was working and where she was living and if she would be picked up from the airport. Pissed, she called Hou. “Hi, Y/n. Everything okay?” “Hi, Mr. Hou! I’m just calling for more details, since that email never came. Do you know where I’m heading to?” “Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry about that. They said that the idols would pick you up personally some time after your flight, at the main entrance.” “What?” “Yeah. Listen, I’m sorry about that email. I’ll let their manager know it never went through, hopefully we can get this resolved better in the future. Anything else?” She stared at the street in front of her, when a white van pulled up. Its driver wore a hoodie and sunglasses. Oh my gosh, someone’s gonna get kidnapped. “Oh, uh, no that’s it. Thank you so much.” “Anytime! Call me whenever you need.” *Click.*
Y/n looked around wildly for the police, but was distracted by a tall man beside her. He wore sunglasses and a ballcap. Y/n backed away. “What are you doing? We’re here to pick you up.” “I’m sorry, I think you have the wrong person,” Y/n could not hide the distaste on her face and turned around quickly. This guy looked like bad news. Where were the police? “You’re the content writer Mr. Hou sent, right?” Y/n froze mid-step and creaked her head to look at the guy. She had to crane her head to make eye contact. “I’m sorry, who are you?” Damn, I can’t stare him down when I’m looking up at him. I’ll take a step back for optimal stare-down effect. “I’m Jinu. Pleasure to make your acquaintance.” Jinu tilted his sunglasses away from his face briefly so she could see. Wow. Jinu’s hair parted perfectly over his face. His eyes were just as dreamy– no, dreamier, than in the photos. His skin looked so smooth, and his eyes, just wow. That hoodie couldn’t cover up such perfection. Y/n was mildly self-conscious at meeting a kpop idol like this. She hadn’t brushed her hair or reapplied deodorant. Oh, and her breath probably stank. She hadn’t drunk a lot of water on the plane. Y/n directed her words to the air beside Jinu, instead of at his nose. It was the best she could do given the circumstances. Let’s just hope Jinu can’t tell, I guess. “Mr. Hou did send me, but I’m not the content writer. What’s the name of the person you’re looking for? I might have their contact.” “Oh uh,” Jinu rustled in his pocket and pulled out a wrinkled piece of paper. “Y/n L/n.” He mispronounced my name. Y/n felt Jinu’s likeability decreasing. Well, no one can be truly perfect. Wait a second. “I’m the content writer?!” Jinu jolted and put his hands up in alarm, but quickly regained his composure. “Well yes, if you’re Y/n L/n. Did Mr. Hou not tell you?” “He said I was supposed to get an email from your team about details regarding this job. I never got one.” Y/n quirked a brow at such inefficiency, mentally taunting Jinu for his team’s horrendous lack of business-ship. Jinu winced. “Ah yeah. Sorry about that, we’ll get that to you today. Uh, if you still want it. But if you’re ready, we can drive you there now.” JInu said, doing his best to placate the mildly annoyed office worker in front of him. Y/n huffed. Might as well. She allowed Jinu to help her with her stuff (what a gentleman!), and got in the suspicious van from earlier. Sitting by the window, she prayed silently for more efficiency and less stress at this new job. To her surprise, the van stopped a few minutes later. “Home sweet home!” Y/n peered out of the window at where she would stay for the next few months. Oh man. I’m gonna need so much coffee to get through this.

Saja Boys Headcannons: When they realized they loved you
Abby realized he was falling in love when Romance pointed out that his clothes were messy after a date with you. No, he hadn’t been doing iNaPpRoPrIaTe tHiNgS, he had answered in a huff, annoyed by Romance’s sly comments. Romance then switched tactics after seeing Abby’s eyes look in the direction you had left, and soften.
“Ohhhh. You’re in love, huh, Abs?” Romance had smiled smugly.
Ah, shit. Yeah, he was. After that, Abby noticed more and more how obvious it was (only to him, really) that he was in love. He flexed in front of you like there was no tomorrow. He was always directing your attention to his (very sexy) muscles. Most of all, he stopped caring about always looking perfect. Well, he still looked amazing, but he felt comfortable looking disheveled around you. Living in the moment with you, his perfectly clean clothes be damned. Once you had pointed, giggling, at the sweat that had gathered around the front of his shirt (mostly under his amazing pecs), and he froze. He looked down and sure enough, his shirt was stained dark from sweat not only around his chest, but also his underarms. But you were giggling in front of him, hair messy, and sweating as much as him. Honestly, it was a little gross, but the two of you had been walking around under the hot summer sun for hours. Abby started grinning. You two must have looked awful. Slowly, the grin started into a chuckle, and then a full laugh. You and he had finished your date arm in arm with sore cheeks from laughing. Abby woke the next day with a bright red sunburn on his nose, and found that he didn’t mind how it looked. Well, besides the pain and the jokes from his friends.
Baby loves that he doesn’t have to keep an image around you. He loves leaning into the baby/youngest act, and loves when you spoil him, but the fact that he can tell you about whatever interests him makes him psycho. He still needs an outlet for his emotions, and the fact that you’re there when he needs to let something out means a lot to him.
Baby wasn’t ever certain when he fell for you. Your relationship had been a steady incline of time spent together + casual cuddling. Your time together had morphed into actual dates, and the cuddling was… definitely not PG. You had never really had The Talk, though. About what your relationship was, and if you were officially a couple. Baby didn’t mind. Your relationship was your relationship, and a label didn’t matter to him. Had hardly even crossed his mind! –and then you brought it up.
“What are we?”
And Baby had blinked, and answered, “Huh?”
You had asked him if the two of you were… dating. Together. Romantically.
And this man, this amazing, capable, sweet man, had said: “Oh. Do you want to?”
And of course you said yes. Afterwards, Baby put his arm around you and looked self-satisfied for the rest of the night.
How did Mystery realize he loved you? Answer: you can’t actually tell if he loves you that way. He is as aloof as a cat. He nuzzles into your side and flops down even when you’re just friends, but it seems different than how he interacts with the other idols. Sure, he drapes himself over them too, but with you it’s like… he cuddles into you. You’re overthinking it a lot, trying to figure out how he feels. He doesn’t force his feelings on you, if he has them, but… Does he have them? Maybe he seeks you out so often because you’re calmer than the other Saja Boys, or because if you’re energetic, your presence is still relaxing (somehow). One time you had been screaming obscenities at Romance during a card game and Mystery was still crouched against your side, observing the match. Or sleeping, you couldn’t see his eyes.
One time, you tried graphing the amount of time he spent cuddling with you verses the other Saja Boys. The results were as follows:
Over the course of one week, Mystery spent __% of the total cuddling time with the following people: Jinu: 5% Baby: 15% Abby: 15% Romance: 20% You: 20% His Saja Boys Lion Plushie: 25%
Okay, that didn’t quite work. But you are top 3, and Mystery had properly cuddled with you and his plushie, but only draped himself over everyone else. In the end, the results were:
INCONCLUSIVE
…Yikes. Maybe you should just ask him.
Romance was a difficult case. If you fell for him in the beginning stages of getting to know each other, he would have dropped you like that. If you’re friends with the other Saja Boys, they definitely guilted him for hurting you like that. Romance would have struggled with his guilt for weeks, apologized to you with a very heartfelt apology (the Saja Boys were peeking around a corner to make sure he apologized right), and then he would have wanted to try to start over, and treat you properly.
However, if it took you more than a couple months to fall, and you had a good friendship going, he quickly stopped texting you to lead you on. Instead, his 3 am texts became a genuine desire for your presence, and he was more mindful of your feelings if you didn’t want to hang out. He knows, in the beginning, he jerked you around everywhere trying to get you to fall for him. He will try to ignore the fact that he did that awful stuff to you, but he still feels guilty about it when he sees you smiling so happily at him now. Eventually, he will bring it up on a late night call, and he will ask you if you noticed, and how you felt. He will apologize. Give you time away from him, if you need. But after you take time, if you want to hang out, even after the shitty stuff he did, and you still enjoy being around him– Romance just might think about how lucky he is to have you. The thought will flit through his head quickly, but he’ll still blush. You’ll notice, of course you notice, and you ask what’s wrong. Romance will hesitate, and you’ll realize something. Something that he doesn’t dare say out loud yet, for the risk of losing you. You’ll give him your answer anyway.
Jinu falls easily. It takes a certain type of person though, one who’s kind, who’s real. Even if you're only begrudgingly kind, he just… doesn’t want someone who’s mean, or cruel. He’s had enough of that. Hell, he is that. All demons are. He knows that anyone else who’s met him would say otherwise, but he doesn’t feel the same. Because of this, Jinu wants someone who is real, and can be honest about their fears and insecurities too. No acting, no faking, just… real.
When Jinu falls, he doesn’t act aloof with you. It’s obvious that he flirts with you and seeks out your company a little more. But on the inside, he’s fighting battles.
Do I really love- no, like them? It can’t be love, it’s only been a month! So, do I like them? Am I SURE about them? I don’t want to catch feelings only to have a hard breakup later. But it might be worth it, for… BUT if there’s no breakup, there’s– oh dear. MARRIAGE. No. I’m too young for that! Wait, no I’m not. I’m still young in human years? Or is it demon years? Or am I old? It might be time to settle down. AM I TOO OLD FOR THEM??!! Oh no. Am I a creep? A pervert!—
Aaaand so on and so forth. Like I said, Jinu falls easy and hard. Give him some time to sort himself out.

Saja Boys Headcannons: Getting to know them
Abby loves to pout when he doesn’t get his way. He looks at you with the cutest, most adorable puppy dog eyes when you tell him no, and it’s just so hard not to give in when he looks at you like that. If only he were always this sweet. Instead, he ragebaits you. All. The. Time. Poking at your cheek when you try to focus, swiping bites of your food, stealing your stuff… The list goes on. If he notices a subject or slang word you find annoying, he’ll go out of his way to bring it up. Multiple times in a conversation. He likes getting overly close to you while you talk, to see if you’ll blush and push him away, flustered. The man loves pushing boundaries, but if you get mad when he goes too far, he resorts to the puppy dog eyes as his get-out-of-jail-free card. And then goes right back to annoying you.
Baby is the most adventurous in the group. It’s easy to see him as just the cute idol of the group, but he’s so much more. He leans into the image of maknae, being cute and playful, but only because he thinks it's fun. While he loves being babied, he appreciates when people realize he’s more than that. He enjoys rapping his heart out, and a lot of the time, it’s only through creative mediums like singing that he can express how he feels. He likes using arts and crafts as an outlet when he feels upset– making rap lyrics is his go to, but he’s tried painting, drums, knitting– okay, drums isn’t arts and crafts, but it counts. It might not be yarn and a needle, but he’s making stuff isn’t he?
Baby only became an idol because he thought that would be fun too. Without something fun in his life, he becomes severely depressed. That’s why he started singing. It became something he could rely on, express himself through. It lifted the monotony of daily demon life. He was glad when Jinu asked him to be an idol.
Mystery can be an antsy ball of energy. Most of the time, he’s a relaxed, easy going fellow, just like some of the other idols. We know he acts more reserved when you first meet him. However, once he loosens up around you, he acts more clingy. He starts seeking out snuggles. This grown ass man will be all over you after a few weeks of getting to know you. He’s definitely not reserved with physical intimacy: draping himself over your shoulder, slouching against your side while you’re sitting together, curled up against you snoring– yeah, he’s as bad about it as Baby, if you haven’t noticed.
When Mystery gets bored, he gets antsy. Drumming his fingers against the table, jogging his knee so violently it hits the table, and when he gets really, REALLY bored, trying to sit upside down on his chair. Not that he ever sits right anyway, he’s always slouched or sitting criss-cross on a normal chair. But picture it: Mystery’s sitting on the couch while the Saja Boys plan their takedown of Huntr/x, but it’s just so, so, boring. He flips over with his back on the cushion, head hanging down towards the floor, and feet propped up where his head is supposed to be. Either that, or he curls up like a cat around a throw pillow and takes a small snooze. Homeboy canNOT sit right.
Romance loves clothes shopping. Fit checks with you, your go to guy for an outfit. He just has a sense for these things. He’s a total diva though. It’s not obvious at first, but the more you get to know him, the more dramatic he is. However, Romance is a little bit more cruel than the other Saja Boys. He likes the thrill of “talking to someone”, and going on first dates. He likes the thrill of leading someone on. If someone gets too attached, he’ll drop them immediately. The King of ghosting. Waits hours before replying back, leaves you on read if he doesn’t care about what you texted. When he does text, it’s in the middle of the night, and it’s like he’s encouraging you to wait up for him to text back later and later.
If he’s really into someone, it will take a while for him to realize. Effortless flirting, the same with everyone. He’ll stare at you, and smirk when you catch him. Casual touches on your hand, and back. He won’t text you back a lot in the beginning, and you’re the one to text first for every conversation. But you’ll notice something weird about Romance. You’ll be out with the Saja Boys and realize Romance is at your side, or you’ll be at home and find him at your front door with no warning. He’ll look for any excuse to be close with you, start more conversations, and you’ll slowly start to realize that he’s fallen.
Jinu revels in power. He feels guilty about it, and still wants to become human again, but a part of him craves the demon power. Even when he was human, he relished in the power that came from having a station in court. At least until he gets therapy, or resolves it through some other means, he will always struggle with guilt and temptation. After all, is power so bad? With it comes all the luxuries of life. Jinu hated the struggle he had to face when he was homeless, and finds himself hard-pressed to give it up.
Because Jinu was poor, and often went without food, he stockpiles all sorts of food at home. Most of it is cheap food that reminds him of what he had with his family. Oftentimes, leftovers go bad because he can’t eat them all in time, but he will NEVER have an empty fridge. The stress from his human years of never having enough to eat guarantees this habit of overstocking now. His pantry is filled with cans of soup, instant ramen, and all the chips he can get his hands on. He prioritizes carbs over meat and vegetables, and while you might think it’s because of the intense choreography he has to do, it’s mostly because he couldn’t afford them as a human, and because carbs were easier to come by.

Saja Boys Headcannons: Dates
Jinu likes classic dates. Going to the movie theater, picnics, dinner dates. Ever the gentleman, he opens the door for you, gets your chair for you, and NEVER lets you pay. It’s a playful competition, if you try to pay instead, but he’s slick. He distracts you with complements or jabs (whatever works) and while you stew in your embarrassment, he pays. One day, it won’t work, and he knows he has to plan for that day too. Maybe he’ll have his tiger help. In the meantime, prepare to be treated like royalty.
Abby likes dates where he can show off. He’ll take you to the mall, dressed in his best like he knows he's going to catch some stares. He’ll take any chance he can get to show off his muscles. A date by the lake? He’s renting a rowboat and rolling up his sleeves so you can see his muscles as he rows. He’s particular about his appearance though. Hiking is a maybe, if he can show off his physique, but he is NOT getting himself dirty by going off path. He wants to look stunning 24/7. If he likes you a lot though, he miiiight allow himself to be dragged off the path. Even if it means he’ll come out with his clothes a little dirty.
Baby likes cute or adventurous dates. He likes trying new things. Sure, he likes dressing up with you in matching floral outfits, but if you suggest going to do something like go karting? Skiing? Viral food challenges? He’s so down. However, if you take him to do karaoke, it seems like he becomes a different person. He’s in his own world while he sings, and he does it with an upbeat energy you seldom see from him. The entire walk home he will be buzzing from the high he got while singing, but once you get home… he’s out. Snuggle time.
Mystery loves chill dates the most. He goes with the flow, but if it’s not a cute date like shopping for stickers and keychain charms, he’ll be a bit low energy. He enjoys cuddling, and will take advantage of the money that comes with being an idol to order food to home. Mostly boba, and snacks. His favorite dates are: 1) ordering boba to his house and watching a movie, 2) shopping at cute stores for stationary, plushies, and snacks, and 3) snuggling.
Romance will text you at ungodly hours of the night to flirt with you. He doesn’t ask you on dates, he just shows up, and whisks you on a date to wherever you happened to be talking about the night before. Oh, you’re tired after staying up late talking? It’s okay, you can lean on his arm. He’ll put his arm around your shoulder to lead you through the streets, even if you’re dead on your feet. He thinks of you whenever he sees certain clothing, and buys it for you for whenever he pops by your house next.
