Public service advertising are written in brief that describes a program, event or a cause the public may have an interest in having a knowledge about it. These are submitted to television stations or newspapers and community calendars, here they are printed or posted online.

Raising awareness:

Public service advertisements are used to spread awareness of a issue or a cause. These advertisements are not similar to paid advertising, which allow a company to advertise particular feature of its products or services (McQuerrey, 2017).

 celebrity advertising:

 celebrity advertising means advertising which uses celebrities to advertise and sell their products and services. Celebrities mainly advertise beauty products by showing that their beauty is because they ae using these products, but in actual they may or may not  be using the products. Basically the celebrities those are likely to use that products or services is used for the products.

 There are many merits and demerits of celebrity advertising:

Merits:

They attract the attention of consumers towards a particular product.

They create awareness among consumers about the recent launched products.

Demerits:

There is wastage of efforts, time and money in making advertisement.

Sometime the brand mam turn irrelevant that is celebrities overshadow the brands.

These advertising are only effective when people see these advertising. These advertising should be created in such a manner that they can attract the attention of the customers.

Broadcasting advertising is a advertising that tells the customers about the benefits of products. it is considered as a very efficient medium of advertising. The commercial aired on radio and television are an essential part of broadcasting advertising.

There are three modes of broadcasting advertising:

1.     Radio ads

3.     Internet or online advertising

Radio ads:

These ads are express several times before they actually sinks in the minds of the consumers. The type of target audience and frequency of the ads is very important. To ad successfully one must research that which type of  audience  listen to which type of channel.

In this type of broadcasting advertising ads are given on search engine result pages, rich media ads, banner ads, social network advertising, email marketing and so on. Advertising ethics are very important to be successful in this kind of advertising.

COVERT ADVERTISING

Covert advertising is a term used to describe marketing programs where advertisers fail to publicly declare or acknowledge their investment at the point of presentation. it is also known as “Guerilla Advertising” it simply means that advertising is hidden in other media. It helps to increase the sale volume as well as profits of the company. It also create awareness among the people about different products and brands through entertaining Medias like movies, games, TV serials, shows, music videos and much more. Covert advertising is used widely as it is both cost-efficient as well as time-efficient. It is a vital key to promote and communicate the products by putting a long lasting impact on the minds of people.

Surrogate advertising

Surrogate advertising is a form advertising which is used to advertise the products that are banned, like cigarettes and alcohol, in the disguise of other products. The banned products are not directly advertised in the market but rather they are marked under another products under the same brand name. some instances of surrogate advertising are:

Bagpiper soda, cassettes and CDS, Royal Challengers golf associations and mineral water, imperial blue cigarettes and CDs (marketing, 2017).

Hello everyone I am back once again, as I have discussed about meaning of advertisements, its merits and demerits and types of advertisements strategies I my last post. I hope that this information must have given you some idea about advertising. Now I am going to discuss about types advertisement strategies for business in more detail.

OUTDOOR ADVERTISEMENT  

Meaning: 

Any advertising done outdoors that publicize your business’s product and services. Out door advertisements work well for promoting the product in specific geographic areas.

There are different types of outdoor advertising:

1.     Billboards

2.     Bus benches

3.     Interiors and Exteriors of buses

4.     Signage posted on the walls

    Now, I will describe these types in more detail so that it become easy for you to understand.

Billboards

Billboards advertisements are designed to catch a person’s attention and create a memorable impression very quickly. It leaves the reader thinking about the advertisement after they have driven past it. Billboards have to be readable in a very short time because they are usually read while being passed at high speeds. There should be only few words, in large print and  attracting in a brilliant color. They are placed in a high traffic areas.

BUS BENCHES:

Bus Benches advertisements means using benches of the bus stops for advertising the products or services. This method is used to attract the attention of every person who will sit on it or the persons passing by.

INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR OF BUSES

Buses and their related infrastructure is a medium commonly used for advertising. It is a form of promoting commercial brands and also used for public campaign messages.

Advertising on buses can be done in two ways:

Interior of the buses

Exterior of the buses

INTERIOR of the buses :

Interior of the buses is commonly used for advertising. Advertises are attached to the corners between the walls and the ceilings overhead so, that it catches the eyes of the passengers. inside the buses for advertisements long words can be used as passengers get time to read it while sitting in the bus.

Exterior of the bus:

Exterior of the buses are also commonly used for advertising. In this the whole outside surface of the is covered with advertisement.

Signage posted on the walls:

Signage is the design or use of sign and symbols to communicate a message to a specific group, usually for the purpose of marketing. They are a kind of visual graphics created to display information to a particular audience.

Meeting competition:   Today a number of products are available in the market with different brands. So, through advertisements a company a attract the customers to towards its brand i order to earn huge profits.

Convenience:  Advertising help the consumers to choose the particular brand which they like it will help the to save their time when they will go to the market to buy the product.

Education for consumers:  Advertisement make the consumers aware about the new products and the functioning of the different electronic gadgets. without the advertisements  well shall never be able to know about the new companies that are entering the market.

DEMERTS:

Higher prices:  Today advertising a product is very expensive manufacturer have to spent huge money to advertise a product and to cover up their cost of advertisement they charge a higher prices from the consumers.

STRATEGY  

MEANING:

A method or a plan chosen to bring about a desired future, such as achievement of goals or solution to a problem. 

There are different types of advertising strategies that a businessman can choose to advertise the product.
