Feel like when Jason gets a bit more open around Harvey, he'll happily ramble about Jane Austen.
Inspired by the inky sort of style in this art by Sarvan_Ingen on Twitter. <3 (I failed at replicating it but it was fun at least).

And leave me and my only 3 year old daughter forever💔
I lost part of my family, my home and everything, and now live in tent

I don't know if I will survive or die in this war, but I know that your help will contribute to saving my family from death.

out for summer 24, and honestly for the rest of my life too —
overconsumption. tolerating disrespect. acting like an island. deflecting compliments through self deprecation. mixed signals. fair-weather friends. uncomfortable shoes for the sake of “style.” uncomfortable relationships for the sake of “history.” uncomfortable shrinking for the sake of “fitting in.” cheap red wine. impulse buys. saying you’re being honest when you’re actually just being mean. saying you’re fine when you’re anything but. shame. mindless scrolling. one sided love affairs. negative self-talk. toxic positivity. waiting for the other shoe to drop. waiting for things to change despite not changing a thing. waiting for ur life to start instead of realizing it already has.

Do you think Clark Kent had to be formula fed.
And do you think, for a moment, Martha Kent realized she was in over her head.
An alien baby, a canister of formula from the closest shop that she’s not even sure he can eat.
She’s just holding him in front of her with the bottle in one hand and his neck propped up in the other. He’s screaming his head off and she knows he’s hungry but she can’t bring herself to give it to him. She doesn’t know what he is, what will kill him. She may have met this baby maybe a couple hours ago but she’s already decided to protect him with her life.
Jonathan’s out in the shed trying to find any of the old baby clothes and pacifiers they were gifted while they were trying at least half a decade ago; Martha’s pretty sure she threw them all away the second the doctor broke the news.
She realizes that if they do actually do this it’s not going to be easy, and it’s actually going to be quite terrifying. They will always be waiting for that phone call, that knock on the door. From this point forward strangers and outsiders who come sniffin’ for one reason or another will terrify them.
She wonders if they’ll tell him how they actually came to be his parents, or let him live in blissful ignorance.
She counts down to three in her head. And gives him the bottle.
He drinks it happily; perfectly fine.
She can’t remember when she started holding her breath.
A loose curl of his blacker than black hair falls onto his forehead and covers his bluer than blue eyes. She brushes it away and he grabs her fingers with a grip stronger than she thought it’d be. It makes her bark out a laugh.
Something with those pudgy cheeks and that gummy smile can’t be all that terrifying.

batfam potluck was so much fun last year, let’s do it again :) #batfampotluck if you wanna bring something. everyone’s invited; repeats, nonbats, and all :))
I don’t really headcanon any bats as great or awful cooks, they just can’t be bothered. jason pulls something elaborate once or twice a year and then goes back to Sustenance

yes, percy rose through the ranks of new rome disturbingly fast. no, jason did not do the same at camp half blood. yes, percy's rise to leadership at both camps took about two weeks and was completely unplanned. no, the same cannot be said for jason. his rise was carefully planned and took over a decade. they're both children of the big three, but where percy thrums with raw power, jason is a sword honed by zeus and hera. where percy is a survivor, jason is a weapon. where percy is a cycle breaker, jason can't get out. jason's fatal flaw was temptation to deliberate because he never managed to make his own choices. he was every classic definition of a hero rolled into one, and he never questioned it because his happiness came after the responsibility. jason was never going to ascend as fast as percy because jason was raised on hard work and discipline while percy, an abuse survivor and child of poverty, knew when to fight dirty. where jason was a transplant, percy was an invasive species. jason was always going to die because he was never more than a tool for the gods to throw away when he outlived his usefulness, or when he started to question his place. if someone as locked down as jason can question the system, anyone can. now that luke has put thoughts of overthrow in everyone's heads, zeus has to be very careful because while jason was expendable as his weapon, percy was unexpected in every way. zeus has no plan for him. when percy dies, he will become a martyr, so he can't die, except now everyone knows that percy doesn't want to be a god either. jason had to die, and now percy has to live.
