you think that like part of the reason toni comes back is bc no one else is completely obsessed with her in the way tim is. and, now that most of her former life is gone (her advertising job, her ex husband, her son, her house, idk if she still in contact with her sister), she doesnt have anything else to look forward to. tim does this on purpose, isolating toni and making so much of her life revolve around him. even though her relationship with tim is so awful, she stays because its the only thing she has anymore.
#the similarities between toni and gregg keep adding up#tim keeps going i have nobody. i have nothing. when he really is just doing that to other people#those oscar specials. like a room full a people but everyone is lonely.#could be argued that gregg doesnt really need tim to isolate him from other people#the larry turman episode confirms that. he just falls back to bashing tim when he gets criticized.

the implications of manuel being kington in the movie jack decker the character made are so crazy. like decker himself, who is already tims fantasy of like who he is, has a fantasy of his life. where kington is more conventionally attractive and they touch more, and he doesnt care about codes or movies that much.
