Cas you had one job. To babysit two people. One of them visited their dead mom’s parents and the other one straight up killed a guy. Guess who’s never watching the kids again.

Lol because I totally watch Shadowhunters now and I saw this episode a couple weeks ago and now I'm just waiting for Season 3B to start
When I brought it up you acted like you wanted me to go. I guess I’m a better actor than I thought.

My name is Jo’Lissa (I go by Jo) and I’m a 23 year-old college senior at USC, living in Los Angeles, CA.
As a college student, I was receiving financial aid from the university which provided me with a small stipend at the beginning of each semester to pay for living expenses (I.e. rent). However, if any of you are from the LA area, you know that rent is like paying a double mortgage, especially in a college neighborhood. So, I was working two jobs to be able to afford to even live here and go to school at the same time.
Unfortunately, things went left pretty fast. For starters, I got extremely sick. I have been diagnosed with stage IV endometriosis, which makes even getting out of bed hard if I’m not heavily medicated all the time, which makes working extremely difficult. I’ve had three surgeries, gotten my ovary removed, and went through aggressive treatment. So, I stopped working and tried focusing solely on school with my parents recommendation. A couple months later though, my dad was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and was admitted to the ICU.
When my dad got sick, he had to stop working, which was a huge blow to my family. My mom is doing her best with trying to work and pay double (if not triple the bills), but is struggling because she also can no longer work as many hours because my dad requires virtually 24 hour, round the clock care.
So, what does all of this have to do with school and my stipend? Well, I gave it to my parents because in my opinion, that’s what any good daughter would have done. I wanted to help them pay hospital bills and home bills and I don’t regret my decision to do so. I currently have a job, but cannot possibly work as many hours as I need in order to pay my own bills while also helping my parents out.
In one week, I will be evicted from my home. Two weeks after that, my parents will be evicted. Please keep us in our homes, and help us keep a peace of mind throughout the process of healing.
Please help my friend reach her goal // donate here
Any donations will be greatly appreciated.

The Best Part of Tumblr
The best part of Tumblr is the black twitter comedy account that I follow.
Which sucks because I've already seen all their posts because I spend my entire life on black twitter.

If your vegan “activism” involves holocaust comparisons you owe me a $50 Amazon gift card and a 2,000 word essay explaining why you think Jews are comparable to cattle Goyim reblog (esp. if you’re vegan)

Also want to add that people have different resilience levels so what might be traumatic to one person may not be traumatic to another and vice versa.
Basically, you shouldn't be deciding what qualifies as traumatic unless you are a trained psychologist and know the history and background of the person.
“everyone’s been through trauma!” no, no they haven’t. hardship ≠ trauma.

Disagree with this a bit. Yes, the words are different but if you face hardships as a child, they often fall under trauma. Maybe less as an adult. The truth is, the majority of people have experienced at least one form of trauma as a child. The world we live in is inherently traumatic.
But some people do experience more trauma. You can see your trauma score by taking the ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Test. Keep in mind it's not a full list of traumatic experiences.

You can also see a list of possible traumatic experiences published by Georgetown University 's Center for Child and Human Development here : https://www.ecmhc.org/tutorials/trauma/mod1_3.html

ya’ll this cool new site lets you know if a certain movie or TV show has any affiliation with anyone who was accused of sexual assault. this is important for those of us who are passionate about not supporting work that associates itself with sexual abusers, for the sake of the victims.
