what do you see for the role of the civilians? are either the death eaters or order recruiting, or is it more trying to avoid the war?
That’s really entirely up to you!! I think that both Ellie and I have characters that we wrote leaning certain ways, in addition to characters we wrote who were intended to stay neutral/civilian in the war. Certainly I’d believe that the Death Eaters and the Order would be trying to recruit where they can to gain more power, so it’s however you interpret the character!

Hi! Super interested in this. I do have a question about some names. “Caden “ is unusual for the traditional (Arthur, Bilius) Weasley family - could we change that in an app? Also, is it supposed to be “Marcas “ or Marcus, which is the proper spelling?
Hey, lovebug! You can totally change Caden’s name in an application if you so choose! I believe it is meant to be Marcas (a Scottish name, meaning of Mars (the Roman god of war)), but I’ll totally check on that with Lucy.
Hello, Lucy here! I actually just picked Caden because I liked the idea that their names would be “A, B, C” so it’s nothing special or meaningful really! You could change it to anything you wanted to. As far as Marcas goes, Ellie is right. It was meant to be a Scottish name, so the spelling was intentional, but again we’re open to changes here!

Hey pals! I’ll be around for a bit today, so send in questions and some applications! We only need 7 more until we do acceptances and opening, so take a look around and see if anyone interests you. I’ll just be here lurking and watching this weird cancer sit-com on Netflix!

are we allowed to know the faceclaims of the apps already submitted ?
Hey, nonny! I’m sure that won’t be a problem! The Lily applicant is using the same faceclaim as in the skeleton (Sabina Karlsson) and the Alice applicant has changed to Summer Bishil! We’ll be adding a section to the app count if the applicant has chosen to change the characters faceclaim but if we don’t add that to an app, you can just assume they’ve applied with the same faceclaim as in the skeleton biography!

If applying for a character with family members who are also playable, how would you like us to treat that in the biography section? I'm concerned about adding details that are important to understanding the character and what drives them but might clash with another person's biography.
Hey, lovebug! You can treat that anyway you like - of course, there will (hopefully) come a time where their family members are also playable so you can hash out the more gritty details, but I’d just say adhere to the provided traits and connections of the other character(s) which should help you in determining what type of person they’d be in relation to your character and how important they’ll be in establishing their foundation!
So, for example, you can explain the dynamic you see them having, etc., but try to leave as much as possible open for another player to fill in for their character (i.e. we wouldn’t want a biography to completely diverge and end up telling the story of the other character as well as your own. (but additional tid-bits based on our interpretation is a-okay!)) If we get two apps for characters who are family members with conflicting information within the biographies, we’d get in touch with both applicants to address that as soon as possible. I really do hope this helps!

Just so I'm clear all of the characters under the non-binary tag only go by they/them pronouns? Or can they be more genderfluid? Just wanna know before I start my app! Thanks!
Thanks for asking, this is a great question! They can identify however you’d like them as long as they’re under the non-binary umbrella (genderfluid, genderqueer, bigender, agender, etc.). We gave them they/them pronouns as a starting off point, but you are certainly allowed to change that. We just wanted to make it clear that their gender identity as non-binary was non-negotiable, as in they’re not men or women. Just include the way that you’d like for them to identify probably in the anything else category on the application!

Hello pals! So we’ve officially decided what we’ll be doing in terms of acceptances. We’ll be accepting after we’ve received applications for 10 different characters. At the moment we have applications for 2 characters, so send some in and we can get this show on the road as soon as possible!!

CORA SELWYN: Vivien’s sister doesn’t understand her. They love one another and they spend nearly all their time together, being roommates and all. She just doesn’t get that Vivien’s neutrality in the war is a choice. Maybe she never will. Probably because she spends all her time wishing and praying to be among the Dark Lord’s most trusted. She just hopes that in all of this, she never loses her sister. KINGSLEY SHACKLEBOLT: Kingsley has been an extremely good friend to Vivien. He respects her and her choices to stay out of his investigation. She’s not really sure what she believes, and Kingsley allows her to feel that way. She’s sorry that she can’t help him more with his work, but honestly she hopes he doesn’t stop trying. Maybe soon she’ll find the courage to give way. WILLIAM TRAVERS: Travers was meant, at one time, to be Viv’s husband. Even the word makes her shudder a little bit. She’s been friends with him for almost all of her life, and yet he doesn’t know what she is. Still, as far as arranged marriages go, William wouldn’t be the worst option. He’s kind. He does love her, even if she could never love him in that way, and he’ll provide her with a comfortable life. MANISH BLISHWICK: Manish and Vivien spent very little time together in Slytherin house, just three years. They got to know each other from nights spent in the common room studying. I guess you could call Manish a bit of a tutor for Vivien, but it was more than that really. They were friends. They told one another about their days and shared hot chocolates. Today still they’re pals, but they’ve just grown so far apart since those days.

WILLIAM TRAVERS: Travers is the one person that makes her want to run for the hills. He’d tormented her to the point that she’d been terrified of venturing out of the Ravenclaw common room to go to class during her fifth, sixth and seventh year, despite being two years younger. Something about him is just incredibly off, and she doesn’t want to stick around to know what exactly he’s got up his sleeve next. GIDEON PREWETT: Gideon is a great friend, and nothing more. The amount of times they’ve been confused for a couple or anything more than platonic is quite alarming to Falda, who knows that the only love between the two is platonic, or familial, even. She’d never had any siblings, but Gideon sure enough feels like one, and she’s not about to let them go anytime soon. AUGUSTUS ROOKWOOD: Augustus is still the most unlikely friend Falda has ever made. He’d stunned her and then taken her to St. Mungo’s to make sure she hadn’t damaged her head too badly, and ended up, somehow, being one of the people Falda likes to think of as a friend, or at least, an acquaintance. She knows there’s something fishy, there, but she can’t bring herself to care that much, or to do anything about it. GWENOG JONES: Mafalda knew, the moment she met Gwenog, that she’d end up in their arms, one way or another. Their relationship ended in fire and burned a hole in Mafalda’s heart - their last argument was over a good friend, who had tried faux-flirting with Falda, and ended up sparking an argument over how Gwenog must know that she’d never do that to them. It’s been three months, and she misses them so desperately, but she’s never been any good with words or confessions and has resigned herself to moving on.
