i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

Recently, I got reminded that HTTYD exists and watched the first and second movies. THEN FOUND OUT THERE'S A SHOW I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT???? (The first show that takes place between the 1st and 2nd movies, not the newer one) anyways I've been stuck in Httyd for maybe 2 or 3 weeks, and I'm convinced I'm gonna be here forever! (Not complaining these dragons are cool) also reaaallly upset with the fact that I can't draw the dragons correctly, but whatever, I'll get over it‼️

I can't stop thinking about what Stoick was thinking after HTTYD, when dragons lived among them and his son taught him their kindness and intelligence.

Also Hiccup spends a lot of time learning how to be a leader from his dad. He regularly goes to Stoick for advice about being in charge of a group and how to handle conflict and tough decisions, and even helps him with problems between and/or with Berkians that aren't his lil gang.

canon tidbits i think people who've only seen the httyd movies should know that are confirmed in the shows:

tuffnut and snotlout are canonically talented seamsters

we see the prototype versions of hiccup's flaming sword and the flightsuit in race to the edge

hiccstrid's first kiss is in rtte and its perfect

VIGGO GRIMBORN aka the best httyd villain and the "hiccup's evil mirror" concept actually done right

there are multiple societies dedicated to protecting dragons other than berk

snotlout's assholish disposition is a consequence of his deeply held insecurities that if he can't be the best he's the worst, which is encouraged by his father

the other riders (namely snoutlout) have used the ship name hiccstrid to refer to hiccup and astrid

hiccup redeems so many villains in the shows (alvin, dagur, viggo - one of them later performing a heroic sacrifice to save him) that it's completely unsurprising he thought he could change drago's mind

hiccup punched snotlout in the face and knocked him out cold

the shows let the twins be smarter, snotlout be more thoughtful, and astrid more deranged

I PLAN on being that neighbor. My lawn is going to be a mixture of a chaotic vegetable patch, native flowers the bees like, and whatever else grows where it wants to. Maybe even some berry bushes and fruit trees scattered around.

With the price of property these days, I'm going to do what I damn well please with it, and I would rather not have a house than live in an HOA that fines me if I don't have a have a neatly manicured lawn with non-native grass that requires chemicals to live and invasive shrubs I have to replace every few years. Fuck that.

When the COVID tests were billed to health insurance, a lot of pharmacies would simply bill someone's insurance for them and then tell them they're free.

Most of the time it was fine, no harm done. But sometimes it would be a royal fuck up and then the patient would have to pay out of pocket for their own lab test, which would be hundreds of dollars.

Not only is this morally and ethically wrong, it can be illegal and can screw over the customer later.

Anon, you should really ask yourself why you are doing this. Is it for the good of the customer, or is it something corporate wants you to do? Is it worth potentially causing huge problems to people later just to meet a quota? Why do you care so much about signing people up?

Settle an argument: is it fucked up to sign up customers for a free one-time service and only inform them after the fact? The service isn't big, but it is through insurance and you do need to specifically sign them up for it using their phone number.

I wear the same clothes outside, inside, and to sleep

I change into "inside clothes" when I get home and wear those to sleep

I do not change when I get home, but change into pajamas to sleep

I change when I get home, and then again when I go to sleep

I don't leave the house/don't wear clothes/see results
