I just wanted to get some input regarding the idea of taking pearl/broadcast/echo dialogue and posting my own notes about them. I could:

Fun question!

In English? That's really difficult to choose. English has some really whacky words to choose from. But I think there is one word that really does take the gold medal.

Fuck.

The word 'fuck' can be used as a noun, every type of verb, adjective, adverb, interjection, conjunction, even a tmesis (a word that can be inserted right in the middle of a word). It can be removed from any sentence (except those using it as a verb/noun) and still make sense, or conversely added almost anywhere to any sentence. It and its associated phrases change the tone of any sentence from sounding at least mildly scholarly or formal to com-fucking-pletely casual and informal as fuck. It can also make a sentence emotionally charged, as the word used outside of a casual context is used to convey strong emotion, such as anger or frustration.

It's one of very few words even beyond the English language with this level of versatility, and it really reflects the sort of qualities I appreciate in something. It has myriad purposes, can be applied to things outside of its intended purpose, and best of all, makes the boomers mad. /j

so what inspired you to make a rain world au? anything in particular, was it just some Divine Inspiration?

Autism. /j

Mostly because I really like Rain World but I don't like how Downpour ended. I also liked how loosely a lot of iterators are characterised, especially SRS, UI, and SoS, so my brain instantly filled in gaps, such as making SRS rather socially inept on the basis of their questionable actions, UI a level-headed and practical iterator specifically made to keep other iterators alive and running, SoS being a workaholic, etc. Not to mention getting to write NSH dialogue!

Like most media I engage with, my mind instantly flew with this world, its mechanics, and its characters. Before this was Sonic the Hedgehog, and I have two separate and MASSIVE AUs, one of which being a totalitarian dystopia very loosely adapting Sonic Forces simply because I didn't like Sonic Forces all that much. And it's packed full of allegory, messages, and themes, just like how my Rain World AU is shaping up. (and just like that dystopian Sonic AU, this one's name is still pending...)

It's my favourite way to engage with media now. Plus, I can take a bunch of my old Warrior Cats OCs and turn them into silly iterator names!
