sorry if i’m always talking about coronavirus but i do cause other countries should learn from italy because we were the first that didn’t care about it cause for everyone it was like a “normal flu” and because “only old people and people with other pathologies die”. we were the first one that were celebrating the milan fashion week and tought that the coronavirus would never come. but then, at the end of the fashion week, at the end of the carnival... here’s the first case of coronavirus in the north italy: a man of 38yo, an healthy athletic man without any pathology went to the hospital because he was sick, had fever, cough.. doctors tought it was pneumonia so they sent him at home and three days later he couldn’t breathe on his own and so they did the test and discovered that he had coronavirus. in that moment we understood that it doesn’t care if you are healthy or not, young or old... you can get the virus and you can die. after the first case doctors and nurses tested all the people that he met and so many of them have the coronavirus, also his pregnant wife. our prime minister reacted so fast that he put the hole city in lockdown. then the lombardy. then the whole italy, accepting the risks. everything started that 19th of february and almost a month later.. we have 20.603 cases, 1809 dead and 2335 have healed. after a week of quarantine, i can say that this is not a normal flu. you can’t hug, hold hands or kiss anyone, like your parents, your grandparents, friends, boyfriends and girlfriends, brothers and sisters. schools, universities and traineeships are closed and so all the shops except the supermarkets and drugstores in which you have to enter one by one. you can’t leave the house, you can’t go for a walk, you can’t do anything. you wake up everyday and you see that a whole health care system is collapsing because of this virus. there are not enough beds, ventilation devices, doctors or nurses and the result of this is that doctors have to chose who save and of course... they safe the youngest and so the grandad or grandma die and you can’t even say goodbye to them and so they asked to nurses and doctors to recorded them and send to their families the video in which they say goodbye. and while doctors and nurses work for the whole day without breaks and people fight for their lives... italians at midday applaud health workers, at 6pm they sing italian songs and the national anthem as loud as they can to support people and at 9pm they turn all the lights off to light up the light of the phone for the people who are fighting against this virus. we are living for these small moments. even if we can’t touch, we are united in our hearts.

i know that italy is not the only country who is living this nightmare now and unfortunately there are some countries who are underestimating the virus with the sentence “it is like a normal flu” but please... even if your prime minister said that and don’t want to do anything for your country... try your best in small actions, wash your hands, stay at home if you can and avoid crowded places. stay safe. 🤍

♡ LOVER FEST: imagine if... ♡

❁ the day has finally arrived. you’ve been memorizing every single word off of “lover” for months, working on your outfit, and making group chats with your swiftie internet friends from around the world in order to meet up at the show. BUT before you go to the show, there are a few crucial steps you must take to be fully prepared for the once in a lifetime experience:

step #1: picking out your outfit

❁ first, you pick out whichever outfit you’ve worked on or decided upon wearing that day. whether it’s handmade, girly festival, or taylor’s merch!

step #2: begin getting ready

❁ second, you begin getting ready (either with friends in person/on facetime, or by yourself)

step #3: hair and makeup

❁ you start doing your makeup, hair, and make sure there’s plenty of glitter and hearts where you want them.

step #4: nails and accesories

❁ after you’re done with your makeup and put your outfit on, you paint your nails based off of the lover color scheme. then, you pick out essential accesories that cannot be forgotten. for example: friendship bracelets, colorful socks, scrunchies, hair accessories (flower crowns, barrettes), heart gems (or makeup) around your eye, and of course: PAPER RINGS! you smile at yourself in the mirror when you’re finished getting ready, take and post pictures on social media and get in the car to go to the festival.

step #5: getting to the venue (and eating)

❁ when you get there, volunteers give you a light up bracelet and you waltz into the venue. everything’s pastel, glittery, and filled with swifties from around the world. you notice lover cookies being sold, cotton candy, and donuts (and you go get some because woah, delicious)

step #6: the concert

❁ after eating delicious food, fangirling with friends, and taking pictures in every single backdrop you could find with taylor’s face or name; you walk to your respective seat. “cruel summer” begins playing and everyone’s light up bracelets are flickering in sync. you cry, dance/jump until your feet can’t take it anymore, and have the time of your life with your second family: taylor and the swifties💘
