She really shouldn’t have encouraged this. Most importantly, she shouldn’t have  allowed herself to feel anything... of that sort, as she thought to herself quite evasively, as if that way all those feelings and emotions had much less power over her. But she knew, and better than anyone for that matter, that it was too late, way too late. Too late to deny that...

With a haughty “hmph” Lysithea crossed her arms and turned away, her lips pursed, as if she had already said everything that needed to be said, and if her rhetorical question was not satisfactory enough, then she clearly had no idea what would suffice. It was ridiculous. Childish, even. Of her, that is, even though she would never, ever admit it. And deep down, she knew it. And she hated that she was aware of that fact. Alas, it was too late to turn back.
