Eye of the Beholden
Prologue
I had a fun conversation with an esteemed colleague the other day.
We were debating the merits of some language or platform or framework against another (conversations like these are part of his job description and I'm opinionated as hell, so it's always a fun time).
I think we had gone back and forth for about five minutes, playing ping pong with point/counterpoint, find the flaw, drag a few other frameworks through the mud and into the argument when all of the sudden, the snake ate its own tail.
In the process of countering each point along the way, we'd invalidated both of our original premises, along with just about any other argument you could make.
Dialogue
Colleague takes hammer from Cazbot and pounds the final nail into the coffin by invalidating the original premises.
A brief pause, while all parties register the fact.
Cazbot: "It doesn't matter, because Everything Sucks."
Colleague: "Yea..."
Silence
Epilogue
Everything Sucks and Everything's Broken, Always.
Do What Thou Wilt (just don't fuck it up in Production).

Without Further Ado
Well, tumblr made a good showing in getting people off their asses to help stop SOPA. Plus, I've got a little bit of spare time and a lot to grumble about. So I think I'l make a stab at blogging, or whatever you kids call it these days, again.
As per the usual (if it wasn't already painfully obvious), these words are not the words of the Boston Globe or the New York Times, even if they give me money for typing sometimes.
