The Architect as a human.

The idea of this art came to me after one weird dream. One autumn night I was sleeping and had a dream where I and my former colleagues were the grey wardens, and we came into abandoned fortress. Then our party split, and I went to the hall that led me to the room, where a man was sitting at a table with lots of scientific stuff and trying to burn his face with magical fire. I held my shield and sword prepared for battle but the man noticed me and immediately stopped doing that. I realized suddenly that he was the Architect but his face was completely human... and stunningly symmetrical and beautiful. He stared at me with his frightened eyes, and they were pure golden. I let him live, and woke up.

So after that I decided to draw the Architect as a human despite of being attracted to his tainted form. It was quite challenging because I had no idea how to draw his features except the golden eyes. In my dreams everything change shapes like in AI video. I feel especially weird about his headdress but let it be so.

I could not help but let this weird little piercing in the corner of his lips stay on place. I just adore this tiny detail of his original appearance even if I'm not sure he had it before his transformation. The ring looks like it had some function, maybe it prevented the skin on the place of the deep scar from tearing or something.

They'll be featured in some Fade/flashback scenes later on in my fanfic 'Nothing but ambition where hearts once beat' so I decided to come up with some fun designs for these 7 bastards ♡

I'm obsessed with the Architect. Wish we met him again after Awakening... Just one more time, please. Why he was abandoned and forgotten? His storyline had a great potential, but tha fuk happened to DA lore??? At the same time, it's good he's not involved, I don't want him to be ruined as a character.

He's amazing nonetheless. At least his appearance is so unnatural yet so beautiful. He was one of the hardest characters to draw ever but I loved the process.🤩

The Architect is one of the reasons why I'm into Dragon Age. ALL BECAUSE OF HIM, HE IS THE REASON WHY I AM HERE
