hi i’m one of the 200 primarily bc i forgot to unfollow. i didn’t even watch the last couple seasons, but now staying followed feels like rebellion against this ending.

Hi an update! This fandom is still shit. And to think all of this started because of a shipping war. Feels bad man. Like I thought many of the fandom police were bad... but no... everybody was equally awful especially when the show ended. I mean look at how some of the popular sheith shippers treated some of the multi shippers and people that actually were okay with the ending when they didn't get what they wanted. I can guarantee that if the shipping war never happened the show wouldn't have ended the way that it did.

Honestly, I'm sick of the new trend of war shows aimed at kids. So many like VLD are filled with hopelessness. That's honestly, something I got tired of with VLD especially, was while it was supposed to be aimed at kids (and it was in the kids section of netflix) it was constantly bashing in "WAR, WAR, THIS IS WAR" that it felt like the creators lost the wonder of imagination when everything kept pointing to basically "hope is dead, you all will die to war, hope is dead."

You know... the timing of that article you mentioned seem very convenient. Like it's perfect for riling up people. Like the author and his source wanted to stir the pot and it worked.

if convenient is what you what to call it then yes I guess it is. I do find it very strange that it is the perfect time for this. Who ever lied it does not matter what matters is both of their reputations are already in shambles. Besides it's not like anybody is going to believe them anyway based on their track record of silence when it comes to the truth. But whatever it is the author of that article had the perfect opportunity to finally destroy them and they took it knowing that some of their evidence could be called flimsy but also knowing that enough people would believe them without question.I'm more on the lines on thinking everybody is a liar and I can trust no one because nobody will tell me the truth.

Sorry Cleo. Been betrayed by LM myself with her other shows... It fucking hurts and it's why I stopped trusting her as a creator.

...I've had time to reflect. All in all I've realized that I really can't trust anything that's being said right now. Especially that article, so yes there is a possibility that they might have lied. There's also the possibility that the source that he got his info from could also be lying. In short we really don't know what happened but all we really do know is that some people are lying but I don't know who. I don't think we will ever get the truth.

why semi-retirement?

Because nothing has hurt me more than this fandom has. The ending hurt yes, but the aftermath is what hurt me the most. People saying that they were better than those fandom policers, when in actuality they weren't all that different from them, especially when they couldn't get what they want. I thought we were better but we weren't...And it kills me inside, I can't even look at certain ships now without being sad... so semi retirement... for now. It's not forever though.I'll still pop in to check on things.

I actually deleted my Voltron blog and my fict is on permanent hiatus, because I am terrified the fandom will harass me to hell, for my ship. :/ It really sucks, because I loved running that blog and I had a tiny but niche following... I wanted to enjoy Voltron so badly but it feels impossible to actually enjoy what I like about it because people in this fandom will hurt and kill each other over ships and I am NOT about that. I don't want to get threatened and doxxed because I like a ship.

It's best to let it go and move on in my personal experience. Because this fandom isn't worth it. You can always find a better one. But to be fair I don't think anybody has the balls to kill anyone because I know for a fact most of the people here are cowards.

there's a 40something sk shipper who's harassed many fans and even said that the voice actors getting sex abuse allegations against them or any other bad things is karma for them supporting shurtis and invalidating fans about the ending. all that over a goddamn ship.

I'm so tired...And I'll repeat again they know what it's like to be harassed over a fictional relationship so why would they do it to others is beyond me.

If you're talking about the ones that bullied and harrassed that popular multiship artist to the point where she had to leave, then yes. They really are the same. The question is sk shippers know what it's like to be bullied for no apparent reason so why would they do it to others?I fucking get that the ending sucked, but that gives you no right to take it out on others just because you didn't get what you wanted.
