Tie the ribbon !

a/n: I forgot how to format a fic... these two are so stupid. this was written for the release of the momoiro no kagi 2dmv because we all went insane hehe.

also emotsper if you see this, I'm thinking of you.

“Ugh!”, Airi groaned in frustration, letting her hands drop into her lap. The probably 8th attempt at tying a ribbon into her hair failed once again. Her hands kept cramping, the fabric kept scrunching up, and it always looked off. Hands returned to her ponytail, to try again, as her mind wandered back to her first attempt of tying her ribbon, where it looked somewhat okay. If only she had never undone it. 

“Airi?”

“Uwa–!”, Airi jumped in her seat, losing her grip on the ribbon. 

“Shizuku! Knock before coming in!”, Airi was incredibly overwhelmed by every sensation around her, and it showed. 

“I did knock… Do you need help?”, Shizuku walked up behind Airi’s chair, making eye contact with her through the mirror. 

Airi sighed and averted her eyes. “Yeah”

Shizuku hummed, and held out her hand for Airi to give her the little black ribbon. 

Her hands moved up onto one of Airi’s side ponytails. Shizuku tied a simple knot, before then tying the ribbon. 

“Is this okay?”, Shizuku asked, looking at her work. And it looked absolutely… 

“Perfect…”, Airi said, her voice barely above a whisper. 

“I’m glad”, Shizuku replied, “can I do the other one as well?”

“I mean… Sure”, a soft smile wandered onto Airi’s face. 

Shizuku picked up the second ribbon, tying it around Airi’s second ponytail. When she was done, she put her hands onto Airi’s shoulders and chuckled. 

“You look so pretty”, Shizuku said absentmindedly. 

A shiver ran down Airi’s spine. Shizuku's warm hands, her soft eyes on her face, and her compliment leaving her mouth as if it was the most natural thing to say for her, it was all too much. A deep red color could be found on Airi’s face, and Shizuku noticed. 

“Oh! Your face is a little red. Did you apply too much blush?”, she wondered, leaning down so her face was next to Airi’s, and her hand went to hold her face. 

“Sh–Shizuku…”, Airi muttered, pushing her hand away. 

“Is something wrong? Are you not feeling well?”, Shizuku asked, with genuine concern in her voice. 

Airi turned away completely before her face returned to normal again. 

“You’re so stupid…”

“Why? What did I do? Here let me see your face, I can fix your make up too!”, Shizuku exclaimed excitedly, following Airi as she stood up. 

“There’s nothing to fix–!”

Before Airi could react, Shizuku stood before her, her hand on her cheek and leaning down to properly examine her face, her face being way. too. close. 

“Are you guys almost done? We wanted to record the MV s– Ah…”, Haruka said, standing in the doorway. 

Airi froze up, her face red, and her mouth open, ready to protest. Shizuku just stood there unmoving and oblivious. 

“I’ll tell Minori and the others to wait a few more minutes”, Haruka said, leaving and closing the door behind her. 

“W–Wait!! Haruka–it’s not what it looks like!!”, Airi shouted, running after her. 

“Airiiii! I thought we were going to fix your make up!”

BTW i see these posts all the time like "ohhh i dont know what to comment on fics.." and every response is "keysmashes! or hearts!! anything works :3" and thats GREAT!! thats helpful!!

but: consider. if u genuinely like analyzing writing.. do u know ur just allowed to go through and quote your favorite parts and ramble abt what they mean to u and the author will LOSE IT WITH HYPE?

genuinely. i felt SO WEIRD the first time i did it.. but like. holy shit authors love it. its crack for authors. the first time i did it, it was on a fic that hadnt updated in half a year, give or take, and the author made 3 updates that month BECAUSE OF MY COMMENT.

LIKE. as an author every comment is INCREDIBLE!!! but also, dont feel like your comment has to be short or otherwise ur invasive or smth!! authors ADORE long comments more than ANYTHING.

"Airi?? Airi-chan wake up!", Shizuku had a firm grip on Airi's shoulder and was shaking her in an attempt to wake her. "Ah- Shizuku...?", Airi abruptly sat up and stared around the room in a cold sweat.

"Airi-- you were thrashing around in your sleep like...", Shizuku softened the grip she had on Airi's shoulder, but her hand remained in its place. "Yeah... I had a bad dream", Airi burried her face in her hands, a long sigh escaping her lips. "Hm and you were...", Shizuku seemed to trail off. "I was what?" "You kept saying my name in your sleep", Shizuku responded and followed up with a giggle. "WH-- I was not!" "You were, you were!"

Airi let her head fall back onto her pillow, and she pulled her blanket all the way over her head, as Shizuku kept chuckling.

"Hey Shizuku... I'm glad you're here with me", Airi uttered after a minute or two. Shizuku's face brightened. "Airi!!! I'm glad you're here too!!" "Ah-- Hey! Wait-- stay on your mattress-- Shizuku!!"

Why, of course I'm still around! I'm not that easy to get rid of. To the second point; nah it's not in a notes app for the most part. I write some things down in advance, but for the most part it just comes right out of the ol' brain into the askbox. Unless I'm writing it as a fic, that is.

Recently, I've also been thinking about kanamafu and glasses. Based on Mafuyu's one trained card, I do think she has reading glasses, though she doesn't wear them super frequently. She doesn't need them, it just makes things a bit easier.

Kanade does not wear glasses. Kanade SHOULD be wearing glasses. (inspired by me getting an area conversation of Kanade going "I don't see anybody today" in the empty SEKAI with Meiko, Luka, and Mizuki literally right there with her)

Kanade's incredibly nearsighted, but also incredibly stubborn on the issue. She's always sitting right up next to her computer so it's fine, she doesn't need glasses, she's been doing just okay without them for years. Mafuyu, after living with her for about a day: "you need glasses." - K
