Olympia
Here is a poem that I wrote in approximately 2006.
Her body is a map; a topographical Mess of her skin and flesh. Her skin is coloured dun like dunes of misted sand, Her skin a faint mirage. The dip between her thights is as a jungle when Spread wider by request; And from her feet appear the burbled row of toes: As pebbles, nails reflect. Like this do they dissect and make a mockery of bare fertility. She will inspire and serve until at last the brush With which they hunt has ceased. For into her they stride, interrogate her form, And they the valley part. They penetrate her cloak of stoic, solid heat And drain their inkpots dry. And then their harsh, colonial bureaucracy Make camp below her knee. But not a movement yet does she, the one explore Have nerve enough to make. So when he proclaims end, that lean cartographer, And rises to hit feet; She takes her meagre coin, re-covers and retreats, To sheate another’s call.

I hadn’t thought about you for at least a day
And that was strange because with all the whispers in my head of memories and meals gone past you’d think I would have come upon a tantalising glimpse of us
But whether full of jam on toast or curled up like a ginger cat upon a red divan I think my mind will always have a corner with a speck of you
Because I wish you took me by the shoulders when I tried to leave and pulled me back inside and told me that the fault was not with me and took it back
For when I tripped and nourished you far past the point of recklessness without a thought to set aside an ounce or two of preservation for myself
The easier solution was to blame the jar for emptiness instead of you who ate your fill and let me try to sate myself with crumbs alone
I hadn’t thought about you for at least a day until I realised I’d been skipping breakfast.

It’s a slow ache.
The kind that thrums below the surface, that staunchly stays behind when prescientness of grief and loss move on.
An ache of what was once can’t be should not.
You’re scared to talk to me I’m scared of what would happen if you did ‘cause when I left I wanted you to hold me back, to scream and cry and make me stay with every fibre of those wrinkled torn up wrung out hands
but
you said goodbye.
It’s like you didn’t get it, didn’t see that when I stepped away I needed you to follow me to prove to me to prove it to the part of me that can’t believe you’d want to.
So gathered there that quietly aching belly full of stones that clack around when by mistake I catch a glimpse of bright blue eyes reminds me
I’m collateral.

I was sat up at about a 45 degree angle. Was def getting a bit sore at the end of my 2 hour session. Take a pillow for behind your back and under your bum?
Can anyone who’s had the outside of their calf tattooed tell me how they were positioned for their session. I have 6 hours tomorrow and I’m worried about getting a dead leg/ lower back pain.

Saying that man and woman are the only genders is actually LESS nuanced than saying that earth, water, air, and fire are the only elements.

Big W had a couple options, black and blue and grey maybe? Not inspiring but cheap.
Where is a good place to buy cardigans in Australia (size 26-28)? Or maybe overseas if it isn’t cost prohibitive. I saw a cute Hell Bunny one on Yours Clothing and it had flamingo patches but it was nearly $80 and I died.
I’m after the round neck button up style.

A couple of people have been interested in buying cloth pads made by me so I tried to set up a really convoluted system on my shop then gave up because it was… convoluted. So I’m just going to start simple here on tumblr.
My pattern is especially suited to fat people. It has a wider middle to suit underwear with a wider gusset, and the length is 11″. Your pad will be made to order for you, it will not be used, and the fabric has been pre-washed to remove excess dye and preshrink the fibres. The wings wrap around your underwear gusset and snap together.
I can offer three levels of absorbency -
light AUD$8
medium AUD$10
heavy AUD$12
For exposed core pads you need to choose a flannelette topper, and a cotton woven base. The above photos were taken under non-fabulous light and the plains (navy, teal, turquoise and pink) aren’t displayed correctly. When you choose a combo I’ll take a photo of the fabrics together tomorrow in natural lighting so you can see better.
For hidden core pads you can choose a flannelette or a cotton woven fabric.
The absorbent cores include cotton fleece and polar fleece, and the backing is a waterproof fabric called PUL. At the moment I have grey with white stars and I’ll be getting some ivory plain PUL delivered in the next day or so.
If you want to order, shoot me a message and let me know your choices, your paypal email, and your postal address. (I’ll estimate the postage first.)
