scream 1 is so funny because there's a whole list of things you could say about billy loomis and why he does the things he does. his deep-rooted misogyny, the internalized homophobia, his relationship with his mom, the fact that it's likely he's had violent urges since he was young, the way he pretends to be a kind and socially acceptable person, the "perfect boyfriend," how his entire image is built on a lie, including the lies that he tells to himself to justify the atrocious things he does.
