I find funny how the anime constantly makes Shigaraki look like Lou Ferrigno in terms of muscles, in some cases his head looks like it doesn't belong to his own body:

But then you have Horikoshi drawing him like this...

Like sure, the muscles are still there but he's not this giant hulk with biceps the size of his head.

Even the manga in the first war arc doesn't have him looked like the anime does:

And I remember even the wiki copes with the idea that the surgery was supposed to give him extra muscles, but that was never stated officially and in any case his natural muscles came from the training in MVA.

Idk what's this obssesion the anime has for making all male characters buff as hell, even Dabi when canonically he's also a pipsqueak.

In chapter 281, we see how Tomura and Gran Torino each remember Kotaro Shimura (Tomura's father, Nana's son, etc).

Tomura remembers Kotaro as that angry father who hated heroes. Tomura also vividly remembers the abuse he received from him for just liking heroes at all.

Gran Torino instead remembers Kotaro as that crying child Nana had to give up at the orphanage. He was there with Nana when she had to give up Kotaro, and Torino was also the one who comforted Nana about losing her kid.

So, while Torino acts like he doesn't care about Nana's family, he did kinda feel bad about Nana losing her son. So when Torino said "What a face..." when he looked at Tomura, I wonder if he was somehow hoping to see anything similar to Nana or Kotaro in him.

He remembers Kotaro as being a crying child, but then Tomura is telling him just what kind of adult Kotaro grew up to be. Torino probably didn't find those similarities he was (hoping?) for, but ig it did give him some thoughts to think abt at the hospital later (horrible thoughts lol)

Anyways. I just found the juxtaposition of how Tomura and Torino view Kotaro interesting. Tomura and Torino might share an indirect history, but they have different memories and perspectives on the whole thing. It just adds another layer to how different they are from each other in the end.
