Body language tells a lot
Body movements are more clearly visible than tone of voice, but somehow people tend to overlook and skip it.
Each person has their own pattern of behaviour. To detect people, you should not skip their gestures. When they grab the back of their neck and rub it, cross their arms, clear their throat, swallow, clench their jaw or compress their lip, do not jump into the assumption like a cold room or dry lip. Even a person who does those gestures might not really be conscious of it because it is their bodily reactions toward their inward feelings or emotions. These actions/gestures can be indicative of anger, controlling, difficulty, deception, or nervousness.
Another thing to look at is a smile. Smiling is not always the indicator of happiness. You must have heard of a sad smile which is a smile on a lip with a sad gaze in the eyes. Here are the classifications of the smile that you might want to focus on :
Reward smile: Lips are pulled upwards, dimples at the sides of mouth and eyebrows lift. This is the indicator of positive feedback.
Affiliative smile: The act of pressing lips together while also making little dimples at the side of the mouth. This is a sign of liking and attraction.
Dominant smile: The upper lip is raised and cheeks get pushed upwards, with the wrinkled nose and raised upper lids. People who smile like that know that they have the upper hand.

Build Your Mind Reading Ability
First thing to remember, there is no such thing like the mind reading ability which was shown in those fantasy movies—when one with this special power can look into someone’s eyes or touch someone’s hands and immediately figure out what’s going on in their mind.
It’s not a gifted ability. To be able to read or predict what is on people's minds, you don’t have to be that special person who is chosen to be given the power. You can build this ability by practicing the following instructions and suggestions.
First, you need to talk to that person, distance observation won’t give you anything. In the conversation, be observative and focused. Here are the things that you can look at on :Â
Words and tones
Verbal expression and the voice that a person uses can significantly tell how he or she feels toward something. For example, people who are lying tend to use more complex sentence structure and more words than necessary.
Eyes
Blinking too much or too little is quite unnatural. People tend to blink more frequently and fast when they are under pressure and feeling distressed. On the other hand, people who rarely blink might intentionally try to control their expression because they are hiding something. For example, poker players are purposely trying to be calm though they have nothing in their hands. Â
