Bánh Cuốn (Rolled Rice Pancake)

Bánh cuốn is made from a thin, wide sheet of steamed fermented rice batter filled with a mixture of cooked seasoned ground pork, minced wood ear mushroom, and minced shallots. Sides for this dish usually consist of chả lụa (Vietnamese pork sausage), sliced cucumber, and bean sprouts, with the dipping sauce which is fish sauce called nước chấm.  A plate of bánh cuốn is a light dish traditionally eaten as breakfast but now can also be found as a late night snack.

The paddle-boat ride provides an interesting look into local cottage industry of making coconut candies. Moreover, in January will take place Sa Dec Flower Festival to prepare for traditional Lunar New Year.

Five-way intersection market is located in Soc Trang city where is the meeting point of the three big canals, namely Xang, Quan Lo Phung Hiep and Xeo Chich.The market is the hub where goods from Ho Chi Minh City and the neighboring provinces can be transported to other destinations. Boats of all sizes begin to crowed this section of the canals very early in the morning. Sometimes during the day, boats become so dense that they are strongly reminiscent of a traffic jam.
